THINK REALLY
Review of Lenovo ThinkCentre A55 9265 - Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz by  packerlist

Advantages: very good processor with unique vast features.
Disadvantages: the flat screen looks too fragile.

...Well I have to come with the review of PC computer. Lenevo think center is a brand of computer that never made waves in the computer market. But I decided to give it a try by buying it and wanted to get rid of the popular dell, IBM and apple computers for some time. Well the lenovo think center computer has proved to be a bit different. Some features actually made me to purchase the product and are features like the administrator password, power on password, booting without mouse and key board, hard drive I/O control, usb control, serial port I/O control, boss Sequence control and diskette I/O control. These are the features that really made me to splash at about £250.60 on it. The lenovo thinkcentre A55 9265 Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz computer has host of unique think vantage technologies at competitive price. The processor type... Read review

Extremely Over Priced PC
Review of Lenovo ThinkCentre A55 9265 - Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz by  saraharcher

Advantages: The case dosn't look too bad
Disadvantages: Addequate but outdated CPU

...My review of this PC is from a slightly different perspective. I have purchased this as a second PC. The slightly different perspective is in the fact that I purchased this second hand, although it is only three weeks old. A friend of mine purchased the PC new for £400 and found himself very disappointed with his choice. Having more money than sense, he sold me the PC for an extremely knocked down price of £250. For the price original price of £400 paid I can quite understand his disappointment and the reasons for which I will outline further. I will start with the CPU or better know as the processor. The A55 9265 is fitted with an Intel Pentium 4 - 541. Whilst this is not a bad CPU in its own right, it is far from being up to date by other manufactures standards. Rated at 2.8Ghz, the standard for most even those price significantly... Read review

Compaq SR2125UK
Review of Compaq Presario Media Center SR2125UK - Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz by  matt_nichols

Advantages: Very Upgradable, Cheaply Priced, Very Reliable.
Disadvantages: The nVidia 7500LE is by no means an efficent card, No front case fan.

...I have found the Compaq SR2125UK a very powerful machine, I bought it as a secondary machine from PCWorld back in May 2007. When I first bought it I didn't realise it's full potential of what it's very upgradable motherboard can have. It's processor which comes shipped with it is an Intel Pentium D 915 which is around one of the first Dual Core processors around and is now starting to age a little, but this machine will happily take any Intel Core 2 Duo's. It'll also take up to 4GB of PC5300 DDR2 RAM and any PCIe x16 graphic card (with a PSU upgrade). So onto my first experience with this Compaq, after it had been delivered in a massive 4x4x4 foot box I was at first a little dissapointed to find a Micro ATX tower (smaller size computer) as alot of these towers which I've had experiences with have had cooling problems. So now all... Read review

What a mobo!
Review of Intel Desktop Board D865PERL - motherboard - ATX - i865PE by  fatmatt06

Advantages: good quality on-board sound, good software
Disadvantages: some socket positioning design errors

...This is the intel D865PERL motherboard, I purchased one for £125 from ebuyer.co.uk. Packaging The moterboard comes in a box designed with intel colours (blue and orange) with a picture of the board on the front. On the back of the box is another picture of the board but this one is labelled with all of its features. The board came in an anti-static bag which was sitting on a thin layer of foam inside the box. Also included in the box is a metal faceplate which is quite strong compared to a lot of others, 2 IDE cables, 1 Floppy drive cable and a SATA150 cable. Features Five PCI slots - Even though i have used up all of these slots i think this is a sufficient ammount for most users. AGP 8X graphics card slot - The clip on this slot is different to most but still very easy to use Flexible 6 channel audio with jack sensing... Read review

E600 Scenic
Review of Fujitsu Siemens SCENIC E600 - P4 2.8 GHz by  1988mike1988

Advantages: Very fast and reliable
Disadvantages: 40GB of memory

...as a gaming machine but boost up the RAM and it will be perfect. The BIGGEST disadvantage (fujisu should be ashamed, but they probably thought it would be connected to a server but who knows) only 40GB of memory... actually less since windows takes up about 3GB same with linux. Best way to solve this problem is to use an external hard drive Specifications. A great server for starters.
Review of ASUS Intel 820 Chipset P3C2000 - motherboard - ATX - i820 by  andycharger

Advantages: Good server board
Disadvantages: Low amount of expandable memory slots

...Motherboards are expensive pieces of kit to buy nowadays compared to other components. Particularly when you consider the plummeting prices of other products on the market such as CD Writers, monitors and RAM. But when you are building a server to comply with the needs of a small office or gaming network at home, there really is only one choice. I have built 4 servers now with this motherboard, the Asustek FCPGA Intel 815e ATX V S L. The reasons for this I will explain. Servers work best with plenty of RAM, plenty of processor power and loads of disk space. Whereas the Motherboard does not provide any of these directly, it does provide a `meeting place` for all of this raw power to come together. For this, a motherboard needs to provide enough sockets and fittings to install all relevant components. This board has the lot. Firstly... Read review

Intel's E6600 processor from HEAVEN!
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 processor by  ichkeria

Advantages: Relatively economical, Extreme performance, Extreme Overclockability, Low temperatures/Power usage
Disadvantages: Not any!!

...One word, awesome. That's the only way I can think to describe this processor to you. The performance that you get with this CPU is astounding, destroying my petty benchmarks. With very little effort I was able to overclock it to far faster speeds than the top of the line Conroe processors, and this only on air! Bottom line is, if you want performance that will knock you sideways and overclocks that will make the tuner in all of us stand up and take notice then this is the CPU for you. If you buy the more budget E6300 or E6400 you will be sacrificing not only clock speed but 2mb of level 2 cache. So if you want a processor that will give you the performance of some of the more expensive chips with just a little tweaking this is the one for you. Up to 40 percent faster than previous generation desktop processors the Intel Core 2 Duo... Read review

I do Mother my board, really ☺
Review of Intel Desktop Board D865GBFLK - motherboard - ATX - i865G by  Tortenmann

Advantages: very fast processor support, hyper theading technology, everything to do with it.
Disadvantages: some limited support for older hardware and even software in some cases

...in the end. ♦Why did I need this and what persuaded me to buy it ♦ Well, as I have said before in my other reviews, I do a lot of image, video and audio editing, so I need the speed and reliability that my old motherboard did not have, so I looked for this one instead. I needed something that was going to be able to handle large data, and be able to handle it at very fast speeds as well. I really was starting to get annoyed with my old motherboard, it was slow, unreliable, didn’t support the newest hardware and most of all, didn’t support my graphics card, which, after all , was the most important thing. As I said above, I needed to change very quickly as I had brought loads of new hardware, and I needed something to support it all, so I went for this little marvel, the Intel Desktop Board D865GBFLK, I was very happy about...
