SPEEDING CAN AND DOES KILL!

...and then speeds up and then slows. Could it be that people are speeding between the cameras and is this stop start action a little dangerous? There's the super dooper video camera which can catch you speeding from a mile away. How many people are actually involved in its operation and administration? Wouldn't this manpower be better placed on the road hunting for dangerous drivers? Many a time I'm passed on the road by baseball cap wearing teenage boys in souped up Ford Fiestas, fuelled on testosterone. They zoom past on the opposite side of the road with no regard for anyone coming in the opposite direction. Many an accident where we live involves these boys, probably bored of the country life, seeking a thrill. Many have no tax or insurance as costs are so extortionate for any one their age. NFS Carbon does it live up to its name?

Advantages: Quite addictive

...Need for speed carbon is a great street racing game. It is not the best of the need for speed collection, however it is very good as the graphics are excellent and the music choice is ok. One thing need for speed carbon does have is autosculpt which is a revolutionary way of sculpting your car in various ways, if you know how to use it as it is very difficult, annoying and frustrating. The overall game is quite good as the police are still chasing you and the races are about the same difficulty as need for speed most wanted. The idea of carbon is to choose a tier of car whether it be muscle, tuner or exotic, and then win races and take over other peoples territory and therefore dominating the map. Pump it up and show the boys how sexy you are!

Advantages: Makes you feel great, wicked soundtrack.
Disadvantages: If you are quite unfit you will have to stop halfway and rest!!!

...I was desperate to keep myself nice and fit after i had my son 13 months ago. I had been doing fitness dvds before but found them to be disapointing. Now ive gotta say, i love dance music so when my mate told me about this dvd i was very interested. When i go out im the first one dancing on the podium or the stage. I love it!!! So i borrowed pump it up to see what it was like and then if i liked it i would buy it. You know, kinda like try before you buy. I looked at the case and thought this could be good as it is a ministry of sound product. Now, if you liked the number 1 song "call on me" by Eric Prydz then, you will enjoy this dvd as it is presented by the very stars in the video. We all know that you have much more chance of walking away from a shunt at 30mph than you have at 80mph. That’s only common sense. What is being asked is if the present speed limit of 70mph at present in force on our motorways (yes, it applies in Ireland too) is a realistic one, and if it saves lives by preventing accidents. ~ ~ My own immediate gut reaction is that the limit is not realistic given the highly maintained cars and vehicles that are the norm in today’s society. Advantages: It is a great way of getting varying types of physical exercise into your daily routine.
