Juanes - La Vida.... Es Un Ratico

Advantages: every song
Disadvantages: takes a few listens

...upbeat, are more latin, vallenato, cumbia, and even (according to the man himself) mapalé-influenced, such as Gotas de Agua Dulce, Tres, and Bailala, as Juanes is no longer trying to imitate american or british rock in his own language, but firmly a Colombian superstar. After seeing this man live in concert, I cannot fail to, at least briefly mention the songs Clase de Amor, No Creo En El Jamas, and Bandera de Manos, all which went down a storm with the crowd, and my personal favourite on the night (very surprisingly for me, as I had after a couple of listens, dismissed it as 'the filler'), the anthemic Difícil. (Quiero gritaaaaaaaaaaaar just sounds brilliant live). Learn Spanish. Go to Colombia. See this guy in concert. If you can't do all those, at least buy this!...

I should point out too that it can make both a small and medium sized loaf with full instructions on both.It comes with a measuring cup and spoon,which is all you need to measure all ingredients.The ingredients needed for most recipies are all basic household items,and the breadmaker can be used just to make dough mixes for pizza bases etc.And the controls are clear and uncomplicated. You can buy these great gadgets at almost all electrical retailers, such as comet,curries etc, and such places as argos and index all being fairly competative on price. So if you enjoy a nice fresh loaf and feel like treating yourself to a new gadget then try this out.It is not hard work and will make you no.1 in the kitchen :)...

PRAGUE AUGUST 2004

Advantages: beatiful city,not too big for walking everywhere
Disadvantages: heat in august

...not going to go into the sights etc too much here but have a look at the prague experience website mentioned above you get many details of whats there and tours etc on there also try http://www.talkingcities.co.uk for a lot of detail about bars, restaurants etc. Food generally is fine but if you want english breakfast you will pay quite a bit for it. Personally we found "jama the hollow" not far from wenceslas square on v jama the best value also a nice pub with cheap beer. One thing in Prague like most cities is that if you eat and drink in the main streets you will pay a lot more than the back streets so explore and get the benefit. Overall a great place to go, it does get very crowded but you can find space and if you go in summer dont forget the aircon....

Spud-u-like? Not really!

Advantages: Two excellent tourist attractions - caves and castle
Disadvantages: Little provision for independent tourists

...the temptation to drag them outside, point to the sign and ask why they would have it if there was no information to be had. Fortunately I had scribbled down some directions from an on-line map I had found but neglected to print out, it just would have been nice to have a map as one often finds interesting places to visit that weren't listed in the guidebook. We found our accommodation without a problem and were greeted by the teenage daughter of the family who showed us our room and gave us a leaflet about the caves and Predjama Castle. We asked how far it was to the Castle and she told us that it was a long walk but there might be a tourist road train operating between the Caves and the Castle. Review of Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous

Dom's Dreamy Experience.

Advantages: It smells of flowers
Disadvantages: - which is fine until he hits school!

..., but that fades to release the tea tree smell. When I had finished, I rubbed the little that was left into my hands, put his jamas on him and put him to bed. Half an hour later, my hands felt soft, and this morning, Dom wasn't as red as usual. I'll update in a couple of weeks to let you know how his eczema is going on. Somehow, I don't think the tub will last as long as they say - I have a little itchy spot on the back of my hand ........ Update 10/09/02 I'm very impressed. Dom's skin in less scaly and less red than it has been in a long time. It is by no means perfect, but we have only been using the stuff for 10 days or so, and even then not every night. The prescribed creams are going back to the chemists for disposal....
