Advantages: complimentary perfumes which both smell lovely Disadvantages: none
...Jaipurperfume is by the Boucheron design house and is a fruity floral. Jaipur Saphir is also by Boucheron and is a white floral. Oddly enough Ciao have the name of one yet the image is of the other. As I have both of these perfumes I will review the two of them. Each one is attractive although they are quite different.
Boucheron
~~~~~~~~~~
Founded in 1858, Boucheron are well established and distinguished French jewellers: particularly well known for Art Nouveau nature inspired pieces, they are also thought to be the first to create the wristwatch and the first to create white jewellery (diamonds set-in platinum). Boucheron have always managed to keep up with the times never becoming staid or old fashioned. Boucheron has created perfumes since 1988
Review of Boucheron Jaipur
Advantages: Top quality IPA with a wonderful hoppy flavour Disadvantages: More than 6 pints and you run out of superlatives!
...My first experience of Jaipur IPA was in March 2007. I was holidaying in a cottage in the Peak District and decided to try a pint in the village local. I do have a penchant for hoppy beers and on taking my first sip realised that here was something special. Several pints later I trudged back down the lane in the snow to the cottage, already looking forward to returning to the same establishment the following evening. That following evening as the barman poured my first pint of Jaipur I wondered whether it would be as superb as my first encounter the previous night as things generally tend to impress most on first visit - I wasn't dissappointed! I asked the barman about the brewery and he told me that the Thornbridge Brewery was in fact only 1/2 mile away in the next village. The next morning I was on to a well-known directory enquiries...
Review of Jaipur IPA
Advantages: Smells Very Distinctive, Long Lasting, Beautiful Bottle, Very Feminine Disadvantages: May be too sweet and floral for some
...One of my favourite things to treat myself to is perfume and those who have read my earlier reviews will know that I am a self confessed perfume addict. I love the different varieties you can buy all with their own distinctive scents and pretty bottles. I have worked hard at my perfume addiction though and have really cut back on the amount that I buy ? these days I adopt a one in one out rule as I started getting far too many bottles of half used fragrances sat in my wardrobe (any perfume lover knows that you keep bottles out of daylight to keep them smelling fresh).
Before we went on honeymoon I used up a couple of bottles of perfume and so I decided to treat myself to something new rather than buy a replacement for the fragrances that I just finished from the duty free shop at the airport. I had already been and tested a few...
Advantages: Light and delicate scent, sexy Disadvantages: Slightly expensive
...If you've already read my Vera Wang Princess Satiny Body Lotion review, you will know I recieved this perfume along with the gift set from my boyfriend for my Birthday last November. And as promised, I said I would write a review about the Vera Wang Princess perfume, so here I am now.
Vera Wang, if you haven't heard of her, is a lady from New York. At frist she was an editor for Vogue magazine,then going on to do other things. She started designing dresses for celebrities and now owns her own Wedding Dress collection. She has her own Vera Wang accessorie collection and more importantly her own fragrance collection, including more scents than just the Princess collection.
As the story goes, Vera Wang Princess collection is a new spirit in fragrance, inspired by a modern-day princess. Confident, indipendent, with a total zest...
Advantages: beautiful light smell! Disadvantages: Hard to find, and a little expensive!
...Escada Ibiza Hippie
I got this perfume in a Collector?s Edition pack of 5 Escada Perfumes; Island kiss, Rockin? Rio, Pacific Paradise, Sunset Heat and Ibiza Hippie.
I first heard of Escada when I bought Pacific Paradise on the Ferry on the way to Italy, from then on the smell always reminded me of that holiday, and became one of my favourite perfumes. So when I saw this pack for £12.50 for 5 small bottles (4ml each), I just had to buy them to try them all, so I could choose my favourite one!
And I must say they were all delicious! With such strong fruity smells which stuck around all day, my only problem was there wasn?t enough of it in the bottles, and I tended to use half a bottle each time I used it!
But it gave me a great experience of using them all so I could choose which ones I wanted in larger bottles rather than...
Advantages: fineness,freshness,not expensive Disadvantages: not very persisitent
...Ever since I received this perfume as a gift, I considered it a great fragrance for a great occasion. It is as if I smelled a sapphire!
It was a great day in Paris, the city of perfumes. I had had smelled so many perfumes, with different aromas, hundreds of brands. Testing more perfumes at once seemed to be a tough job. You come to a point when youre brain creates a mixture of smells and you can't distuinguish them anymore.
The best way to identify the proper perfume is to first identify the features of the product. If you prefer a mellow smell, you should find out first which perfumes match with your preference.
I have many great perfumes, but I consider Boucheron Jaipur Saphir the most interesting, fine and special. It is not very strong and its mellow odour seems to be just perfect for a summer day.
Advantages: A very interesting film, sticks closely to the book. Disadvantages: Shocking images.
... PERFUME
Released in 2006, and directed by Tom Tykwer Perfume is a harrowing tale of the Drama genre. The story is taken from the book 'Perfume' written by Patrick Suskind.
Synopsis
Set in 18th Century France in a small sleepy town a mother gives birth to Jean-Baptiste Grenouille. She immediately abandons him in the Parisian fish market, under a filthy market stall rife with rats and the stench of fish. Immediately Jean-Baptiste is enveloped in a putrid smell of the markets wares of rotting meat, maggots, and old food, which are presented to us in a series of snapshots. The child sniffs the air, and these are the first smells his young highly developed olfactory senses are greeted by. The mother is hung for her crime of child abandonment, and the story of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille begins...
Advantages: Believable, easy to fall into the world of the film. Disadvantages: unrealistic, and perhaps silly ending.
...First thoughts.
Taken from the book entitled “perfume” by Patrick Suskind, Perfume - The Story Of A Murderer from first impressions sounded like a good movie to watch, and these first impressions wasn’t wrong.
I hadn’t read the book before, or even heard of the book before I saw the film, however from what I have heard about the book, the film seems to follow the book really well.
From the title “Perfume - The Story Of A Murderer”, I got the clear impression that this movie was about perfume and murders, which is basically true.
From the cover of the DVD you would think that this DVD is older than it is, this is because the actor and actress in the cover look, and are meant to look from the 18th century, as this is what age the film is set in, however the film was released in 2006 which means...
Advantages: Amazing Architecture, Great Silver Stuff and Artifacts, Excellent Cultural Heritage, Hospitable People, Great Food Disadvantages: Pathetic Traffic, Pollution and Crowd in the Old City, Watch out for a rare Stray Buffalo
...My association with Jaipur goes back a long way. It's incredible that after my first visit in the 1991, i still returned to the city in 1993 as the venue of my first employment. And my customers at the age of 21 were hardcore Indian Bureaucrats. It was an amazing experience and I'll let it remain as a small piece of my history unless you all request for details.
Coming back to "Jaipur". My recent visit to the city was in 2001, with my wife on a second honeymoon of sorts. With three days at hand, invitation from a friend and Jaipur only 250 kilometers (that is from New Delhi), I zipped in my Daewoo Cielo to arrive in the town in all off 3.5 hours. Needless to say the new Toll Highway was a delight to drive on. Jaipur is well connected with Rail and regular flights from all major International Airports in India. It's really hot in Summers...
Review of Jaipur (India)
Advantages: A nice set for someone else's child! Disadvantages: Not my idea of a young girls set!
...Ok I am officially a horrible person!
Every year we (myself, my daughter, her school friends and there parents), attend the Easter bingo at her school.
This year was no different! A group of us went and as usual commandeered a table and settled down to a fun night!
During the final throws of the evening (the raffle!), my friends daughter and my daughters best friend Courtney handed me her perfume to smell, (these bloody kids are more like teenagers, scary considering they are only 7!), I pulled at the lid thinking that was the way it opened, only to be told it was a screw lid, about five seconds after I had snapped the top of the bottle off!
I felt so bad about it, especially when the girls eyes watered slightly, that I promised to buy a replacement bottle?. Hence this review!
The product I will now review is ?Bratz...
