...OK I know – I work for a bank but still fall for the spiel. At the American Express (Amex ) Silverstone International Raceday on 16th September 2000 I got so fed up with the Amex girls’ patter that to shut them up – I signed up - for an Amex Blue Credit Card. My previous links to Amex had been with a NatWest Amex Card, which has now been discontinued. I have no problems with having a credit card it’s just that I had not heard too many positive things about Amex and it had put me off. But anyway I applied and was accepted, and despite the long wait for the issue of the card (two months), which I put down to the fact so many BTCC fans must have been harassed, I have been happy enough - but not ecstatic. Review of American Express Blue

Breaking into the Blues....

Advantages: Some great guitar work from Peter Green, introduced to a new genre of music
Disadvantages: The odd weak track, some over generic sounds.

Mayall doesn?t just play the guitar, he is also a pianist and plays the harmonica and in 2005 was given an OBE, the other piece of important info I found, was that he used to live in a Tree House in his Mum?s garden? The Hard Road Released in 1969, at this point, Clapton had left, and the band was now John Mayall (guitar / vocals / piano), Peter Green (lead guitar), John McVie (bass) and Aysnsley Dunbar (drums). A Hard Road Starting off we blend into something typically blues, it is exactly what I expected from the genre (tune wise). There is a strong drum beat, and guitars and piano mixed in the background, and the vocals have that long sound to them. On my first few listenings, this song doesn?t present anything special, it sounds like a rather typical, average blues song...

Can you resist temptation?

Advantages: Hot cast
Disadvantages: Weak story line

.... The group then has to fight off the owner of the drugs and keep their treasure secret. Watch to find out how the group of friends try to fight temptation but give in due to greed. I enjoyed watching the movie, only wish I could hold my breath as long as they do. Although it does not have a strong story line, the movie is still enjoyable to watch. Watch the different ways they dive into the blue, and what they do when they run into trouble. You are also able to see what The Bahamas is like without going there (After watching the movie I want to go there even more). What I liked most about the movie was the diving scenes and the free diving. It is amazing to see what people are able to do, with and without the right equipment. See the sea, stare at the bodies!

Advantages: Fun, lovely scenery, interesting idea
Disadvantages: Acting, script and dialogue

...Can you really hate a film that is full of sun, sand, sea and sexy bodies in swimwear in these cold dark winter nights? Nope I don't think so and Into The Blue is full of all four of those S's, as the trailer neatly highlights. For the women to gaze at there is Paul Walker (Fast and The Furious) & Scott Caan (Ocean's Eleven) and for the men there is Jessica Alba (Fantastic Four) and Ashley Scott (Birds of Prey TV series) Alba is Sam and Walker plays Jared, two sun lovers working and living in the Bahamas. She is a shark trainer, or at least works with them, and he is a tourist diver. Taking tourists out into the ocean and teaching them the basics of diving. They would love to find one of the many long lost treasure wrecks buried beneath the sea and sand around the islands and make enough money to not 'live by the clock' as Jared...

Most Frustratingly Attractive Couple in a Film.

Advantages: Fun, Adventure, Cute Fish and an Even Cuter Male Lead.
Disadvantages: Drags a Bit.

...Into the Blue came out at the cinemas and as usual I really wanted to go and see it (as I do with every new film that ever comes out) and as usual everybody around me started saying that it looked rubbish and they wouldn't come. So as usual when it comes to films I had to wait until I could see it on video which I did finally last night. As you can see from my rating of four stars I thought it was quite good but there was definitely room for improvement which hopefully my review will get across to you. ----- The Film: The film opens up on some fantastic scenery of sea and beaches and immediately you are thinking I want to go and live there. Some of the first scenes feature scuba diving with some wonderful colourful fish and shows people having fun. The teacher of the scuba diving class is Jared and he is a very good looking guy...

Bimbos and Himbos

Advantages: Nice underwater photography
Disadvantages: Poor performances, a lack of depth and dodgy script

...stand up to scrutiny. "Into the Blue" is a bottom-shelf DVD pot-boiler that attempts to coast through on the looks and charm of its' nubile stars. Sadly when one of those stars is Paul Walker, you're onto a loser. If all you want is a hackneyed, nonsensical actioner in the vein of many a 1980s' exploitative action movie that allows you to gawp at scantily clad young ladies, this could be right up your street. If however you're looking for something with greater depth than the conveniently placed wrecks that feature in the movie, then look elsewhere; there's certainly not enough here to sustain the near two-hour running time. Much like Jessica Alba's pneumatic charms, it's all been seen before....

Shark-infested waters

Advantages: Visually stunning, reasonable plot

...When treasure hunters Sam and Jared, and their friends Amanda and Bryce uncover a possible wreck and hidden treasure, in the Bahamas, they are delighted. Even better, they discover a submerged plane nearby, packed full of drugs. Thinking they have made their fortunes, they agree to share the profits, although Sam and Jared are less than keen on the drug side of the bargain. Then Amanda and Bryce taken matters into their own hands by negotiating with a dangerous drug lord. But once the drug lord and his men know where the drugs are, all four are in danger of losing their lives. Will they be able to stay long enough to uncover the hidden treasure? Or have they bitten off more than they can chew? Jessica Alba is probably the draw that attracts most people to this film. She spends a lot of time in skimpy bikinis and does look absolutely...

...This next review is on my time on The Blue Mountains National Park, located in Sydney Australia. A few friends and I had decided to hire a van and take a tour of the national park, as we had been recommended it by several people we had met along the way. I am usually a fan of national parks; it gives you a chance to take in the scenic view, it gives you a chance to relax and unwind if you have had a busy week, and you even get to see some wildlife. It?s a great experience, which allows you to camp overnight, whilst also have a magnificent driving experience. History & Park Info: The park covers 267,954 hectares, which included several mountains and rivers along the trek. The highest point of the park is Mount Werong (1,215 m), and there are some breathtaking views from the top. The area became a national park in 1932, and ever since...

...Right, firstly I want to let you all know this a review of the DVD version of the film after having seen "The Making Of" and the deleted scenes. I don't know if this or Fantastic 4 was made first but whichever was made first, the director obviously saw Jessica Alba in a tight outfit and thought "I can use that in my movie" Jessica Alba does look pretty but she also looks about 13 years old. Paul Walker is a new face to me and I've never seen him in anything before this, Scott Caan I assume is James (Rollerball) Caan's son? Ashley Scott is also very pretty and plays her part well and you know she's going to be the weak link in the chain of close friends as the girl he's known for only 14 hours. Take the films The Deep, Jaws & Deep Blue Sea and combine them all with The Bahama's, Drugs, Treasure and Betrayal. The cute looking guy...
