Advantages: Provides basic tools for anti virus, easy to install
Disadvantages: none really, just prefer AVG.

...As a university student we have to pay a rediculously high amount for tuition fee's so the college I am doing my foundation degree in offers free laptops for the duration of the course. The laptop comes fully equipped with Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and it really does the job. Most anti virus software is available for free with the opportunity to upgrade however it is worth it from a business perspective, to buy something like this. ...Norton Internet Security came with part of my Norton Anti-virus package, unfortunately, I wasted my money: The norton package was a complete faliure as protection, my computer got numourus viruses and popups of pornography. The apparant internet security let through a hacker that somehow removed all of my data, causing me to re-install my operating platform. The amount of space Norton took up on my computer was extremely robust, and the files often got currupted when i recived a virus (not particularly helpful as an anti-virus). After a month of the space-taking-see-through-firewall, i decided to browse for a knew anti-virus, and i found meny annonoymous packages for 1/2 the price, with no bad reviews on the product (Like mine). Panda Internet Security 2007 - Not Good

Advantages: Easy-to-use, clear interface
Disadvantages: Bug-ridden, poor detection rates, Vista incompatibility

...I recently bought a PC and requested that Panda Internet Security 2007 and Panda Antivirus + Firewall 2007 come bundled with it. I did not realise at the time that the latter product superseded the former. I had problems installing the products anyway - the versions that came bundled with the computer were not Vista-compatible and as my PC's OS was Vista, they would not install. I contacted my PC supplier, as really they should have seen better than to bundle incompatible software, and they suggested I contact Panda directly, so I did, and downloaded and registered Panda Antivirus + Firewall 2007 from Panda's website.
