Apple IPod Nano 2GB

Advantages: music playback is great and it holds 500 songs
Disadvantages: battery seems to drain quicker as it gets older

...I like listening to music on the go and have owned the first generation IPod Nano 2GB in black for over two years and have found it to be a brilliant piece of audio equipment that has taken away the need for a bulky stereo in my flat and lots of CDs in my car. I paid only £60 for my second hand Nano and I consider this to be something of a real steal, however the extras such as a protective jacket, docking station and cable for my car stereo really bumped up the outlay. The main point though is that it really was worth it. After installing the iTunes software onto my laptop I have been able to import 500 of my all time favourite songs and disco beats on my Nano. ...This is my first i-pod of any sort.I deceded on the 2GB apple i-pod Nano Black. I have had mp3 players , cd players etc,but to be quite honest none of them came close to performance or ease of use as the Nano is. I have loads of cds and so far have put on about ten.The sound ,once loaded on to the i-pod is even better than the cd itself.The sound is fantastic,its that good.i am hearing and picking up sounds and words i never recognised on the cd before. The content in the i-pod itself is great,there are all types of settings and function,which are so easy to use . Advantages: SIMPLE USE; LIGHT AND SMALL IN SIZE
Disadvantages: LOW MEMORY CAPACITY;

...if you would like to put your complete album collection on there then I would suggest getting a larger capacity such as a 30GB or higher as the 2GB wouldn't be sufficient. But as far as the device itself is concerned, definitely a big thumbs up from me and for other Apple Ipod products alike....

Advantages: Amazing sound quality, many extras
Disadvantages: Grubby appearence once used, easliy scratched

...There are many functions to the Ipod Nano 2gb, 1st generation. This mp3 player is for a person with not thousands of songs, as it can only hold about 500. The iTunes software is incredibly easy to use once installed, and downloading, importing, and deleting songs can be done only with a few clicks. I also found that using iTunes as a normal media player is a very usefull function, and in my opinion is it much easier to control then Windows Media Player. The few games that the Nano has to offer are rarely used by myself, mainly because it runs the battery down like crazy. There are 4 games to this iPod, but mostly people buy the iPod for the music, and not the extras. The nano in black looks cool and sleek when new, but after months of use this appearance loses appeal because of the grubbiness and scatches if not taken care...

iPod Nano 2 GB

Advantages: Small, attractive, compact.
Disadvantages: If you like features...its not for you.

...I must say, I prefer this to the iPod Touch to be honest, its smaller, more compact and so much easier to carry around and use. The thing with this is it plays your music like any mp3 player with a couple of extra features like photo viewing and games. The good thing about the iPod nano is that its perfect for taking with you when your walking, or at the gym (you can even get waterproof cases whcih you can put on the iPod so you can even take it in the pool!!!). If you've got a tape player in your car, you can get a tape which attatches to the ipod via a cable in the headphone socket, so you can play all your favourite songs in the car. Or you can get a radio transmitter which tranfers your songs through an FM site so you don't have to burn CDs with your songs on and you never have to cope with the annoying jumping of a scratched CD...

...I've had an iPod Nano 2gb now for about 3 months and I love it. 2GB is enough to hold about 400-500 songs (about 35-45 albums) which is ample for most people. (Personally I only store about 50 songs and the rest of the capactity I use to store podcasts.) The bundled iTunes software is excellent at synchronising your iPod with all or some of your music collection (you arrange it in playlists) and will also updated and synchronise any subscribed podcasts.
