Advantages: Lots of space for files, good video and sound quality, easy to use, great design
Disadvantages: The longer you have it the quicker and more charging it needs, can sometimes freeze and need reset

...I am a person who likes variety, and listening to music when walking. When I had my portable cd player, I got annoyed whenever it jogged by the slightest bump and having to lug around several cds so I could change the music when I wanted. That's why I'm so grateful for the iPod. It has a smart, simple and stylish design. It is easy to use and can probably be easily used by most people. It is small but not too small, so it can fit into most pockets or handbags but not be easily lost. The video display is sharp and clear, watching videos on the iPod is always a delight. The sound quality is also good and has an equalizer setting option so you can change the sound to, for example, more or less bass. The amount of space that comes with the 30Gb is plenty. Advantages: Clear colour, sound quality high, prices dropped from old version
Disadvantages: screen scratches, exterior scratches.

...with the outer layer. The sound quality as well is impressive. I have never heard a scratch or flicker while watching my movies. This is good because the train journey does get bumpy every once and a while so the fact it can withstand that shows it is good. Video playback is very smooth and clear. I have personally never encountered any problem watching a video. The audio is always in line with the video. CONTENTS With the Ipod, you get a USB charger, a docking station adapter, a set of headphones, and some software to install on your computer (Itunes and the Drivers required). Installation was perfectly easy. You do not get a case with it so to prevent those nasty scratches on screens buy yourself a case and a screen protector. ...For the money this music player is one of the best available, however, there are a few things Apple could have improved over the prior generation models that they didn't. Issue 1: The LCD is too small for normal viewing. This ipod is a "video" model but yet I can buy a PSP for a £40 less, have more of a screen area, and still be able to play games. Keep in mind you won't have 30 gigs of storage, but I have almost 4,000 songs and 10 music videos and still have around 24 gigs lefts. Who really needs that much space? Issue 2: The player uses a menu system that makes it very time consuming to find what you are looking for. Let's say you want to find a song by Kanye West. I can search by Song, Artist, or by letter. iPod 30GB Classic

Advantages: Large HardDrive, Photo and Video Storage
Disadvantages: Some Uploading Problems

...First of all lets just say, what a great product. Now that iPods have the ability to store videos and photos aswell as the standard music the 30GB harddrive memory really comes in handy and gives plenty of room for a nice selection of each. The battery life was said to be 14hours for music on this item but to be honest I would have to say it would be nearer 8-9hours which as im sure you'll agree is a significant difference. The design is as before stylish and again as before the scrolling wheel makes searching through your library much easier. Syncing your iPod couldn't be more simple, just install itunes and your away however I have found that some of my videos wont upload onto my iPod despite being in the iTunes library. Also the automatic upload of any new songs really helps those of us who aren't completely clued up on technology...

...The Apple IPOD is the first MP3 player that I have bought. I find the actual outer body very appealing. It's pretty resilient as I dropped it while jogging and out of it's case. It has one small chip on the side but otherwise fine. The clicker is easy to use although it took me a while to get used to it. You tend to scroll past songs/ albums or are unable to select a specific song as it keeps skipping to the next one in line. But some practice makes that better. The actual menu layout is good. I was comparing the ipod to the Sony walkman MP3 and found the Sony a bit confusing. An added bonus is the colour screen. ...I never thought I would need an ipod. I was quite happy with my midi player, but after getting one for my birthday I would never look back! You may think you don't need to have all your cds with you when you go out , which you don't, but it make traveling so much better. To be able to create a play list with all your favorite songs is amazing and i don't mean like uploading your top 30 to you mp3 player, I mean ALL your favorite song. Whats even better is that if you know someone who has ipod speakers or if you have them yourself, then all your mates can bring round their ipods and have so much choice of music to listen to and it saves carrying around all those clumsy cds. ...My original iPod was a 4gb Mini in silver, which I purchased in September 2004. It worked flawlessly, looked great and iTunes was (and still is) a delight to use. That was the reason why I had to upgrade; the iPod just filled up too quickly, necessitating the 30gb 'Photo' purchase. I bought it in April 2005 and at first I didn't like the styling as much as I did for the Mini. The 30gb capacity (27.9gb available to the user) is more than enough and probably more than I'd ever need. It has been supremely reliable, which is at odds with the reports you hear from others. It has even withstood a fall from 7ft, whereby the case popped open. I've decided that, based upon my needs, there is a low chance that I will replace it, unless it becomes unusable. My only gripe is, the chrome rear casing tarnished within months and the front has scratches...

...Great Product, i have had mine for about a year and find it very good! Easily transfer songs via itunes then listen to them on the go without any problems! Only disadvantages that i can think of is that it can get scratched very easily, and that some times it freezes up! But definetly worth buying and i would recommend people to buy it! 30gb is alot of space that would not easily be used up! The picture quality is very nice and i use it to watch movies on thats how good the quality is! The price of the product is well worth it and trust me you will not regret buying this ipod what so ever! Well worth the money and a great mp3 player to use!...
