My uncle recommended that I tried Internet banking because you can do so much with it and I thought that I would give it a try. There are many features that the site has to offer. You can order booklets to help you with your banking and you can register to fully use the site. Worst Internet Banking Site Ever!

Advantages: Does the job, Free antivirus, Secure with PINSentry
Disadvantages: Only 1 month worth of statements is accessible, PINSentry, Not user friendly to do some things

...something that most people will have no problems with, I can imagine that people whom have bad eyesight or are visually impaired (i.e. red-green colour blinded individuals, in particular) would have great difficulty reading those. Hovering over those links simply underlines them and doesn't change colour so that would not help those who have difficulty reading those links. I'm sure good website design guidelines state you're supposed to use dark text over light backgrounds and to not use such light colours on white backgrounds. All other links are either dark blue or light blue throughout the site though, so do follow the site colour scheme. Natwest Internet Banking

Advantages: Convenient and easy to use

...I have been a customer of Natwest for around 13 years and their Internet Banking is great. I have been doing all of my banking through the internet for the last year or so and the account is very easy to set up and doesn't take long, so is quite quick. It is easy to use and transferring money between current accounts and savings/ISAs etc on the same day is very convenient. When transferring between accounts your account is immediately updated, so you don't have to wait days for the correct balance to be shown. Also, if you happen to have a Personal Loan with Natwest, your balance has now been added as a feature to online banking, so easy to keep a track on your payments and remaining balance. Advantages: clear organisation of site instruction
Disadvantages: Time allocation for transactions and poor layout of the local RSB Branch

...I have been with the bank a few years but since 2001, it was suggested to me, that the internet banking service would assist me greatly, given that my various medical problems restrict visits to the bank. These visits are restricted due to the layout of the Denton Branch in Greater Manchester. There is no hand rail to assist access to the building, when in the banking hall, seating is sparce if there are a number of people in the queue and you are lucky enough to get a chair, you have to arrange with the person nearerst to you. However, the customer hall is much smaller than the more than adequate floor space for all the banking staff in their banking hall. Lets hope in attempting to redress potential discrimination for those customers with disabilities they will find an improvement, I shall not then be a customer thankfully...

...I have been a customer of the HSBC (formerly Midland) for some time and recently signed up for their internet banking scheme. I find their site cumbersome and slow, so much so that I have reverted to the telephone to carry out my transactions. HSBC were slow in offering an on-line banking service and one would have thought that they would have managed to get it right- too date I am not impressed. I am assuming things will improve and will persevere. In comparison to other on-line finacial sites including credit card companies which I access on a regular basis this is a poor service....

...I have recently started to use internet banking with HSBC! Having had my first baby I havn't the time to go to town just to transfer money and to check my statements! My partner suggested I try it and I am glad I did! The website itself is full of information on loans, credit cards bank accounts, mortgages, insurances etc! ...Internet Banking is certainly a step forward from queuing up in branches and I am one of those people who has accessed it wholeheartedly. In fact I have a number of bank accounts, savings accounts and credit cards with various different online and high street banks.
