Advantages: Small, comes in many colours, good memory, easy to use
Disadvantages: on the chunky side although still small, lacks a colour screen

He ordered one from America, and it never came. The company it was bought from offered a replacement while they filed an insurance claim, only the second one didnt come either. He was in a massive strop because he had lost his money, and I was in one because I was missing a birthday present! He finally got all his money back a couple of months ago, so I ordered my pink mini from Apples website, along with an iSkin and a dock. It came just in time for me to take to New York, and I had my nickname engraved on the back for free, so that if anybody ever steals it, they wont be able to sell it. Advantages: Good music player, good apps
Disadvantages: only 7.01gb. can only fit 1100 songs

...This is the best gadget i own, it combines decent mini games, music and social networking in one easy package. It has made using facebook alot easier, so i don't have to tun on my laptop every time i want to check it. true, the app for facebook closes down when i try to chat with some people, but thats the only hitch. along with e-buddy its the best facebook mobile out there. The mini games are quite good, but not worth buying the ipod purely for them though. many games are free, but the best ones cost about 60p to £2. i would recommend pocket god, which is addictive. then theres the music player, which is as good as any ipod out there. the reason why i give it only 4 stars is because whilst it claims it can fit 1750 songs on it you would be able to get at most about 1100 songs on it without any apps on the device as well. also it...

...After reading a few devastating reviews of the iPod mini, I feel the need to defend it particularly as I find there is nothing to complain about. I've heard many scare stories about the iPods, both the normal white ones as well as the mini version. However they seem to boil down to the following: -Poor Battery Life -White earbuds = ASKING to get mugged. -Questionable Sound Quality -Absence of a radio tuner. As for battery life, I only use my iPod when I'm commuting, so I haven't felt the need for anything longer than even the advertised 8hrs. Because of this I only need to charge my iPod on average every 3 days. Regarding the white apple earbuds being a mugging magnet - you honestly have to be a total retard or wear rose-tinted glasses to walk out of the house with Apple's supplied earbuds and expect to come back home...

...In my opinion the iPod touch is the best in the MP3 player category. With features such as the applications and album artwork it is much more than just a music playing device. However, I would recommend most music listeners to go for a higher memory option. The headphones are not very durable however, and are expensive to replace. That s one drawback of the iPod, all the accessories and software updates tend to be expensive. With the accessories it may be best to look elsewhere than the official Apple products as there are good alternatives. Unless you want a simple music player, in which case I would recommend the iPod shuffle, I think this easily beats the competition in attractiveness and, like most Apple products, just being cool! Its is not the cheapest in its category, but I think it is without a doubt the best....

I have been an Apple fan for a while and have have an iPod mini (4gb), iPod video (30gb) and now my iPod touch (as well as a Mac mini =] ). If you are wanting an MP3 player that will just play your music then you may be put off the iPod touch as for the same price you can have a considerably bigger music player. However the Album Art scrolling feature- known as Cover Flow make it more interesting, and there is nothing more fun than scrolling through your albums with your fingers! However this is a lot more than an MP3 player. Although it will hold 2000 songs or tonnes of videos it also has a lot more features built in. ...The Ipod mini was one of the first Ipods, The 4GB version is able to hold 1000 songs and is non - colour but don't let that put you off. This IPod was designed to hold songs there are other little features such as games but it was for music this makes it ideal for you, if all you need is a reliable MP3 able to hold a large amount of music. Another bonus point of course is that the Ipod Mini's are now dated and so can be bought very cheap some can even be seen selling for around 10 pounds. Reliabilty is great on the Ipod Mini's I've had mine since it was released in 2004 and in the four years (nearly 5) nothing has gone wrong. So if your looking for a cheap, reliable, music player then the Ipod mini's for you....
