Small Speakers, Small Sound

Advantages: Small, lightweight, can be used with any mp3 player
Disadvantages: Sound quality isn't great - speakers not very powerful

Well, one of the joys of having a child is you buy them something and then they ask you for accessories, and this was no exception - I needed to get a wall charger separately and she also asked for speakers. Put Your Trust In These Speakers!

Advantages: Audio Quality, Price, Remote Control, Good Bass

Your pc will need a 3.5mm jack which will be there so long as you have sound on your pc - be it integrated with your motherboard or a dedicated soundcard, and obviously you'll need a mains socket free to plug the speakers in? no surprises here then. :-) This is a 2.1 system which basically means that it consists of 2 smaller speakers, and one larger subwoofer. The small speakers are plastic and the subwoofer is wooden. Aesthetically, these speakers do look good in plain black, they are not offending in any way; this also means they don't look ultra fancy but they do the job, which is the reason I bought them. ...I got these speaker is 2004 and they are still going strong. I have taken them on holiday, to school and they are now my computer speakers. They can be used about every where. Amazing peice of kit. ( been half way around the world) Hardley dented at all. Unlike normal computer speakers or portable speakers these include a small amplifier with the volume control and added "bass boost " controls. This is really great as the speakers can be on another shelf and the amplifier can be on your desk so you can control them without moving all the time. -The speakers- The speakers are really great quality and can deliver a vast range of tones easily. These speakers came in a rather blank box, with HP written on it, they came nicely packed with a lovely and very easy to use instruction booklet. They looked very professional and they are a nice grey/silver colour with a tint of blue, you plug these into the back of your monitor and they run off the monitors power input which is very useful, they do not have a power cable themself because they use the monitors cable for power, meaning theres a saving of plugs when it comes to your two point plug way! The speakers are prevented in dark blue plastic, with a silver/grey with "Hewlett-Packard" on the front, with the soft cotton above covering the speakers themself, tinted at the top with a silver/grey strip.
