Kingston 1Gb Flash Drive
Advantages: Compact, fast, reliable
Disadvantages: Lack of transportation strap
...I remember when USB flash drives hit the market a few years back when you could fit a staggering 16Mb worth of data on a device the size of your middle finger. Since then capacity has increased and prices have decreased at an alarming rate. For example you can now get 4Gb flash drives for cheaper than the original 16Mb drives which represents great value for money.
--Whats in the box --
Contents of the box are minimalistic to say the least, there is the drive itself and a little strap which you can then use to attach the drive to your belt/keyring, etc. This device really is plug and play in its simplest form, there arent even any instructions supplied with it, mainly because none are required.
-- Useage --
Plugging the drive into a spare USB slot will give you an extra drive in Windows Explorer (My Computer) typically F...

A slim and compact USB Flash Drive.
Advantages: Slim, compact, very trendy outlook and fast performance.
Disadvantages: None really.
...
PNY Attaché? is one of the most famous USB Flash Drive brands introduced by PNY to the customers. It has various series with different characteristics and unique facilities. These series are such as Attaché Optima, Attaché Original, and Attaché Premium etc. All of them have a very trendy and unique outlook and they come with various storage capacity. I bought my 1 GB PNY Attaché Premium Capless - 1 GB from Currys. Actually, I bought a laptop Accessory pack for my latest ACER laptop from them and it cost me 29.99 GBP. This accessory pack came with a laptop carry-bag, one Attaché premium 1GB USB flash drive, one USB mouse and 10 blank DVD?s.
LET?s GET STARTED
It has a very slim and classy outlook with swivel design. It means, this USB Flash Drive has no cap, instead you need to pull it out from the main frame and plug in...

Victorinox Swissbit USB flash drive - 1 GB
Advantages: Durable and Well built. Nice Design.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have any Swiss Army Knife accessories.
...and Apple Macs with no problems. The manufacturers claim that it will work with USB 1.1 ports but it doesn't work with those in my keyboard. The transfer of data is as fast as any other flash drive I have used. The drive comes preloaded with security software to prevent unauthorised access to your data although this only seems to be compatible with Windows machines.
I picked this stick up for £15 which is a bit expensive for the amount of storage but not too bad.
Overall this a decent USB stick that works well and is a more attractive design than most. It feels very durable and well put together. The 1 GB model is large enough for everyday use although there are larger sizes available. Some people may prefer Victorinox's other USB Swiss Army Knives which have the usual knife and accessories in addition to the USB stick. However...

Kingston USB 2GB Flash Drive
Advantages: Speed of small transfers
Disadvantages: No ReadyBoost, feels cheap
...Hi today I will be reviewing a Kingston DataTravler 2GB USB Flash Drive. I bought this a few months ago after losing my other flash drive. It cost me 9.97 from PC World but I believe you can get them cheaper in other places.
Speed
For the data that I transfer to it i.e. pictures and some small visual basic programs it transfers them extremely quick compared to some cheap flash drives I have used in the past.
Problems
So far I have had no major problems other than in windows vista it is not capable of running ReadyBoost which a free flash drive I had a while ago could.
Size
The overall size of the flash drive is quiet good the USB connector slides in and out with a rather flimsy press and slide switch.
Feel
The Kingston feels rather cheap and plastic considering the price I paid for it anyway.
Over all this is not a bad...

Toshiba U3 USB Flash Drive 4Gb
Advantages: U3 support
Disadvantages: Intrusive programme everytime you plug it into a computer
...The Toshiba U3 flash drive provides a versatile way to store your memory. It comes in 4 sizes - 512Mb, 1Gb, 2Gb and 4Gb. It supports U3 and allows the user to install programmes on the USB drive, and then run it on the computer directly.
--- the BASICS ---
The Toshiba U3 flash drive is shaped as a normal USB drive - long and thin. It has a cap to cover the opening of the USB port. The cap is connected to the main part by a small string which comes with the drive. Other than that the drive has no other parts.
The storage provided by the drive shows up as 3.79Gb. This is because 4Gb is actually 4,000,000 bytes. When divided by 1024 twice (into Kb and Mb) it is actually just 3.79Gb. Furthermore even more space is used up - this is illustrated by the fact that when the user plugs into the computer, it shows up as 2 drives - the removable...

Flash Drive - More Than Enough For Day To Day Work
Advantages: Small, Cheap, Easy to Use, Fast, Size - Enough for day to day work
Disadvantages: Chunky
...I originally picked up this USB flash drive for only £10 not too long ago and have been reasonably happy with what I've bought as a whole.
Size (Digitally)
****************
This drive is 2GB's in size making it excellent to carry a descent amount of work around with you no matter where you are or where your going. When putting the USB flash drive into the USB port it is extremely easy to use because this and most flash drives are plug and play devices which allow the device to be inserted and from that moment the user can use the device almost instantly after the system automatically installs it.
Design
*********
This flash drive can come in many other colours besides the colour blue as displayed in the Ciao picture. I also have a black one in the same size for example.
There is a cap or top which is able to be pulled away...

Looks good with its flashing LED
Advantages: Reliable
Disadvantages: Might lose its head
...Due to changes in the way we operate our computers at work it was deemed necessary to supply us with Memory sticks. I was not involved with the choice, myself along with my colleagues were all supplied with these Integral USB 2.0 splash drives with a 512MB capacity. That is over 60 of the little beasties.
For those who do not know what a memory stick is, let me explain. All media (word processors, pictures, videos, presentations etc) can be stored electronically; normally you will save media to the internal hard drive of your computer.
If you want to move media from one computer to another you can email it (provided both computers have internet access), if both computers share an intranet connection (server, once only found in offices these are now more common in homes with broadband and routers) then the media can be shared...

Corsair Flash Voyager USB flash drive - 32 GB
Advantages: large storage and build of quality
Disadvantages: expensive for a flash drive but you get what you pay for
...As a rule I try not to carry my laptop around with me, opting instead to transport files the easy way using USB flash drives, of which I have 3 due to the size of the files I have to load and upload. My first encounter with a flash drives came with the expensive yet disappointing Lexar and over the years I've steadily moved from one to another gradually increasing the memory size as the size of files seems to spiral out of all proportion! I paid just £65.99 for the Corsair Flash Voyager USB flash drive from our IT supplier and with a 32 GB memory I had anticipated it being my final purchase of a flash drive for a considerable period of time.
Opting for a USB flash drive from a company like Corsair meant that I knew I would be getting a product of quality, and the Flash Voyager oozes quality and style. Compact and durable the drive can...
