...do all the work selling the books and recruiting more nice people. In my opinion.
Post Aug 2008, a lot of penny pinching from the company's greatest asset (it's people) started to be, I think, the beginnng of the company's downfall.
Paying for the cheapest delivery company that damage the goods or just don't deliver at all, is false economy and did nothing but insult the loyalty of the associates..
Most of the books can be bought elsewhere cheaper - it's called google and when things went out of stock with Mini IQ I always chose to purchase from Amazon or elsewhere in order to maintain good service to my customers and not let them down after Mini IQ's warehouse went out of stock. This was not something I was taught it was something I did to keep customers happy. I even made a profit as the prices on amazon were often lower than...
Advantages: Short and Sweet. Functionable. Disadvantages: Has the same tests, similar to other better books on the market.
...This book is quite concise - it needs to be, many like me are not interested in anything else except for the tests that assess your IQ.
I own several many IQ books so it was only natural for me to compare it with the others. This book is quite suitable for the novice, those who are testing their IQ for fun, however, those who have been through numerous books (e.g. those who are a little obsessed with confirming their high intelligence....) - this may be a little under-challenging as it contains many of the more common IQ tests and questions that appear in a lot of other books.
The score and marking is relatively straight forward to understand, and follows many of the other IQ books.
There are brief discussions on the issue of intelligence, however, this is mainly a 'test' book.
For those who are looking for something more...
Advantages: Excellent sound quality at all frequencies, well built and good looking Disadvantages: Would be imposing in a small room
...Bought my KEF IQ9s a year ago to replace my ageing Mission bookshelf speakers, and am still loving them. They are driven by my Mission Cyrus 2 Amp and are used to play a wide range of music mostly rock and pop both from CD and records . Having tested the IQ range these were undoubtedly the best from bass through mid range to treble, and for sound quality, performing well at low, as well as higher, volumes. I could have saved £150 and bought the next model down but I knowI would have regretted it. They are handsome and stylish floor standing speakers, all of the KEF IQ range are available in a range of three different veneers to suit your style. Apart from extracting them from the packaging (I had to crawl into the box to get them out), they were easy to set up and have been totaly reliable since purchase. A year on - not a single...

Review of KEF IQ9
Advantages: none I can think of Disadvantages: The whole scheme
...I am very pleased that Mini IQ has been reviewed on Ciao because there is a lot to be said about it and this is a good way to say it.
As has been commented on in other reviews, Mini IQ is a party style sales company retailing in books for children. The company itself is a very small operation which buys, stocks, and supplies books. The books are supplied to independent associates who are self employed and sell them on directly to customers.
To encourace associates, Mini IQ offers a 25% discount on all products and also pays sales bonuses to individual associates in relation to personal and team sales volumes. Associates are therefore rewarded for having a large number of personal sales, and a large number of team sales, which correspondingly reflects a large team.
The company has been operating for around 2 years.
I was...
Advantages: profitable for those who got in early enough Disadvantages: its MLM, what more is there to say?
...more than you need Mini IQ.
If you are ever approached by a Mini IQ associate to hold a book party, read on. Equally, if you are ever approached by a Mini IQ associate to join Mini IQ as an associate, read on....
Why not to host a Mini IQ party?
1. because most of the products available in the Mini IQ catalogue are cheaper elsewhere. Those products that are not available elsewhere (so-called "exclusives") are overpriced by virtue of the fact that there is no competitor selling them. In conclusion, go to Waterstones, Blackwells, Amazon or booksfirst.co.uk
2. because, without knowing it, you will be allowing the Mini IQ company to take advantage of the Mini IQ associate who presents at the party. Yes - that's right - taking advantage. For more information on this, see "Why not to become a Mini IQ Associate" below.
3. because...
Advantages: excellent TFT screen and touchsmart ability Disadvantages: dodgy keyboard
...Having read the review of this HP TouchSmart IQ770 I was doubting whether or not to buy it. However I am very glad that I did, I absolutely love it This PC has a lot going for it, it is very stylish and modern looking, excellent 19" TFT screen which can be moved up and down to suit most peoples height. The keyboard can be slotted just under the pc into its own niche which, if you need it, gives plenty of space on your desk.
The keyboard and mouse are both wireless and you have to configure them to pc when you first set up. I must admit the keyboard can be a bit tempremental in that it will often not type the key you hit, or will type it twice, but must also that as the keyboard is quite small, it is sometimes down to me as I hit the wrong key. I also feel that the keyboard needs to "warm up" before it will start to behave...
Advantages: great idea, funny bits Disadvantages: none
...Idiocracy is a film of a different kind. You can say it's a science fiction, fantasy or comedy. It doesn't really fit into any one of these categories nicely and perhaps that's for the best. But one thing's for sure - this film (or at least its concept) is truly excellent.
the BASICS
Idiocracy presents a future where instead of human beings super clever and safe-improving, they all have some kind of learning difficulties and have a low IQ. The director is Mike Judge, and the film stars Luke Wilson and Maya Rudolph as the main characters.
the PLOT
Corporal Joe Bauers (Luke Wilson) had absolutely median IQ (100), height and weight. He had no family and was thus considered disposable by the US Army. At the start of the film he was working at the Army library but was forcibly enrolled into a research programme where he had to...

Review of Idiocracy (DVD)
Advantages: Great family humour Disadvantages: none for me but maybe not to every ones taste
...'Thermoman' from the planet Ultron.
He comes across as a bit of a fool as he stumbles around in his everyday life before changing into his cape and boots to save the world.
Thermoman has many 'special' abilities, including being able to freeze things with his breath, flying, speed, x-ray vision and ultra strength, plus a strange ability to 'smell' trouble as it is happening. (think superman with a low I.Q. and you've got Thermoman).
* Janet Dawkins/Sunday (played by Emily Joyce) is a nurse who becomes the unfortunate girlfriend to Thermoman, trying to stay in control as the super hero stumbles around in his stupid way. She is one of few who actually know the true identity of the caped hero.
* Dr Piers Crispin (played by Hugh Dennis) is the very arrogant and sometimes annoying doctor at the Northolt health centre, but his part as...
Advantages: Very Sleek, Full Of Extras And No Unsightly Wiring Everywhere Disadvantages: Inefficient Cooling Due To Sleek Case, Possible unreliability Due To High Operating Temperatures
Advantages: Excellent Value, keeps you sharp, challenging Disadvantages: Not for the stressed or overtired!
...and memory and hopefully develop resistance against decline in later life.
My own theory is that the older you get the more your brain becomes choked up by clutter, commitments and stress!
Anyway, to achieve its aim of increasing your IQ over time, More Brain Training takes you through a series of exercises at regular intervals - preferably everyday. Results are recorded and displayed on graphs so that you can view your improvements or in my case - at times - considerable decline. The game will store details and exercise records for up to four different people, so you can compare results with family and friends.
CONSOLE REQUIREMENTS AND PURCHASING
