He makes some significant changes and comes up with the goods. He may have lost fans along the way (some who I expect will have sided with the time of thing that DMX offered at the time for its darkness) but I saw the alterations as improvements....

Pitiful and False; Ja Rule's faux-gangsta journal

Advantages: Laughing at Ja Rule making a fool of himself on the microphone over and over...

...Since his debut with Venni, Vitti, Vicci in 1998, Ja Rule has been a nasty, cancer tumor on the breast of hip-hop music. Since then, his idiotic attempt at having street credibility mixed with sappy, poppy love songs have made him the biggest hypocrit that hip-hop has to offer. You think thats bad? Oh, it gets worse. Review of Blood In My Eye - Ja Rule

Ja Rule in my opinion.

Advantages: Easy to read, clear and colourful, to the point, good use of background beats.
Disadvantages: cameo rapper, violent, promotes gun violence, uses rivals children in arguements.

...Ja Rule's albums usually consist of many promotions of gun violence, sex and drugs. I do not think that this is a good example to set to children or young people or just to the public in general. In Ja Rule's notorious "Eminem diss", He mentions the name of Eminem's daughter Halie-Jaide. I strongly disagree with this type of music as it is unfair towards the child caught in the cross-fire and again does not set a good example and encourages people to use others families during arguments. I also think that in almost every song in Ja Rule's album's, he uses other rapper's to back up his vocals and does not seem to produce his songs alone. On contrast, Ja Rule can actually produce some decent lyrics when not promoting gun violence, sex, drugs and using others personal problems during a song. He uses good beats on some tracks that...

Ja rule, one of the most talented rappers ever.

Advantages: Brilliant husky voice, great rapper, good looks with a very talented record label.

A New Ja Rule Emerges In Pain Is Love

Advantages: Ja Rule's scratchy vocals are neutralized by feminine backing vocals.
Disadvantages: Fans of Venni Vetti Vecci will be gravely disappointed. Ja Rule tries to represent the hip hop spectrum in one album.Great features but "Pop Rap" is best appreciated in small doses!

Who want some of the Rule baby?

Advantages: A great mix of tunes, the collaberations
Disadvantages: Sometimes tries a bit too hard to be 'gangsta'

...Following the platinum sucess of Ja Rule's first album, Venni Vetti Vicci, he release the Rule 3:36 album in October 2000 and started his crossover into the commercial success he now knows well. Da Rule is Back And Clapping

Advantages: Great beats, Ja Rule Goes back to the roots of 'Venni Vetti Vecci?
Disadvantages: None really few week songs the album is tooo short not enought tracks

...This album just came of a battle or beef with 50 cent. (Also with Eminem, Dr Dre and DMX) Due to that battle of words with 50 cent Ja had lost some of his hip-hop creditability. People did begin to see his as a leech using Tupac to get some fame and recognition for his hip Hop music. But this album is different as he lost the R&B sounds that he has been famous for to make an album like his first one. This album goes back to the style of 'Venni Vetti Vecci? and it makes this a good album. The more street style with Ja rules unique voice style makes this a worthy album. Much better than the last temptation and pain is love, which went with the more R&B style. Ja Rule uses this album as a platform to diss Eminem, Dr Dre, DMX, G Unit 50 Cent.
