Tesco Direct Next Day Delivery takes a minimum of 4 days!

Advantages: Products appear to be a fair price
Disadvantages: Money is taken instantly. Next day delivery does not happen

...means 3 days off work for 1 lousy parcel. Now HDNL have seriously messed up and UI am seriously out of pocket and angry. There are a few ways their error could have been minimised, and I have suggested these to Tesco and HDNL. 1. When they logged it received in the wrong depot they could have delivered it from there - either by themselves or a reputable currier. 2. They could have phoned me when the error was spotted (1435 Monday), apologised and made compensation as well as offered a timed delivery when they would give me my goods. 3. They should not have told me I would get it today. 4. HDNL should not offer next day delivery which they cannot offer. 5. HDNL should use some intelligence to resolve these matters rather than following their rigid procedures. 6. Tesco should have sent another parcel to me by an alternative...

Tesco Home Delivery Service

Advantages: Very reliable service
Disadvantages: Short shelf life items need us by dates checked

...Background: High Wycombe delivery. I have for the past two years taken advantage of the Tesco home delivery service. For the simple reason I hate going to the supermarket. I always seem to get stressed out by out of control kids or people with massive long lists not looking where they are going. As a result I got more bruises than I did when I played football. What I do now is place an order once a month online and top it up with fruit and vegetables in between direct from the store. The Home Delivery service is an excellent idea for those who struggle to get to the shops for example the elderly, my mum swears by it. It is also really handy for those heavier items; it can be hard work lugging all your bags of shopping around. And also for lazy people like me who just hate shopping. So I like to do it from the comfort of my...

Tesco Direct needs better stock control

Advantages: They are Tesco. Therefore a good stock range, good delivery
Disadvantages: They need better stock control and to learn from online experts like Amazon

...I'm giving a bad review, based on my personal experience and because, being Tesco, I expected better from their fledging child Tesco Direct. To me, there are two versions: one concerning grocery delivery (which is marked highly) and one concerning household items etc (which is usually marked 3.5 t0 4 stars - and I can see why). A bed I ordered a while back, was extremely flimsy (I expected better from Tesco) Items I wanted were out of stock. So when I ordered two couches - and delivery was advised as being just over a week later - I was impressed. (despite being led a merry dance on their online ordering system) Two days before expected delivery, my wife was advised that one couch was out of stock and that our money would be refunded and we should re-order. Oh really? I suspect that this is to keep their records looking good for head...

tesco supermarket incentives give them a go

Advantages: pays rewards quickly & offers are quite generous - competitive selection of goods
Disadvantages: none to speak of really

...Tesco is the main supermarket brand in my area so when I moved here about 18mths ago I became a Tesco customer. Along with instore incentives like the tesco clubcard £1=1 point they also offer exclusive deals online too for insurance such as home/car etc. They often offer additional points to boost voucher values such as double points and I spent £6 on ink the other week and instead of 6 points I got 206 a bonus of 200 or £2 (this pushed my points upto 500 which meant I was sent a £5 voucher that could then be doubled up instore or online at Tesco direct to the value of £10.00, considering you are spending money on shopping and other goods anyway the points/vouchers are an added bonus as generally the prices at tesco are often fairly decent. Tesco offer clubcard points and gift vouchers as incentives to purchase from store, so...

Review of Tesco Direct - Discounts & Voucher Codes

tesco direct

Advantages: convenience
Disadvantages: none really

...The new way to shop. I hated the weekly trudge around the supermarket, I hated the sour looks on shoppers and staff alike, the glazed eyes and the mind numbing boredom of it all. Now there is an easier way- tesco direct the simple and very effective way ofshopping from your pc Simply visit tescodirect.co.uk and sign up. Get the disc sent to you and then select what you want, when you want it and heypresto there it is delivered to your door. Sure there is a £% delivery charge but you simply save that because you havent bought all that useful stuff that you used to buy each week that you never use and wind up throwing away. You save on petrol money geting there and simply it takes a tenth of the time. I heartily recommend this to all and I am well pleased for myself and all those I put on to it are similarly chuffed....

Tesco Jersey

Advantages: Slightly cheaper prices
Disadvantages: Late delivery, customer services who cannot help.

...In 2006 I decided to order media from Tesco Jersey for my daughters Christmas presents. I was well aware that the prices were extremely competetive so I searched for the items I required. After locating them on the website I then checked for availability. It said "Normally despatched within 1 working day" but in brackets (what does this mean). I clicked on the brackets to find that it means products are IN STOCK and will be despatched within 1 working day. Excellent says I and placed my order. The order process was very straight forward and I received a confirmation email within seconds. What could possibly go wrong. EVERYTHING. 3 days later and no delivery. Then I receive and email saying there was a problem with my deilivery as the items were awaiting stock. Strange considering the website said they were in stock when I ordered them...

Itouch - Ipod Heaven

Advantages: Great Memory Capacity, Easy To Use, Fabulous Design, Wi-Fi Capacity, Music Tab Switches
Disadvantages: No Games/Camera/Loudspeaker, Small Screen Keyboard, Needs Wi-Fi For Internet Access

...jump to an artist easier - there's an A-Z index on the right hand side, so if you wanted Jimi Hendrix you can either scroll with your finger to it from the very top, or tap on the J and scroll down a couple of lines to reach Jimi. You can view your album covers easily (if it doesn't recognise an album it simply shows some grey music notes). Everything about the music is top notch. I didn't even realise until I bought it that it had an Itunes direct function. What does this mean? Well, on my old Ipod I had to buy music from Itunes off my laptop then connect up my Ipod to download the music to it. With the Touch, however, you can download a tune direct from the Touch itself and upload it to the laptop afterwards. So if you hear a track you like, you can it buy it instantly and worry about adding it to your laptop's library later...

Review of Apple iPod touch 32 GB

ipod touch review

Advantages: Attractive, easy to use touch screen and applications
Disadvantages: Expensive and the headphones are not very durable

...In my opinion the iPod touch is the best in the MP3 player category. With features such as the applications and album artwork it is much more than just a music playing device. However, I would recommend most music listeners to go for a higher memory option. The headphones are not very durable however, and are expensive to replace. That s one drawback of the iPod, all the accessories and software updates tend to be expensive. With the accessories it may be best to look elsewhere than the official Apple products as there are good alternatives. Unless you want a simple music player, in which case I would recommend the iPod shuffle, I think this easily beats the competition in attractiveness and, like most Apple products, just being cool! Its is not the cheapest in its category, but I think it is without a doubt the best....

Ipod is a classic

Advantages: Plenty of storage
Disadvantages: Battery could do with a updating

...I have had my ipod classic for nearly two years now and ive only ever had one fault with it, and even then apple sent a U.P.S van out with package, i returned it with the driver and the ipod was sent back to me full circle in three days. I have owned the ipod shuffle and the video and i would have to say the classic is the best. The menus are easy to minovure around and the coverflow is a very nice touch. The cover flow enables you to find the album just by remembering what the cover looked like, sound like it cannot be hard to forget a fav track, with 160gig its easily done so you will be thankfull of the cover flow after twenty minutes of searching. The video play back is crisp and smooth and even with such a small screen it is a joy to watch your favourite movies on. All the music and videos, and pictures, are sync easily and with not...

Direct and to no point

Advantages: Ever growing product range ....
Disadvantages: ... that (for me), wasnt in stock

...Mine unfortunately is one of those frustrating experiences that you just put down to plain bad customer services. My wife and I ordered via Tesco Direct a "Fifi and the Flowertots" bedding set for our little girls first bed. Excited, we went to collect from the store after dismantling the cot and putting up her new "princess" four poster single bed. On arriving at the store to collect we were told that the linen wasnt there but the kind lady told us that she would check why. 5 mins passed (5 minutes is enough to wait on the telephone) then 10, 15 and finally 20 minutes passed (I should probably mention at this moment that my wife is pregnant and we were kept waiting at the desk whilst the (otherwise helpful) lady at customer services tried to find out why. Its then i noticed the phone number on the (for want of a better phrase...
