Celeron II - A gone wrong PIII
Advantages: Pretty fast, PIII core
Disadvantages: Not cheap in budget terms
...The bosses at Intel have finally decided that they cant waste any processors any more. Its takes too much money and time in the industry to manufacture too many chips because they dont have many fabrication plants to do the job. Basically they had to find a way to make lots of different chips very quickly.
Well here's the clever part. The Celeron II (not official name) is simply a PIII, well I say simply a PIII but that's what they are. Only difference is they are faulty PIII's. Not faulty as in they don't work, but faulty as in half of the 256k cache doesn't work. All Intel have done to these chips is disable the bad half of the cache and there you have a shiny new Celeron II. Not bad eh?
Needless to say that then the Celeron II has a good leg to stand on as a budget chip. The core performance of the PIII is there in...

Celeron Or PIII
Advantages: Cheap,reliable
Disadvantages: not for graphics, or design application
...If you want to to build a low-cost but reliable system, the Intel Celeron chip is always the chip I consider using in comparison with all the other chip like AMD or etc . The celeron is fast enough to watch DVD from the computer write application have multiboot system. Play games etc. From the other hand if you using graphics packages or design programm don't go for celeron Dot think about the money buy a PIII which is more fast in this kind of application.
But ofcourse is much more expensive. I can also recomend overclocking the celeron which is safe, Intel know about they first use to overclocking the DX2 33 to 66Mz. But however the decision is yours....

Celeron 533mhz - not recomended
Advantages: Cheap processor
Disadvantages: Slow, small cache,
...I have mixed experiences with these processors, In comparison to AMD's chips, Im afraid Celeron processors do not compare.
My AMD K6-2/450 which worked without fault, was sold and replaced with a Celeron 533Mhz which at the time was of similar cost. Celeron processors were at the time rated quite highly however in comparison to AMD's 450, Graphical benchmarks, Gameplay, High Quality Video files, processor benchmarks all showed a great deal of a decrease in performance with the celeron.
The Celeron runs on a 66mhz bus speed which greatly reduces performance in comparison to processors running at 100mhz bus.
Celeron processors are known for thier ability to be overclocked which can greatly improve performance however this greatly dependant on which mainboard you choose.
Increasing the Memory from 64mb to 128mb made...

Celeron 600e = 9.0x Multiplier
Advantages: Very Overclockable
Disadvantages: Small cahce
...A 9.0x multiplier is about as far as you can go with a Celeron to acheive the much respected 100Mhz FSB and therefore acheive 900Mhz in the case of the Celeron 2 600e.
DO NOT BUY A CELERON 2 633, 667 OR 700 IF YOU WANT TO OVERCLOCK THEM 100MHZ FSB. Their multipliers are too high unless you are going to liquid cool them!!!
It has to be said that the 0.18 micron die etch has been a god send for overclocking but when the multiplier starts to get silly, atainable overclocking on a locked bus is crazy, hence my suggested max of a Celeron 600e if you're thinking of clocking your new Celeron....

Celeron D 2.53ghz
Advantages: Cheap, works well, does 64 bit proccesing.
Disadvantages: No frills, slow performance
...The celeron D is a pretty hard call. The rating it deserves depends on what you want it for. It does its job as a budget processor very well but if you are looking for a good performer this is no way the one for you. Lets look at the specs.
procesor number- 326
archutecture- 90nm
cache- 256kb L2
clock speed- 2.53ghz
front side bus- 533mghz
intel emt 64 bit- yes
excecute disable bit- yes
These arn't very large even if you just comapre them to a pentium 4. For its price however they are understandable.
Performance- is reansonable with basic applications word ect and runs very well. Video encoding is slow in comparison to more expensive procesors. It does run the latest games but as you move up to high resolutions and turn up to high quality framerates plummet and games start to go slightly joggoly at time...

Killing Intel Celeron
Advantages: Cheap, what else that people want
Disadvantages: Not easy to overclock
...I'm using Duron Processor 800 MHz at home and I really like to share my experience in using this processor.
As you all know that AMD is always behind the giant INTEL, either in technology or in marketing. But now, especially here in Indonesia AMD has become stronger and stronger because as you all know it's CHEAP and better performance than INTEL in the same speed.
Duron is the same processor as Athlon but with less transistor and less cache L2, but if you see in CHIP magazine anywhere in the world or in http://www.tomshardware.com, Duron only slower 10% than Athlon and 20% ahead Celeron II and evenly match with Pentium III.
Prize ??, You tell me :-)
Speed ??, very fast as long as you don't compare Duron and Celeron in different speed.
Compatible ??, well it doesn't matter anymore, because now there is a lot of software...

A little dated - but still reliable
Advantages: Proven track record.
Disadvantages: A little dated.
...The Celeron does not have the brand name punch that the Pentium does, but, none the less, it a solid and reliable chip. It doesn?t have any problems with floating point division either!
This chip is getting a little dated now and I wouldn?t advice anyone to buy a brand new machine that has one, or even two, of these chips.
If, however, you are looking at a second hand personal computer or you are looking at buying a number of computers suitable for, say, all the secretaries in the office then the Celeron could be just the chip you need. This is a reliable little device and will bring with it that ?Intel Inside? sticker - that might not wash any more with members of the Information Technology staff but it could very well keep the boss upstairs happy.
The standard Celeron clocks at around 350+ Mhz range, so when we?re looking...

THE INTEL PROCESSOR.
Advantages: HAS FAST PROCESSING ABILITIES.
Disadvantages: : THE FAN CAUSES NOISE.
...The Intel processor has made me to see many reasons to update my PC with It. The Intel processor since I installed it has been serving me very well. My most likes on it is that it is very fast in processing and that has paved way for my pc to perform many things like in the case of playing games with my pc and the rest of them.
The processor is quite easy to install so when it comes to that, there is no problem in doing that but to achieve a reliable goal on installation, you must have to read the instruction manual very well for the manufacturers brief description on the product.
The installation of this processor has given my pc a very good processing speed and abilities.
I got this because this was the best processor I could afford to buy at that moment. Well I look forward on buying another advanced make of the Intel...

Intel Desktop Board D845GVSR
Advantages: Easy to use and very fast
Disadvantages: none
...This is my first mother board I have work .This mother board is top mother board Intel have made. This the most used mother board all over the world. If any one want the PC for internet and for entertainment then every one will go for this.I used this mother board for 4 years there is no problem with the mother board.
This mother board is made to support support the Intel Celeron processor in the mPGA478-pin package and If we come to the features of this mother board we have two slot for RAM and the bus speed of this mother board is 333 MHz FBS.according to Intel the 845 Mother board can support up to 2GB RAM but in my experience it can support up 1GB to 1.5GB of RAM and we also have six USB 2.0 slots four in rear ports and two front-panel USB 2.0 ports.
If we come to the graphics this chipset featuring Intel...

THE INTEL PROCESSOR.
Advantages: VERY HIGH SPEED IN PROCESSING
Disadvantages: : MAKES NOISE.
...I got this just for two reasons; the number one reason is that my other Intel seems to be outdated and the number two reasons is that I wanted a more advanced and faster processor for my PC gaming so I had to buy this for these reasons. The processor comes in an orange packed colour with blue stripe at the edge of the pack and also with an instruction, heat stick and fan for cooling down the temperature.
The processor makes it outright for easy installation and application so no problem when it comes to installations and ease of use.
The Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHZ socket 775 CPU has hyper technology and I think that was the best processor computer product I could find in the market and I decided to buy it after a long battle between Intel and athlon processor on which one to buy. The Intel processors that I have been using have been...
