...on my system to ensure I was not a at fault (Bloody Cheek). Checks all OK at my end, they now say it may cost me £140 to get BT to check the line and I must agree to this before they will contact BT to do the check. They refer to clause 2.7 in their terms but there is no 2.7 in the terms they sent me to look at. This company is a complete and utter shambles, it takes 3 days for them to answer emails and they try to charge for anything that you change, saying it constitutes a new contract. If you want to keep your sanity, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, IT'S OK WHEN IT'S RUNNING BUT IF IT GOES WRONG, RUN FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD.I have kept all the emails to prove this is the case....

Fingers crossed for FREE INTERNET!

Disadvantages: Might have done the same as other internet companies and not anticipated the demand for such a service

...AOL have announced today that they are offering a new flat-rate service to their longest-standing members - £14.99 a month and unmetered calls - so no extra charges! This will save me a considerable amount of money - if the access is good, and AOL don't overreach themselves with the amount of people they allow to use the service to begin with. When I moved over to 0800 access (no phonebill charges, but 1p a minute to AOL) the connection was appalling to say the least, I got booted more often than I care to remember, and it was so slow! I have been an AOL member for long enough to benefit from this deal - I only hope that it doesn't go the way of Altavista et al... Watch this space :o)...

I was a little surprised as to the area that it was in, but hey ho that is Ciao for you as they put it there supposedly! But anyway, back to the subject in mind. How do I use the library service? Well, you have to actually be a member in order to use pretty much any of the facilities that are on offer. It is usually free to join, but there are usually stipulations that you must agree to meet prior to joining: 1. That you are a permanent resident in the area that provides the service. If you live in Devon or Cornwall, then you can't use the service in Avon or Somerset. Kaspersky Internet Security - average protection

Advantages: Provides basic tools for anti virus, easy to install
Disadvantages: none really, just prefer AVG.

The laptop comes fully equipped with Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and it really does the job. Most anti virus software is available for free with the opportunity to upgrade however it is worth it from a business perspective, to buy something like this. Advantages: very easy to install, three packages to choose from.
Disadvantages: You get disconnected after every two hours.

The cheapest courier service on the Internet!

...I have been using Interparcel for many years now and in my opinion find them to be reliable and very competive with their rates. I have never had any problems with any of their services and would recommend them highly. Interparcel.com has a very easy to use website and recieving a quote is very straightforward. I like a company that makes my life easier and with this company you can even print your own packaging labels! Another nice fact is that with Interparcel you get to speak to a REAL person instead of a machine. Often i have booked services with Interparcel and very shortly after the booking has been made a courier has been around to collect the parcel. You also get a tracking number so that you can always see where your parcel is using the couriers website. I have always had my parcels delivered on time and without a problem...
