Flash Drive - More Than Enough For Day To Day Work

Advantages: Small, Cheap, Easy to Use, Fast, Size - Enough for day to day work
Disadvantages: Chunky

...I originally picked up this USB flash drive for only £10 not too long ago and have been reasonably happy with what I've bought as a whole. Size (Digitally) **************** This drive is 2GB's in size making it excellent to carry a descent amount of work around with you no matter where you are or where your going. When putting the USB flash drive into the USB port it is extremely easy to use because this and most flash drives are plug and play devices which allow the device to be inserted and from that moment the user can use the device almost instantly after the system automatically installs it. Design ********* This flash drive can come in many other colours besides the colour blue as displayed in the Ciao picture. I also have a black one in the same size for example. There is a cap or top which is able to be pulled away...

Kingston USB 2GB Flash Drive

Advantages: Speed of small transfers
Disadvantages: No ReadyBoost, feels cheap

...Hi today I will be reviewing a Kingston DataTravler 2GB USB Flash Drive. I bought this a few months ago after losing my other flash drive. It cost me 9.97 from PC World but I believe you can get them cheaper in other places. Speed For the data that I transfer to it i.e. pictures and some small visual basic programs it transfers them extremely quick compared to some cheap flash drives I have used in the past. Problems So far I have had no major problems other than in windows vista it is not capable of running ReadyBoost which a free flash drive I had a while ago could. Size The overall size of the flash drive is quiet good the USB connector slides in and out with a rather flimsy press and slide switch. Feel The Kingston feels rather cheap and plastic considering the price I paid for it anyway. Over all this is not a bad...

The Integral 4GB Memory Stick is good value

Advantages: Fast, good value, lightweight, large storage capacity, robust and convenient.
Disadvantages: Not as slimline as other models

...The integral 4GB memory stick provides a fast and reliable way of transferring and storing data. It is ideal for transferring large files such as software, media and music between computers. The design is robust so can withstand being dropped and also very lightweight and small so it is ideal for attaching to a keyring or similar. You simply plug the device into an available usb port on your computer which will detect it automatically. There is no requirements to upload any software in order to use this item. "Integral" are one of the few manufacturers who offer a large amount of storage (up to 8GB) at a very reasonable price and I cannot see any disadvantage in their items other than it is maybe not as slimline as other similar items. Overall a very good buy....

Sony Micro Vault Tiny - USB flash drive - 2 GB

Advantages: Stylish design. Available in a variety of colours.
Disadvantages: Too small and easy to lose. Flimsy carrying pouch.

...Sony's Microvault Tiny flash drives have been available for some time now and like other USB pen drives they are coming down in price and are available in increasing capacities. The pen drive itself is very easy to use. It works fine on Windows machines and Apple Macs. A small green light shows when data is being transferred. Like other pen drives they offer a highly durable way to store and transport files. What sets these pen drives apart from the rest are their looks. The design is very stylish and futuristic and in my view these are some of the nicest looking pen drives out there. They are available in a variety of colours, depending on the capacity of the drive. They are also the smallest and thinnest pen drives I have seen - smaller in real life than in the picture. It's amazing how much information can be stored on such...

The courier who flashes when he delivers!

Advantages: Transfer data from one computer to another very quickly.
Disadvantages: Quite small, could get lost and a small capacity.

...that effect!) Before I tell you just how easy it is to use, I will tell you the little bit I have found out about Integral. Integral is a brand of Just Rams Plc, one of the largest memory distributors in Europe. The Integral brand aims to offer high quality digital products and value for the end user. (I told you it was a little bit!) The company says that their little flash drive can do all this:- ? Replacement for your floppy disks, Zip drives and CD-R?s ? Read speed of up to 12MB/s (80x) ? Write speed of up to 3MB/s (20x) ? Drag and Drop file to and from your Courier USB Flash Drive using Windows Explorer ? Support for Windows and Mac OS ? True Plug and Play (powered by your PC) ? LED light ? Backward compatible with USB 1.1 (works at USB 1.1 speed) They are available in larger capacities too, 64MB, 128MB, 256MB...

Toshiba U3 USB Flash Drive 4Gb

Advantages: U3 support
Disadvantages: Intrusive programme everytime you plug it into a computer

...The Toshiba U3 flash drive provides a versatile way to store your memory. It comes in 4 sizes - 512Mb, 1Gb, 2Gb and 4Gb. It supports U3 and allows the user to install programmes on the USB drive, and then run it on the computer directly. --- the BASICS --- The Toshiba U3 flash drive is shaped as a normal USB drive - long and thin. It has a cap to cover the opening of the USB port. The cap is connected to the main part by a small string which comes with the drive. Other than that the drive has no other parts. The storage provided by the drive shows up as 3.79Gb. This is because 4Gb is actually 4,000,000 bytes. When divided by 1024 twice (into Kb and Mb) it is actually just 3.79Gb. Furthermore even more space is used up - this is illustrated by the fact that when the user plugs into the computer, it shows up as 2 drives - the removable...

Review of Toshiba USB flash drive - 4 GB

A slim and compact USB Flash Drive.

Advantages: Slim, compact, very trendy outlook and fast performance.
Disadvantages: None really.

...-sheet I always use this 1GB flash drive. It has a very good and fast data transfer rate. It?s safe, easier to carry and hassle free. I attached this flash drive to my keys for extra safety. I have lost four to five flash drive before. As it is very small it is very difficult to realize when I drop/lose it somewhere. So I think it?s better to be attached with my key chain. Sometimes, my PC does not detect this flash drive. But if I restart my computer then it detects the flash Drive easily. Other than that, I did not face any difficulties or problems using this USB flash drive. I am really happy with the performance of it. ~Compatibility~ ? It works fine with any available USB connection s (both 1.1 and 2.0). But it performs better and faster in USB 2.0 connection as it has better transfer rate 480Mbit/Sec. ? It is compatible...

Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drive - 2 GB

Advantages: fast, lifetime-warranty
Disadvantages: nothing

...I gave my 2GB Kingston flash drive a few months ago and I think it's really great. I can use it for Microsoft Windows Vista ReadyBoost to speed up my PC. It's not too expensive and it has got a life-time warranty. It's really fast and every operating system contents a driver to use it. If you want to buy a somewhat cheap flash drive, and need a good quality buy that. Most of new PCs can boot from USB nowadays. Thanks to the USB 2.0 technology I can boot up my favourite live Linux distribution from it and I can save it back when I finished the work. You can use it for system rescue too but if you don't need these special "features" just use it to store and move data. :)...

Corsair Flash Voyager USB flash drive - 32 GB

Advantages: large storage and build of quality
Disadvantages: expensive for a flash drive but you get what you pay for

...As a rule I try not to carry my laptop around with me, opting instead to transport files the easy way using USB flash drives, of which I have 3 due to the size of the files I have to load and upload. My first encounter with a flash drives came with the expensive yet disappointing Lexar and over the years I've steadily moved from one to another gradually increasing the memory size as the size of files seems to spiral out of all proportion! I paid just £65.99 for the Corsair Flash Voyager USB flash drive from our IT supplier and with a 32 GB memory I had anticipated it being my final purchase of a flash drive for a considerable period of time. Opting for a USB flash drive from a company like Corsair meant that I knew I would be getting a product of quality, and the Flash Voyager oozes quality and style. Compact and durable the drive can...

SanDisk Cruzer Micro - USB flash drive - 2 GB

Advantages: no cap, large sorage space, U3 software is useful
Disadvantages: U3 auto-installing may annoy some people

...Firstly this USB drive is quite small, it looks good and as soon as you plug it in a big orange light starts up, it doesn’t have a cap (so you won't lose the cap!) and comes with a neck strap. The USB data transfer is quite fast, there is not much lag and the computer immediately picks up that the USB stick is plugged in. However as soon as you plug in the stick then it starts to install the U3 software on the PC, this could annoy some people but the software is very useful. You can download many free portable ap’s and can synchronise the USB with the PC using this, its a useful feature and also includes some security features, preventing nosey people looking through your files. The U3 software also has an instruction manual/tour on it, preventing the need for there to be any paper manuals with the device. The 2GB...
