E2180 pentium dual core CPU

Advantages: Cheap, Powerfull
Disadvantages: Small L2 cache

...This is brilliant processor for its small price. In fact i like it so much, im writing this review using it right now. It is really easily over clocked using the right mother board. Personally, i have overclocked to 2.5Ghz using a cheap Gigabyte motherboard and an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro heat-sink fan unit. I have found that it is brilliant for multi-tasking. Even the programs that heavily use CPU power are done with ease on this powerful little processor, all down to its 2 cores. As for heat, obviously depending on case cooling and heat-sink fan, its not too bad. In my computer i have 3 additional 80cm fans for cooling as well as the heat-sink fan and im peaking at 45 degrees Celsius. The only disadvantage i can see with the CPU would be the L2 cache size. At only 1GB its not as fast as the Core 2 Duo CPU's but at this price its...

Intel Pentium D E5200 Overclockers budget king and luck tester

Advantages: fast and cheap
Disadvantages: low L2 cache and overclocking relies on luck

...The Intel E5200 is a tricky CPU. when overclocking its very unpredictible on how high a clock and how stable you can get it. this chip was taken from the bad end. You have a 50/50 chance of having an overclocking catalyst or a stability wreck. if you want to get great performance for your money though this should do the job nicely it makes an easy 2.7-2.8Ghz overclock. I managed to push mine to 3Ghz an unknowingly damaging it. so if you are an overclocker with this CPU be very careful and run frequent test to male sure you are completely stable because this CPU can go from fly to fry in the slightest adjustment. a safe mark I would say is 2.8Ghz. go to 3Ghz if you have the appropriate cooling and go beyond that if you feel lucky and have amazing cooling but once again be very cautious. this CPU is a bit of a power eater too so try to...

Best Value Processor On The Market

Advantages: Value for money, Performance, Easy to install

... Performance I thought that it would be best to talk out the performance of the processor first since this is what everybody is looking for with games and application becoming more demanding. The performance of the E2160 out of the box is quite slow at only 1.8GHz but this is where the beauty of this processor comes in, it is highly overclockable, I have mine running at 3.2ghz and it doesn't go above 60 degrees C. The small 1MB L2 Cache does let it down slightly compared to some of the more expensive reviews but this CPU has amazing performance for its price. Price For its price this CPU is outstanding, I got mine for just under £50 and 3.2ghz from a £50 processor is just brilliant in my opinion, even some of the more expensive processors don't get these sort of speeds.
