My jacuzzi night

.... I hope this didn't have anything to do with us arriving later than planned. We were instantly asked to fill in the registration card, stating our car registration number etc, and given our key. As we were staying in the Lodge building, we had a separate key to let ourselves into the main building as well as our room. (Very handy for a late return to the hotel should we wanted that). Our case was swiftly taken from us and we were taken to our room by another very friendly member of staff. My partner had told me he'd specifically asked for a room with a Jacuzzi bath as it had been recommended to him by a friend. The hotel comprises of six suites which can include their own lounge rooms attached. Needless to say we couldn't afford these rooms as they charged top prices. ...Last summer I enjoyed a weekend break at CenterParcs in Elveden Forest. This was a birthday suprise for my friend and I, (we share the same birthday), and our husbands' booked it as a present (the kids stayed at home!) ...romantic! Throughout the time staff were helpful and quick to help. A sheet was always pinned up giving you some clues about the weather for the next 5 days. As Cyprus has not had rain for 'some years', it was always hot. Rooms: The hotel has 201 rooms. Most are your typical room with bed and TV in and an air con unit to keep things cool. Certainly the rear rooms all have sea views. However, there is a seperate area, on the ground level, where the area contains about six plush (superior) rooms (one is the honeymoon suite). The rooms are double the size of the other rooms and, for the plush six rooms, they have a balcony. These six also have a jacuzzi on them. FAB!! Great Mills Jacuzzi Bathroom Suite

Advantages: Good value for money - nice looking bathroom suite

...We recently purchased a lovely jacuzzi bathroom suite from a Great Mills DIY store. As Great Mills don't stock the bathrooms, they pass your details on to the relevant bathroom supplier (in our case 'Jacuzzi UK'), who then deliver the suite to you. Having received our bathroom on the date as promised, we were very pleased. My husband went ahead and fitted the bathroom whilst I was at work (to suprise me when I got home) - and boy was I suprised! Unfortunately, although my husband didn't notice it, I saw that the vanity unit doors didn't match the ones we had ordered (or the rest of the suite), and that the handle was gold when it should have been chrome, so phoned the supplier straight away. Bolton last drop village

Advantages: Not far from Bolton retail park, infinity pool, facitlies are excellent
Disadvantages: staff weren't as helpful as other hotels

...massive and the 4 poster bed looked amazing. We decided to try their leisure facitlies out, a pool, a jacuzzi with an infinity pool, a gym and 4 heat rooms. One was a sauna, one a steam room, an aromotherapy room and a lights room (can't remember what the actual name was). The jacuzzi was lovely and warm and then you swam through a plastic door and out into the cold to the infinity pool. It was so strange swimming from the warmth of inside into the outside. The pool was warm but your head was cold. The view was amazing over Pendle hill. This definately had the wow factor! We went for tea to the pub on site and when we arrived we were told it wasn't open on a sunday. So the choices were a la carte or go out, we found a nice pub about 10 minutes away in the car. Doxford Hall - a rare treasure

Advantages: Unique building, service, and atmosphere

...Stayed here for a wedding anniversary treat in March. We paid around £200 for one night DB&B in a superior room, but cheaper rooms and special deals are often available. Greeted warmly and efficeintly on arrival and personally shown to our room by the very friendly receptionist. Room was beautifully decorated and filled with hand made furniture. Bathroom of a very high standard and all fittings were immaculate. Bed was extremely comfortable. This newly refurbished building has been finished to incredibly high standards of decoration and craftsmanship over the past few years. Food is superb, with excellent ambience and service in the restaurant. There is a swimming pool area in the basement, with 2 jacuzzis, but the main pool was too cold when we stayed. Only potential downside are the newly fitted solid wood floors, which look beautiful...

...now had a jacuzzi. We thought that this was a polite thing to offer us and decided not to make a complaint about the man being rude. When we got up to our room we were really pleased with it, we had excactly what we had paid for, however the corridoors on the way down smelt like a mixture of senior people and public toliets. This put us off abit. Overall we had a good time at the hotel and these were our only complaints. The beer was cheap and the food and room was acceptable. The only problem was the receptionist, the window not locking in the room and the housekeeper walking into our room and bathroom even though i said not to, to find my boyfriend in his boxers!!!...

Nightmare of a hotel

Disadvantages: John the owner is rude, as i have found out by his emails. He just does not care.

...It was our 25th wedding anniversary, so we booked the Jacuzzi room 8. We paid more for this room as we were going to spend a bit of time in there enjoying the room. First day there we went into the bar and ordered a bottle of wine to take up to our room. That when the person behind the bar told us not drinks to be taken to the bedrooms, then he showed me a table that some other guest had damaged. Left used towels in bath so they would change them for next day. When we came back they had only fold the dirty towels back up, and put them for us to use again. Breakfast they asked what we wanted, to which my wife reply what choice is there. The girl replied full breakfast, that?s it. She also asked for brown toast, and told only white toast. This should not be a 4 star hotel, and I would not recommend anyone staying here....

...I have just returned from a weekend Spa Break at the Park Royal as a birthday treat for my wife that was booked through Spabreaks.com and felt the need to say how wonderful the whole experience was. All the staff were friendly, helpful & courteous, ensuring all our needs were met during our short stay. The room itself contained all the facilities required (internet, trouser press, iron, TV) and was comfortable, clean and well maintained with a modern bathroom suite. The lesuire facilities were excellent and we spent much time in the jacuzzi, pool, sauna and heated loungers. Unfortunately the steam room and experience shower were out of use during our stay. The Spa itself was very tranquil. The hour long massage was blissful and unfortunately the time passed too quickly. My wife had a half hour massage and mini pedicure with she...

Go in the summer !

Advantages: very high up
Disadvantages: expensive

...I don't know about the skiing, but the location is fantastic with high mountains all around and a choice of many runs. We went in the summer for the walking and the scenery is stunning. There are lifts up to the Hohe Mutt and plenty of facilities in the town. The road in is good, but a long drive. The valley is steep in places. The Eidelweiss and Gurgl is a wonderfull hotel with a pool and jacuzzi overlooking the mountains. The food is excellent but the wine is expensive. The town is small but lively, we went to an excellent folk evening....
