Just think of all of the things you can do with a compact computer at the palm of your hands. Write documents and notes when you need to, particularly great when organising your life to put it simpler. I mean, it's far better then a diary because if you're anything like me, you probably end up misplacing your diary and I wouldn't dare think of losing my pocket PC. You can easily access the internet from wherever you are, if you need to look up tube/train times at last minute, you can. If you perhaps want to just research something at a particular moment for example in a pub quiz - I'm not saying you should cheat at pub quizzes or anything - well they're easy anyway...

Advantages: Great screen, all the connectivity you could possible need

...I have been a fan of the Ipaq since the days of the old Compaq 3600 (way back in the summer of 99!). Since then I have had the Ipaq 5500 (the finger print reader) and now onto my third the new HX4700 (the one with the track pad!). Being familiar with the Ipaq's of old, the first thing I noticed when I unpacked the box was how thin the new Ipaq was, very thin, when compared to my old 5500. The looks though may not be to everyone's tastes, but it does the job. I have noticed though that HP seem to be getting more and more stingy on the "included" accessories. No more slip on case, spare pens nothing! With the 4700 all you get is the one stylus, a docking cradle and a plastic flap/cover for the screen. Hmmmm not looking too good so far then. Advantages: Battery life, Easy synchronisation, WIFI and application compatability
Disadvantages: Not too good speaker quality

...life, even though i have the device set to power off after five minutes of inactivity, it can last for six hours no problem running skype and other programs using WIFI to revcieve calls and such. The protective cover also ensures that you cannot touch the screen while it is in your pocket and protects it from sharp objects. Top device, i highly reccomend it for anybody wanting a reliable and very usefull device....

...will happily preserve its memory contents just on the lithium cell alone. It's not even as though the IPAQ is a particularly good piece of design. Aside from the, admittedly, beautiful brushed alloy casing it incorporates one or two seriously shit pieces of production engineering. For example, the on/off button sits on the front of the unit, proud of the face. Guess what? It means that it is very prone to switching itself on while inside your briefcase (it's way too big to carry in your pocket, unless you are the jolly green giant). More than once I have been made to look somewhat less than professional in meetings when I have retrieved it from my case only to find that it has flattened its bloody battery en route. Worse still, the connecting socket at the base of the unit demands one of the flimsiest male connectors I have ever...

...The HP iPAQ Pocket PC h2210 is perhaps on of the best pockect pc's on the market its fast reliable and does the job well, whether you want it for work or just for its movie and music playing capabilitys this is the one for you. The HP iPAQ Pocket PC h2210 is now reasnobly cheap for a PDA and has exellent programs for work purposes like pocket word and exel plus many more and others wich can be brought separately. The graphics are outstanding with just about no faults. This is backed up by a processor speed of 400Mhz wich is fast compared to others on the market, but isnt fast enough to download music files or movies from the internet. this brings me on to my next point, the HP iPAQ Pocket PC h2210 can conect to the internet via the normal method, dial up/ broad band or by certain mobile phones, im afraid i dont know how this works...

It is a crucial issue, and hands-on is the only way to be sure. I tried the machine in PCWorld and again in Dixons. Neither shop tried to pressurise me into buying - they realise it is a costly buy. In Use Setting it into use was not at all difficult. Instructions for linking to a PC were clear, and the software ran first time. The screen is very bright, large, good resolution and easy to read. Battery life is good, and I have used it in Africa with three or four days between charges. It is possible to buy extra batteries, though you are talking about £60 for a standard battery and about £90 for a higher capacity. I bought a lead for use...

...My review is based on the HP Ipaq RX3118 Deciding to buy A couple of years ago, I decided that I needed a PDA to help me organise things and also wanted to buy a satnav but at the time the "TomToms" were quite expensive. I decided the rough specification that I wanted out of the PDA and that I needed WIFI and Bluetooth, as well as it being Windows based. After much searching through the internet I stumbled across the HP IPAQ RX3115 on the handtec website. It had exactly what I wanted, WIFI, Bluetooth, Pocket Windows 2003, enough ram and a fairly quick processor, the unit also appeared quite compact and had decent battery life. So there it was £179.99, after a few moments of umming and arring I ordered it. The unit arrives Surprisingly it arrived the very next day, I couldn't wait to open it! I got the unit out...
