It puts a malevolent clown (given demented life by a powdered, red-nosed Tim Curry) front and center, as King's fat novel gets the TV-movie treatment. Even at three hours plus, the action is condensed, but an engaging Stand by Me vibe prevails for much of the running time. The seven main characters, as adolescents, conquered a force of pure evil in their Maine hometown. Now, the cackling Pennywise is back, and they must come home to fight him--or, should we say, It--again. Admitting the TV-movie trappings and sometimes hysterical performances, this is a genuinely gripping thriller. This is an early dvd release and came at a time when extras weren't lavished on a lot of dvd's This one comes with a trailer, filmographies and an audio commentary. The audio track is very relaxed and features mainly Director James L Brooks. But there are also appearances from Helen Hunt, Greg Kinnear and Jack himself. It's hard to tell if they are in...

Whip it!
Advantages: Roller Derby looks awesome
Disadvantages: I didn't like the romance part
...Whip It is a teen coming of age/ comedy/ sports film that was released in April 2010 in the UK. It is based on a book by Shauna Cross (who also wrote the screenplay) called Derby Girl. The film is rated 12A due to crude and strong language, violence and minor scenes of a sexual nature and it has a run time of 111 minutes.
