...I have had my ipod classic for nearly two years now and ive only ever had one fault with it, and even then apple sent a U.P.S van out with package, i returned it with the driver and the ipod was sent back to me full circle in three days. I have owned the ipod shuffle and the video and i would have to say the classic is the best. The menus are easy to minovure around and the coverflow is a very nice touch. The cover flow enables you to find the album just by remembering what the cover looked like, sound like it cannot be hard to forget a fav track, with 160gig its easily done so you will be thankfull of the cover flow after twenty minutes of searching. The IPod classic - well, there is not much difference functionality then the IPod video. Opening any product made by apple is a joy in itself - one does wonder how long they deliberate over the pretty box! Getting over the box design, the IPod is neatly presented - with the contents kept in individual packaging. Once I tapped the play button, the usual setup menu was a welcoming sight and I continued the usual setup process. ...First of all lets just say, what a great product. Now that iPods have the ability to store videos and photos aswell as the standard music the 30GB harddrive memory really comes in handy and gives plenty of room for a nice selection of each. The battery life was said to be 14hours for music on this item but to be honest I would have to say it would be nearer 8-9hours which as im sure you'll agree is a significant difference. The design is as before stylish and again as before the scrolling wheel makes searching through your library much easier. Syncing your iPod couldn't be more simple, just install itunes and your away however I have found that some of my videos wont upload onto my iPod despite being in the iTunes library. Also the automatic upload of any new songs really helps those of us who aren't completely clued up on technology...

Also the computer needs to be on for it to charge. OTHER The battery life lasts through at least two films I have found and then some. Issue 1: The LCD is too small for normal viewing. This ipod is a "video" model but yet I can buy a PSP for a £40 less, have more of a screen area, and still be able to play games. Keep in mind you won't have 30 gigs of storage, but I have almost 4,000 songs and 10 music videos and still have around 24 gigs lefts. Who really needs that much space? Issue 2: The player uses a menu system that makes it very time consuming to find what you are looking for. Let's say you want to find a song by Kanye West. I can search by Song, Artist, or by letter.
