Advantages: Good Storage, A Good All Rounder, Tougher Than Older Models.
Disadvantages: Bad Battery Life.

...The new Ipod 3rd generation nano is a new way to have everything an Ipod offers in a smaller, easier to manage form, this new Ipod covers: Music, videos, photos, podcasts and extras which include games, notes and alarms. In my opinion the 8GB storage space is the best option, it gives you the ability to hold your favorite few films whilst still being able to store all your music, the screen although not massive is reasonably large enough to be able to watch videos on and has good picture quality. The newer Ipod nano seems to be tougher that the older nano's, small drops are no longer a worry of broken screens or freezing. One thing I would note about the Ipod is its battery life, in my own experience it seems that it can suddenly drain very quickly, one in particular is in the car try not to leave your Ipod playing if it does...

iPod Nano 3rd Gen 8GB - One of the Best!

Advantages: Made well, holds 2000 songs, plays videos,images and games, itunes software is excellent
Disadvantages: DRM locked music, 79p a song is expensive

Since the first iPod from Apple came out people having been fixated on them. I remember the days of the portable disc player, hauling a massive disc player which couldn't fit in your pocket, and that's before you have to carry the discs round which had a habit of getting damaged, especially when on the move. Now that the iPod has come along it makes all the problems of the disc player like size and portability thing of the past. With the ability to hold thousands of songs, videos, games, images and other applications on such a small device it is extremely appealing to all. ...this ipod is really good. It comes with standard ipod earphones worth about £20 - £25. The ipods full memory is around 7.2 gb because of the space the actual ipod programme comes with. the ipod can play videos in mp4 format and these are usually very good quality. the ipod comes with a few quizzes in the games section and a block breaker game although my favourite game is the music quiz which collects info on the music in your ipod and quizzes you about them so this game i thought was very clever. the ipod plays both mp3 and wma files although every song must be uploaded onto itunes but dont worry you dont need to buy every song you can rip the music from cd's or upload them from your computer. Ihave had no problem with my ipod yet and ive had it for about 8 months ( date correct at 8th july 08)...

...You just have to love the iPod nano. Yes, so maybe there are a few tiny issues with it, but when you look at it and consider the cute, chic design of the thing- how can you not fall in love with it? I hate to be anywhere without my music, and the nano is the perfect way to carry my music with me. Small enough to fit in my pocket, with more than enough memory to store all my songs on it, and excellent sound quality, the iPod nano 3rd gen is a must-have. I also love the fact that it stores videos and photos, almost like carrying a mini-version of my computer around with me. Have some fun in your life with the iPod Nano 3rd generation

I have put a few videos on this and since the screen is small it sort of goes a little blurry, but not too much that you can't see the video. It comes in Silver, Black, Red, Green and Light Blue. You move around the wheel (the circle) to ajust the sound and move up and down the menu or artists. Even if your sound is down at the lowest you can still here well aslong as youve not made it completely silent. Sadly the headphones broke quickly, and so did my sisters and most peoples. Rather than explain the good points to you (as that would take far too long as, generally, the standard is superb), I will list negative points: 1. A low fuzz can be heard in some songs, in some it's more prominent than others. It's on completely random songs i.e not just on downloads, songs off CDs, etc - it's a combination. However I've had this problem on no other ipods that I've used, including the same generation, so I put this down to being unlucky and getting a dud set of ear-pieces. 2. ...I've never used this iPod to watch video but I've seen other people with the same model - some had full-length movies on theirs! - and it looks great. I've never had any problems at all with my iPod and I've had it for over a year, I think. I'd advise keeping it in a case or sock of some sort because it can get scratched pretty easily - nonetheless I still prefer the 3rd gen to the new Chromatic 4th series, which looks like the older nano versions to me. The games included are fun although granted I hardly see myself playing them... Overall I think the 3rd gen iPod nano is a good buy, and if you can get your hands on one, make sure you do!...

...I have had this IPod a while now, I originally had the IPod mini original one and although that was great when I got it, I started having problems with it (I had it a while). So I updated to this one and I must say I am very impressed. The IPod is small and compact so takes up no room at all, although I have to put it in the tiny pocket of my jeans because it would get lost in the normal pockets haha! The touch sensitive buttons are good, easy to use and you don't have to push down on the buttons too hard and the volume adjust is very easy but that doesn't mean it will suddenly change the volume if you move with it in your pocket, it has a very good locking button at the bottom which is easy to slide but not loose so it won't suddenly change, simply lock the IPod and it stops all the buttons from working so songs won't suddenly...

...After a bike accident in which smashed my old ipod nano 1G and after 3 days in hospital without it to listen to i bought a IPOD NANO 3G Black 8GB, it i great the sound quality is good with new headphones however the ipod earphones are not great and it has a equalizer to match the sort of music you play, and the amount to choose from is huge, the screen is incredibley bright and clear and can be adjusted and when playing video the quality was way better than my digital TV. 8GB is plenty of room for movies and music as the videos are compressed for ipod compatibility. The itunes software does not allow you to do this however free programs are available that do. The ipod it very easy to use and some really cool games which make use of the good screen as well as other features like alarm clock, power off timer, contacts, notes, stopwatch...
