IT'S A DVD REVIEW, CHARLIE BROWN

Disadvantages: None. Zilch.

...Firstly I should explain that I may be slightly bias towards this DVD as I am a massive snoopy fan; we're talking 'stay away from that crazy snoopy lady kids!' style fanatic. I had a beagle when I was very young and ever since have been crazy about all beagles but especially Snoopy. My Snoopy collection is so enormous it's the stuff of legend (Okay I may be starting to exaggerate a teensy bit here). Back to the review.... The front of the DVD case looks exactly like the picture shown, vibrant red and hard to miss! The back has a short explanation of the two classic peanuts programmes which are on the disc. The first "IT'S THE EASTER BEAGLE, CHARLIE BROWN" is a short piece of film first shown in 1974. This programme shows the peanuts gang preparing for Easter; well apart from Linus who insists that the 'Easter Beagle' will appear...

...in only the way he can. one woman asks Melvin how he writes women so well in his books. He replies "I think of a man and then I take away reason and accountability!". Another jibe is to his gay neighbour returning after his hospital stay. "Don't worry pal-you'll be on your knees in no time!". This is a comedy you can watch over and over and it doesn't get tiring. The romantic element is also nice and underplayed throughout. On Region 2 dvd the film is presented in 1.85:1 widescreen. The film is also anamorphically enhanced for widescreen tv's. Picture quailty is very sharp and pretty much free of any blemishes. Soundwise we get Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 mixes. Stick It On

Advantages: Snappy pacing and nicely shot action.
Disadvantages: Cliches aplenty and total predictability.

Bring it on baby!!!!!!

Advantages: soooooo funny!!!
Disadvantages: you end up talking like an american!

...Being a respectable professional adult I watch grown up programmes of course; yeah right. One of my favourite all time movies has to be Bring it on, a very silly film about the lives and loves of Rancho Carne High School Cheerleaders that and the fact that it stars Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Dushku meant that I HAD to watch it!!! Pump It Up - A hard but fun workout

Advantages: Hard workout, good music
Disadvantages: Tiring!

...I, a lot of girls go on endless diets and fitness regimes. I have purchased and completed many fitness DVDS. This DVD is my favourite fitness DVD I have ever bought or done. The DVD was brought out by the ministry of sound back in 2004, after the huge single Call On Me (Eric Prydz), which had a music video showing people working out. The idea of the video is bringing you club music to do a dance workout too. I am a big fan of dance music and so this was very appealing to me. I find many other fitness DVDS have music I do not know and this makes them very boring. The DVD had five sections to the workout. The first section is the warm up, known as heat. This is a good started section as it introduces you to the workout gently combining some simple aerobic moves with some stretches. The second section is the dance it out...

Advantages: Somewhat original story, original concept, great performances, touching, makes you think
Disadvantages: A bit over sentimental for some (you'll need to be armed with tissues!)

It's Not Called Gym-Nice-Sticks

Advantages: Lots of gym!
Disadvantages: Not a lot of (believable) story

...~~ Nasty Gym Sticks ~~ If you're a gymnastics buff, you're probably well aware of the other gym films out there. There's Perfect Body (which only ever made it onto Region 1 DVD) and the everso similar Little Girls In Pretty Boxes (which languishes on Channel 5 / the Hallmark Channel and never got its deserved DVD release). There's a dubious one called American Anthem from the mid 1980s that was out on VHS. If you're willing to expand the gym theme to tumbling and dancing, there's also Sugar and Spice, and the 4 Bring It Ons (the latest was released on Boxing Day 2007), but these are cheerleading themed rather than "proper" gym. For a sport with such a huge fan base you'd think there would be a market for more gym films, especially of the Mary Kate and Ashley style straight-to-DVD variety, but that's all there is really that I (and...

On the momentum DVD there are no special features, although there are a few trailers including one for National Lampoons Cattle Call, a movie that promises similar saucy fun to Gettin It. BRRRRR, It's Cold in here!! Ice ice

Advantages: Well shot, well acted and hillarious insite into Cheerleading
