Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi
Advantages: fully equipped and comfortable
Disadvantages: expensive
...I can safely say this is the best hotel I have stayed in to date. Being delayed on a flight back to the UK does not put you in the best of moods but being put up here can certainly brighten your day.
It's safe to say my view may be slightly biased in that i did not have to pay as the airline is obliged to put me up, but that does not change the fact that it is a fantastic hotel. Any place that serves free drinks on welcome to people who are not even paying must have a pretty good degree of class.
But onto the review, the first impressions are very good. the lobby is clean and well designed to give i sense of open space and a welcoming atmosphere with the bar situated openly to the left and seating to the right. The staff at reception are extremely helpful and were quickly able to assign me a room and direct me there.
The rooms are...

Athenaeum Luxury at the InterContinental
Advantages: Helpful staff, lovely bedrooms, mini-bus service into the centre
Disadvantages: Not much in the local area, expensive, facilities not the best
...I?ve had the pleasure of staying here on two occasions recently, both two night stays, both for work purposes so of course I wasn't paying for the room!
First impressions:
The lobby is very wide and atrium style. As you walk across the marble floor there is a weird blue statue of a man and on your right escalators going downstairs. There are also a vast number of chairs and tables. To the left is the spa and a couple of boutique type stores. It does look more like the foyer of a prestigious office tower rather than a hotel though. It's a very large hotel with over five hundred guest bedrooms over nine floors.
Checking In:
On both occasions it was very easy to check in and out again, the receptionists were all efficient, helpful and spoke excellent English. The reception area was also very well staffed with four staff members around...

Best HOTEL in Cannes - Carlton Intercontinental
Advantages: This is one amazing hotel with everything you want in one of the greatest cities of France
Disadvantages: pretty much non-affordable for normal folks
...In september 2000 I was invited to the presentation of OPEL´s new car called Corsa. I was surprised that they did this presentation not in germany, but in Cannes, France. Furthermore I was really happy to see which hotel OPEL booked for the 3 day stay of their exclusive customers: The world famous Carlton Intercontinental Hotel at Cannes...
Famous, some of you might ask and I say yes, famous it is. Most of you know that european film festival every year at Cannes. That hotel there is that historic building in which all the major actors, directors and plenty of wannabe´s are staying.
The building itself is under a historic building law in france and so to uphold business in there the owners have to spent lots of money quite frequently to rebuild the beautiful historic outside of the hotel.
It has 7 floors and on ground level...

Excellent Hotel restored my faith in Egypt
Advantages: Staff were great
Disadvantages: none really
...Gardens is right next door and looks more estabilshed so if its cheaper stay there as you can use both hotels so save some cash.
Highly recc trip to Hurghada Marina we got a minibus for 60epds (approx 8pds) return. Very classy and no hassle lovely to relax and watch the boats mooring we ate in the large Indian and food is 5*.
Also booked snorkle trip to Paradise Island which was OK - heard one family paid £13 each and I had paid £30 booking online at home so maybe worth a trip to Hurghada to get £13 if family !! (£50 TC)
Been to Luxor 10 yrs ago on Nile Cruise and a week in Luxor which was great and authentic, nothing prepared me for Sharm in xmas 2007 swore Id never go to Egypt again as I really disliked it especially Nama Bay , but our friends insisted on a easy Egypt and we picked Hurghada- good choice.
So pleased we did as...

Do you lead an Intercontinental life? IC Park Lane London
Advantages: Great location. Excellent value for London. Brilliant service. Luxurious rooms!
Disadvantages: Still expensive as it's London!
...So now that many of you will now have read one of my Asian hotel reviews I thought it was about time to write about some luxury closer to home. Something more of you can get to easier should my reviews be powerful enough to sway your decision!
London has one of the largest selection of hotels in the world and choosing one is certainly very hit and miss. The so called luxury hotels in London can be just that or they can be very poor. Having experienced excellent service and properties in the Far East it was difficult to find a property to rival any of these closer to home until I discovered the Intercontinental Park Lane.
After staying in a variety of different properties I finally discovered the IC and plumped up for a stay here. Since then I have not been to another hotel in the capital. It really has ticked all my boxes which is no...

Fantastic Hotel Shame About Sharm And Booze!
Advantages: Great staff, Great food, Great surroundings
Disadvantages: The drink, not much to see if you don't dive or snorkel
...We stayed here for two weeks all-inclusive at christmas and new year 2006/2007, we being my wife and I, and we picked it as it had very good reviews on trip advisor and was very reasonably priced.
Sharm El Sheikh
Sharm is a man made resort on the red sea coast and is basically just one straight road in the desert, running parrallel with the coast, with the airport in the middle and then many hotels either side of it. The hotels themselves are more like mini resorts than just hotels, and are either on the sea side of the road with sea frontage or the desert side with none but access to a beach over the road. Many of the hotels have more than one pool and some have fun pools with slides and water falls etc., they also have other things going on like zoo's, casinos, shopping centres etc.. They all seem to have multiple...

Tropicana Amarante Garden Palms Hotel, Sharm Egypt
Advantages: Great food, clean and friendly.
Disadvantages: No beach, lost sister Hotel Grand Oasis, the 5.30am sunbed securing
...Just returned from this hotel, very nice clean friendly hotel with a fantastic restaurant, but my only gripe is that the hotel is no longer part of the 'Tropicana' group and as such the deal is off as far as using the 'Tropicana Grand Oasis' facilities and beach! It's now owned by 'Amarante'
This makes a huge crimp in your stay firstly as a beach user or snorkeller as Garden Palms has no beach and the bus service run by the hotel now takes you to a local public beach about 20 mins away, as you can imagine the beach is crammed full, so it is difficult to get shade when you need it and it's not particularly clean, second problem that arises from the 'no beach' situation is that if you want to sit around the pool a bed needs to be secured with your towel by 6am, this is made a problem by not enough beds for everyone and no-where else to...

Intercontinental Title
Advantages: Design
Disadvantages: Price
...WWE Intercontinetal Championship Belt Review
The Intercontinental title is one step behind the WWE title, the Wrestlers who wear this title are mostly on their way to the top of the buisness. The belt has a great history with the likes of The Rock,Triple H,Brock Lesnar and Stone Cold Steve Austin holding the title in the past.
As you can see Ciao does not have a picture of the title above you can find a picture on Google Images by typing up WWE Vivid Imaginations Intercontinental Championship.
The belt is made from plastic just like all the other Vivid Imaginations WWE titles. The rubber has a strong smell to it,the look of the title is realistic to real life with the globe in the middle of it.
The price for this Vivid Imaginations Intercontinental title is 10.99 at most retailers.Woolworths and Argos would be a good place to...

THE WWE TITLE NOT INTERCONTINENTAL
Advantages: Good Design and Great Look
Disadvantages: Price
...WWE Championship Belt Review
Quick Note
To everyone reading this as you can note on my title i have the WWE Championship Belt this is because Ciao have got a mistake up on their review title for this one. This is not the Intercontinental Title its the WWE championship title.Ciao have a made a mistake on this and this infact is the WWE Title which you see on the RAW brand of the WWE.
The WWE Title Info
The WWE had a normal WWE title nothing fancy nothing that has flashyness on it,Just a normal WWE title which was to say a bit dull looking and needed to freshen up.Well the WWE title had a change when John Cena in 2005 Wrestlemania 21 beat John Bradshaw Layfield.Cena then got rid of the old WWE title and turned this into a more flashy title. You would have thought once Cena would lose the belt the design would change the title...

Exciting Egypt!!
Advantages: cheap, only 5 hours away, amazing weather, amazing sites!
Disadvantages: heat (for some may be disadvantage), annoying hagglers
..., including the Hard Rock Cafe and there are lots of shops and market stalls to look at. Just beware this is Hagglers Row, it will take you a long time to get through all the stall holders so beware!! For the younger generation, or the older of course (!) there is Pacha so get your dancing shoes on!!
Our main experience whilst in Egypt was the pyramids in Cairo! What an amazing sight and a MUST if you are contemplating a trip to Egypt!
We booked ours through a seperate company at our hotel but can also be booked through your tour operator - however we did discover from our group on the trip that we had all paid quite different prices for the trip so its probably a good idea to shop around before you make your final decision. We ended up paying around £300 for the whole trip.
We opted for the short 40min flight over to Cairo; you can take...
