...The iPod 5th generation is known as the iPod with video support rather than video iPod. This suggests that a true video iPod may follow in the 6th generation. The first thing you notice when you look at this ipod is that it seems rather large compared to the previous design, this is however untrue. The screen has been enlarged and the click wheel has shrunk, and although at first it looks rather out of proportion compared to the 4G you quickly overcome that. It is very slim and lightweight. The new generations of iPods (including the nanos) have a glossy effect with a clear pastic over the top of the white (or black) body. This makes it more prone to scratches. ...Great Product, i have had mine for about a year and find it very good! Easily transfer songs via itunes then listen to them on the go without any problems! Only disadvantages that i can think of is that it can get scratched very easily, and that some times it freezes up! But definetly worth buying and i would recommend people to buy it! 30gb is alot of space that would not easily be used up! The picture quality is very nice and i use it to watch movies on thats how good the quality is! Advantages: Easy to use, exclusive, neat design.
Disadvantages: Price over video iPod

...Have now owned my U2 Video Ipod for 8 months now, and i haven't really had any problems. The design is distinctive and popular, set apart from the normal video iPods with the red wheel and signatures. Apart from that the features are exactly the same as the normal 30GB iPod. Only real drawback i have encountered is that sometimes the iPod trips over some mp3s, meaning it resets itself and will not play the song, though syncing the iPod with iTunes again has solved these problems every time. I would recommend the U2 iPod as a purchase, and feel it is worth the premium over the normal iPod, but in essence the premium is simply for exclusivity. Otherwise, the screen is crystal clear, and i have found the black back of the U2 iPod to show much less scratching than the normal video iPod.... Read review

...Overall experience of this product is a great one, and to be honest i don't know where i would be without it. I purchased one pretty much as soon as it came out, and still don't think there is anything much better on the market. I am a serious music lover and currently have more than 6000 songs on my ipod and its only three quarters full. The 30gb version is ideal for anyone, and only unless you need major storage of music, for you job etc, would i recommend paying more for the 60gb version. The screen is very clear and great for watching music videos, films etc, although does scratch quite easily, and if you drop it, can crack quite easily (you are looking at a £50 - £70 repair charge for a new screen.) ...I have had an iPod since early 2003 and must admit that I am blown away by them. I have recently bought the 30GB G3 model and love it. Advantages: Firstly, the ipod is tiny considering what it is - a 30GB hard disk! You can store up to 8000 tracks on it - your entire music collection (if applicable). Not only is it a MP3 player but it's also a portable firewire hard disk. I use my ipod to listen to music on the way to work but also carry most of my work files on it, or software, or anything you want! Its flexibility is amazing. The sheer number of add-ons is great. You can get iTrips to tune it into a FM radio station, memory card readers, iTalk to turn it into a dictaphone and MANY more. ...it came with a free screen protector. You only get a USB charger also. If you wish to charge on the go in a wall or in the car then you will need to buy another charger. Also the computer needs to be on for it to charge. OTHER The battery life lasts through at least two films I have found and then some. It is very good considering the screen is brighter than the old version yet the battery lasts longer. A tip to save battery is to have the backlight off when not needed! The headphones are Apple's new and improved. They offer better comfort, sound quality and noise canceling. They work very well and yes they are comfortable. This 30GB model is what I have because you do not need more than that I find. You will find yourself holding films on there that you don't even watch if it is too big.
