Just think of all of the things you can do with a compact computer at the palm of your hands. Write documents and notes when you need to, particularly great when organising your life to put it simpler. I mean, it's far better then a diary because if you're anything like me, you probably end up misplacing your diary and I wouldn't dare think of losing my pocket PC. You can easily access the internet from wherever you are, if you need to look up tube/train times at last minute, you can. If you perhaps want to just research something at a particular moment for example in a pub quiz - I'm not saying you should cheat at pub quizzes or anything - well they're easy anyway...

...This was my frist ever hand held PC! I was absolutely amazed by it's processing power and capabilities as a really small computer system. This comes with 64mb of ram however quite alarge amount of this gets taken up by the sytem itself, so in essence you can only really store two mp3 albums on it's internal memory alone. This wouldn't be an ideal MP3 player or movie player, it'd have to be strictly work and documents! There are many add on programs that you can get for these little critters, my favorite is SPB Pocket plus, you can then add themes, wallpapers and all the system info is included on the desktop. The problem with this compared to todays new PDAs is that it doesn't have wireless or bluetooth connectivity which is a bit of a downside if your using it in conection with your pcs at home or at work and if you want to...

...I have been a fan of the Ipaq since the days of the old Compaq 3600 (way back in the summer of 99!). Since then I have had the Ipaq 5500 (the finger print reader) and now onto my third the new HX4700 (the one with the track pad!). Being familiar with the Ipaq's of old, the first thing I noticed when I unpacked the box was how thin the new Ipaq was, very thin, when compared to my old 5500. The looks though may not be to everyone's tastes, but it does the job. I have noticed though that HP seem to be getting more and more stingy on the "included" accessories. No more slip on case, spare pens nothing! With the 4700 all you get is the one stylus, a docking cradle and a plastic flap/cover for the screen. Hmmmm not looking too good so far then. Advantages: Battery life, Easy synchronisation, WIFI and application compatability
Disadvantages: Not too good speaker quality

...life, even though i have the device set to power off after five minutes of inactivity, it can last for six hours no problem running skype and other programs using WIFI to revcieve calls and such. The protective cover also ensures that you cannot touch the screen while it is in your pocket and protects it from sharp objects. Top device, i highly reccomend it for anybody wanting a reliable and very usefull device....

PS3 slim

Advantages: Blu-ray, free online, nice extras like vidzone & iplayer. Almost silent operation
Disadvantages: Rubbish controller, still expensive, online nowhere near as good as xbox live

...-line-Hooray, it's free, but again, I much prefer xbox live, yeah it has to be paid for, but it's clear who is spending more on the setup for on-line gaming, the connection in games is far more solid so I guess that not every penny from my subscription fee is going straight into Bill Gates' pocket. Maybe Sony are just spreading their budget for on-line too thinly in order to be the machine that offers everything but not quite managing to! Advantages: Easily read screen, loads of memory, and easy to use.
Disadvantages: It is pricey, and written instructions were sparse

...receiver fits into the Compact Flash slot at the top of the Ipaq, adding about an inch and a half to its length. The software I am using at present, is Destinator, but any of the other systems will work too. It is handy to have voice direction in the car from my hx4700 - I will resist the temptation to say it is far sweeter than the usual voice directions I have in the car !! - and the beauty of this, is that it is totally portable, so you can hike over the Lake District and always know where you are - even if that's not where you intended to be. The only BUT, is that using the gps and maps on battery only is VERY draining on battery juice. 3 or 4 hours will see you in the danger zone ! But if you are fascinated by technology and gadgets, here is something near the top of every decent wish list !...

...The HP iPAQ Pocket PC h2210 is perhaps on of the best pockect pc's on the market its fast reliable and does the job well, whether you want it for work or just for its movie and music playing capabilitys this is the one for you. The HP iPAQ Pocket PC h2210 is now reasnobly cheap for a PDA and has exellent programs for work purposes like pocket word and exel plus many more and others wich can be brought separately. The graphics are outstanding with just about no faults. This is backed up by a processor speed of 400Mhz wich is fast compared to others on the market, but isnt fast enough to download music files or movies from the internet. this brings me on to my next point, the HP iPAQ Pocket PC h2210 can conect to the internet via the normal method, dial up/ broad band or by certain mobile phones, im afraid i dont know how this works...
