...I got my 8GB ipod touch for christmas and its been great every since day one! It came with a cool leather case to protect the beautiful shiny backplate that it has (so easily scratched its incredible!) It feels really nice in your hands and is just so easy and simple to use. It works using a touch screen system and only two main buttons. One for turning it on and off and one is the home button which is used to close appications and return to the homepage. One of the best features of the 2nd gen touch is the WIFI connection. I connected it to my homehub router in seconds and then was able to use apples pre-installed web browser safari, which i was very impressed by. Using the WIFI connection also allows you to check your e-mails from a variety of sources ( but sadly no hotmail link ) and access the itunes store and appstore like...

ipod touch review

Advantages: Attractive, easy to use touch screen and applications
Disadvantages: Expensive and the headphones are not very durable

...In my opinion the iPod touch is the best in the MP3 player category. With features such as the applications and album artwork it is much more than just a music playing device. However, I would recommend most music listeners to go for a higher memory option. The headphones are not very durable however, and are expensive to replace. That s one drawback of the iPod, all the accessories and software updates tend to be expensive. With the accessories it may be best to look elsewhere than the official Apple products as there are good alternatives. Unless you want a simple music player, in which case I would recommend the iPod shuffle, I think this easily beats the competition in attractiveness and, like most Apple products, just being cool! Its is not the cheapest in its category, but I think it is without a doubt the best....

Another Great Ipod From The Genius's Of Apple

There are some flaws about iTunes like for example media that is purchased will need to be backed up otherwise will be lost. iTunes does not store the purchased media with your account as seen with similar shops like Xbox Live Marketplace. A pod for the ipod

Advantages: Sturdy but light and protects the pod
Disadvantages: No access to controls while in case

...of the case for the earphones - handy else there'd be little point if you coudn't listen! and also access to the 'hold' button. The case is leather and very soft leather at that - not that that's a problem, adds to the quality of the finish. Because the case is sturdy, it does provide added protection should you drop it - the very reason I wanted one - being nervous about that potential eventaulity. I paid £19.99 at John Lewis which I think is fair - especially as I saw something very similar but not leather on-line for £30. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to protect their ipod and have it a bit more portable. Note: I am lost as to why Ciao ask me to rate the sound quality of this. It's a case - yes a case. Belkin Folio Ipod Nano White Case

Advantages: Clean, Tough, Looks very well built

...When I purchased my Ipod nano, I have heard plenty about how easily they are damaged so I made sure along side its purchase I ordered a case. I chose this on because it was a Belkin case which I like that brand. It also was white to match the Ipod and it also looked quite appealing to me for my tastes. Unfortunately the case was quite expensive coming in at about 15 pounds from the apple website but at least I was pleased to se it came with a "free/something to make it seem like your money was well spent" screen protector. The protector itself is a little film of plastic that is non-adhesive so it does not stick to your screen for easy removal. The case is made of nice looking quality leather. It is stitched so it's not just cheaply glued together. The inside is very soft and smooth so it is not to scratch the delicate mirror...

...Since getting my Ipod touch for christmas i have been obsessed. I love how i can easily access the internet and download apllications almost anywhere where there is an available internet connection. The screen is clear and the sound is crisp although the speaker could do with being slightly louder. I had slight trouble in the first week of getting my ipod as it crashed and i ws unable to use it for a few days until i found out on the Apple website how to reset and restore it which resulted in all my songs and apps that were already on it being deleted. Thankfully it was a quick process to get them all back on again. One disadvange is a lot of memory is taken up under the section know as 'other' on itunes, in my case it is around 1Gb and i stil lhave no idea what it is using all that memory, i would not mind if the capacity was larger but...

...I think that it has been two years since Apple launched its last standard iPod and it's not surprising to see the design tweaked this time around. But while it hasn't received quite as dramatic a makeover as the nano this is still a very nice refinement. The most obvious change is to the glossy front fascia, which has now been dumped in favour of anodised aluminium fronts. Like the nano, the corners are rounded and the edges curve gently towards smartly sharp corners, while the back is shiny, easily marked chrome, just as before. The Classic has also been slimmed down by a few millimetres - all the better for your pocket at just 10.5mm (13.5mm for the 160GB model), but this is hardly a dramatic change and in all other respects - physically at least - the Classic remains very familiar. iPod Touch

Advantages: Very cool and sexy, Packed with features, Good sound quality through headphones,
Disadvantages: Built in speaker quality, battery when online, durability, and price (but its Apple so y'know :) )

...very good and solved all my problems. The battery life when listening to music is good however when on the internet etc. as well it drains much quicker. Also obviously a very shiny ipod is susceptible to scratches and mucky finger prints. I recommend buying a case as I did, as without it I'm sure my iPod would be ruined! I bought an iPhone case and aside from the hole for the camera at the back, it fits perfectly. Also hold onto your cloth that comes in the box! this proves very useful! Thats about all I can think off as far as the iPod Touch goes... oooh, it's very good for watching BBC iPlayer! Any questions, just ask :) oohh and a lot of people say they love the games, however I find the tilt control too sensitive and not worth the hassle... but the free games are always worth a shot :)...
