There is also spiderman 3D where you sit in a car of 12 and you are in a car/simulator and you go through the streets of New York and you see evil villains in 3D and you see spiderman attacking them in 3D. There is also Bluto's river barges water ride, where you sit in a round boat of 8 seats and you go through a wild water ride with splashes, dips and drops...

Three cheers for Adventure Island

Advantages: Fun for all, a good day out, free admission
Disadvantages: Wristband a little pricey, not like the big theme parks

...I live close to Southend-on-Sea so have visited Adventure Island a fair few times. Adventure Island (formerly Peter Pans Playground) is situated on Southend sea front. You do not have to pay a fee to enter Adventure Island but you do have to pay for all the rides and attractions. This is a really good idea, although you can get some riff raff that hang around inside because they haven't got anything better to do! You can purchase wristbands which enable you to use the rides, unlimited, all day. If you book them online at the Adventure Island website you get them cheaper. The prices are as follows: Mini bands (for children under 1 metre tall) - £7.00 off peak and £10.00 peak - which run through the summer holidays. Online price: £6.50 off peak and £8.50 peak. ...This is my last of my reviews of American theme parks, and I've saved the best park for last. Islands of Adventure (IoA) is part of the Universal Studios group and was built around 12 years ago (they were just building it the last time I had been to Universal). I was in Orlando with 3 friends so we were keen on theme parks with more exciting rides to offer and IoA did not disappoint. GETTING THERE: IoA is part of the same park complex that holds Universal Studios. As with most Orlando attractions it is fairly well signposted. You just need to get onto the I4, the main road through Orlando, and it is signposted off this. There is a ridiculous amount of parking available. Take a trip to Sunny Southend! (Adventure Island)

Advantages: Free admission, no long queues, fun, good rides
Disadvantages: Not massive and no Alton Towers

...Adventure Island Adventure Island is a theme park on Southend seafront and is next to the world famous pier which is the longest pleasure pier in the world. Adventure Island used to be called Peter Pans and is the biggest free admission park in Britain. Advantages: Beautiful and unspoilt.

...Islands of Adventure is the sister park to Universal Studios and is found on International Drive in Florida. I was staying at the Comfort Inn during my trip and this offered freee shuttles to Universal/Islands Of Adventure which I took full advantage of. I had purchased the 5-park flexi ticket before travelling through work which was valid for 14 days from first date of use and cost us both £115.00 this is valid at Universal, Islands of Adventure, Busch Gardens, Sea World and Wet'n'Wild. I recommend that you get the tickets before you travel as they can be expensive on the gate, but if you do oyur research as to how busy the parks are at certain times of the year then you will know which ticket is suitable, I personally would only opt for the 7 day ticket when I visit next as Universal and Islands Of Adventure can be done in two days...
