IPod Nano 4gb Black
Advantages: Its a MAC product!
Disadvantages: Dont sit on it!
...Since the launch of podcasting the wife has hijacked my 3G iPod! So with my birthday fast approaching decided to purchase a second iPod for my own personal use. Now a two iPod family!
So how much? Purchased in Australia, so with my tax back at the airport, just over £150.
What do you get? Well not a lot actually. Just the basic Nano iPod, a USB2 cable, a set of earphones, installation disk, two stickers (to advertise apple) and a set of instructions. Packaging is the usual MAC uber cool, a delight to open.
What don't you get? No charger, no firewire cable and no docking station. I guess to keep the cost down you get the bare minimum, but enough to get you up and listening to your itunes.
Wont go to much into the details of the product as you can find all the technical stuff on the apple website. But basically it is 4gb...

iPod Nano 4 GB Silver
Advantages: Fits easily into your pocket, battery life is superb.
Disadvantages: fiddly control wheel. Screen scratches easily.
...After owning many MP3 players in the past, i finally ended up with an iPod. I've never been a fan of the iPod, as i have always felt that they were expensive and just a style accessory. I received my iPod 4GB Nano for Christmas 2007. When i took off the wrapping, i was very surprised at how small the packaging was. Just a little clear plastic box with enough space to hold the iPod Nano itself, USB lead, headphones and some simple instructions. Im a big fan of small packaging and don't like to see items with alot of wastage packaging so I was very pleased with how the iPod was packaged.
When i took out the iPod Nano, i was surprised at how slim it was, and also it is very light. I don't even notice it in my pocket unlike other MP3 players i have had in the past which have been on the bulky side. I needed to charge it via the pc and USB...

I-Pod Nano 4GB
Advantages: Video Playback
Disadvantages: None
...The I-Pod Nano 4GB is an excellent mp3 player. I paid £99 for my one of these but you can sometimes get them cheaper. It was worth every penny as this mp3 player can do pretty much anything. With up to 24 hours of music playback and 5 hours of video playback you cant ask for much more than that. The I-Pod Nano is so easy to use. You can browse by artist, genre, album and much more. You can even browse by the album front cover and flip the cover to see the track listing. You can use the click wheel to adjust the volume to your liking. The I-Pod Nano makes your music look as good as it sounds with its brand new features. It has a very bright screen, which makes it all look much nicer. You can put thousands of TV shows on your I-Pod Nano, which are available to download directly from your I-Tunes online store. You can download thousands...

IPod Nano 8GB Black
Advantages: Size, Capacity, Design
Disadvantages: None
...I have had this IPod a while now, I originally had the IPod mini original one and although that was great when I got it, I started having problems with it (I had it a while). So I updated to this one and I must say I am very impressed.
The IPod is small and compact so takes up no room at all, although I have to put it in the tiny pocket of my jeans because it would get lost in the normal pockets haha!
The touch sensitive buttons are good, easy to use and you don't have to push down on the buttons too hard and the volume adjust is very easy but that doesn't mean it will suddenly change the volume if you move with it in your pocket, it has a very good locking button at the bottom which is easy to slide but not loose so it won't suddenly change, simply lock the IPod and it stops all the buttons from working so songs won't suddenly...

Ipod Nano 4gb 3rd gen
Advantages: small
Disadvantages: not so easy for first time user
...The item itself is excellent, easy to use, sounds great, and fits neatly into any pocket. The only problem is with the loading of all my cd's into itunes to put themon my nano. I had to import all the song titles manually and then search the internet for the cd artwork and drag it across as itunes had NONE!!!. When I then put it all onto my Nano when the cd was playing only the first track showed the artwork so I had to copy it to every track for every album. To say that Apple have sold millions of these devices over many years (we're now on the 3rd Gen) it's about time they got the itunes updated with a lot more info....

Ipod Nano 4GB - Silver
Advantages: Slim design, very light.
Disadvantages: Very unuseful instructions
...how to switch it on and how to charge it so to work out how to use the rest is up to you. They do provide you with 90 days of free telephone support according to the apple website, although I didnt see any number to ring or any information about this in with my ipod. So if your a first time ipod buyer this is going to be extremely difficult to use. I only managed with it because my brother has one and ive had mp3 players before.

Ipod Nano 3G Black 8GB
Advantages: Bright Screen, Many Features, Great Battery Life
Disadvantages: None
...After a bike accident in which smashed my old ipod nano 1G and after 3 days in hospital without it to listen to i bought a IPOD NANO 3G Black 8GB, it i great the sound quality is good with new headphones however the ipod earphones are not great and it has a equalizer to match the sort of music you play, and the amount to choose from is huge, the screen is incredibley bright and clear and can be adjusted and when playing video the quality was way better than my digital TV. 8GB is plenty of room for movies and music as the videos are compressed for ipod compatibility. The itunes software does not allow you to do this however free programs are available that do. The ipod it very easy to use and some really cool games which make use of the good screen as well as other features like alarm clock, power off timer, contacts, notes, stopwatch...

Apple iPOD NANO 8GB Black
Advantages: Easy to use, good sound quality, looks, size
Disadvantages: Internal amp, gets marked and scratched easily, lack of charger included, needs USB 2.0
..., photos and podcasts.
In terms of settings you can view the time, play games and also change the sound levels (EQ). Changing the EQ is managed by preset areas such as "accoustic" and "bass reducer", one issue is that these can not be manually modified.
Look and design
In black this device looks better than anything else on the market. ou will need to buy a iPod glove or cover to ensure the device does not get too scratched.
Apple is famous for its design and does not miss out with this Nano, it is simple but i dont believe it could look better!
Value for money
I paid around £120 for my iPod, although more expensive than the similar offerings by sony the iPod is worth the money pay.
Equipment included
The Nano comes with a USB cable, headphones and a universal dock adaptor. THERE IS NO PLUG INCLUDED - YOU CHARGE THROUGH...

iPod nano four giga byte silver
Advantages: Read full review to find out. All will be revealed
Disadvantages: Read full review to find out.
...appears only to amplify the treble ranges.
The hand dial that is used to change song selection and the volume adjustment is a clumsy awkward feature here. Moving the dial up often moves the cursor graphic downwards, and nothing is particularly consistent.
I have had a couple of cheap mp3 players in the past and although this one looks better and is much more user friendly, there is not much difference in sound quality despite the price difference.
The Ipod Nano four gigabyte and lesser sized one and two giga byte versions also do not have built in radio, which is a part of the latest and pricier mobile phones on the market. The Liquid Crystal Display screen is a small two inches. This raises the issue of the screen being small. Though, I personally would not consider watching a film on a two inch screen as the experience would not...

Nano 4GB
Advantages: Tiny
Disadvantages: Scared it will snap!
...I bought my first Nano a week ago and have had to take it back to the shop to change it already. For some reason I had problems getting it to turn on sometimes but the shop exchanged it for me and the new one seems to be fine.
To being with, it really is a small as the adverts make out, if not smaller. When I first saw it I was shocked! The 4GB can hold approx 1000 songs and can also store photos but this obviously takes up memory so the more photos you have, the fewer songs you can store.
Apparently the first batch of Nano's had problems with the screen cracking and people have said to be careful of forgeting its in your pocket and sitting down. This didn't surprise me as it is so thin but I have sat on it a number of times! Once for 40 mins in a lecture and it has been fine!
It does more than just store music and photos though...
