Advantages: Easy navigation, clear large screen, huge capacity, great looking, excellent value for money
Disadvantages: iTunes a little annoying, dodgy earphones

Classic Ipod 80G

Advantages: Looks good, easy to use, good for value.
Disadvantages: Freezes sometimes, repetitive use can hurt hand, screen a bit small.

ipod Classic review

Advantages: Quick, simple, large memory, long batterey life, compact, stylish.
Disadvantages: At first it is complicated to use

...satisfying to use, there is a built in search engine in this ipod so you can search your songs by lettrer or by word, this can be extremely usefull when you have over 100 songs because you dont have to seach through albums etc. Probably my favourite thing about the ipod classic is when you turn it off, it remembers where you turned it off and when it is turned back on it starts up where it was turned off, even in the middle of a tv show! Another thing i love about this device is the lock switch at the top which allows the user to lock the ipod to prevent accidental pressing of buttons. It has a contacts folder and a clock. If you are bored you could also try the games which are included free with the device. they are simple, easy to controll but give a good challenge that kept me interested. Downloading from itunes to the ipod takes only minuites...

Ipod Classic - Flop

Advantages: Huge Memory
Disadvantages: Not pocket proof

...When i purchases this Ipod earlier this year, shortly after they came out in England, i was very dissapointed with this ipod. With its mirrored back leadign to scratching and dust collection it is necesary to buy a case for it, but what a selection, you can buy a rubbish cloth case which you cannot see the screen, or a rubber one which makes changing a song almost physically impossible. But to talk about the Ipod itself, the black is prone to scratching far more easily than the silver version. Although it looks better in my opinion, more futuristic and sleek it does gather dust at an alarming rate...... The cheapest place i could find the ipod (at a reputable seller) was on www.play.com but thats if your ok with buying over the internet, but HMV arent that bad if youw ant to go and see it. Or you could always go to the Apple shop...

ipod classic-honest view

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: bit slow, not as attractive as the touch

...road where cars and lorries are driving past constantly and i've never felt like i needed more volume) plus too much volume is bad for your ears lolo...overalll if you want to buy this ipod and are on a limited budget i'de go for it mind you it is slighlty slow e.g. loading up a film to watch takes 2 seconds aswell as chaging a song via scrolling down the song list. i have also felt that when i fast foarward a movie i can feel the machinery inside move so it is heavy duty and full onf memory...otherwise go for a 32 GB ipod touch much classier faster thinner and attractive. but the classic is worth the money....

...for the ipod. I have bought an ipod comaptible JVC mini system so i can listen to my music out loud, which also handily charges it when docked - but this is for another review!! In general the ipod classic has been refined and perfected from its 5th gen cousin and i would highly recommend it, and all this for less than £140, its a downright steal!!...

iPod Classic - Still One of the Best

Advantages: It's an iPod, Great Value for Money, lots of features.
Disadvantages: The headphones supplied aren't great, Screen Too Small for Movies

...I think that this is a major improvement to the older gen ipod. The navigation and menus is much easier and music more attractive, the cover flow is a great feature where you can easily flick through your album collection just like your would in real life. Games are great for when you get bored, and the games on this iPod are a HUGE improvement to the older games. Now the iPod has proper games with thier own menu's and soundtracks. It lets you store your highscores so you can try and beat them. Personally I would not use this iPod to watch movies on although the video function is great. The screen is just too small to watch a whole length movie on it. I have not tried it yet, but I'm sure it would be great when you connect it to your TV to watch the movie. Other features include photo viewer, contacts, notes, clock and more...

Ipod Classic 80GB

...I decided to buy the Ipod classic so I could use it watch movies for when i went on holiday. First impressions where great, I loved the sleaker new design from the case even to the USB lead. The music quiz is a great improvement from the previouse model it's like a game show. The Ipod is easy to use as always no problems with putting music on there and no problems with movies. The movies themselves are of great quality and handy on long journeys to watch. The battery also lasts a long time if you charge it for long enough when you first get it but I found if you are watching a movie on it then reduce the brightness so the battery lasts that bit longer. The one major problem I had was the lack of response from the scroll wheel. A lot of the time it doesn't respond at all and then shoots all the way past the song you...

Disadvantages: the cost is a bit over the top

...I think that it has been two years since Apple launched its last standard iPod and it's not surprising to see the design tweaked this time around. But while it hasn't received quite as dramatic a makeover as the nano this is still a very nice refinement. The most obvious change is to the glossy front fascia, which has now been dumped in favour of anodised aluminium fronts. Like the nano, the corners are rounded and the edges curve gently towards smartly sharp corners, while the back is shiny, easily marked chrome, just as before. The Classic has also been slimmed down by a few millimetres - all the better for your pocket at just 10.5mm (13.5mm for the 160GB model), but this is hardly a dramatic change and in all other respects - physically at least - the Classic remains very familiar. ...So my old third generation ipod (you remember the 4 buttons at the top) died about 6 months a go and i've been meaning to replace it ever since. So as soon as i got paid i poped down to my local John Lewis and picked one up for £159 and you get a years free guarantee with it as well. You can also get the 160 GB model for £229 Where do i start?! This is so different then my old one. Better off course! The one thing i remember it took hours to transfere my songs from pc to the ipod. But with this i pluged it in and started syncing and my little under 4000 songs only took over half hour to transfere. And of course it recharges while its pluged into the pc so theres no need to rush to find a plug socket. With this newer model the battery last long, the screen is brighter so there is so many improvements! This iPod is more then...
