Blowing through the JASMIN of my mind

...After a long, and I mean LONG, drive through Serbia, we eventually arrived in the outskirts of Sofia just as darkness began to descend. A bit of a blessing really, Picturesque it ain't. Our hotel was just off the ring road...bit of a misnomer really. Oh, it rings the city true enough, but road seems like a far-fetched description of the pot-holed suicide-run we found ourselves bumping and grinding along on. Not a problem. We had prebooked the Jasmin Hotel and all we had to do was follow the instructions I had printed off with the booking confirmation...only I hadn't. After several abortive forays off the 'ring road', things were looking pretty desperate but at last we got the right turn-off and found our digs. Rubies and Jasmine

...I am concentrating this review however on the Ruby Jasmine fragrance. I had been using the Black Diamond and Lotus flower but I found the smell was a bit too overpowering for me so I decided to try another variety. The bottle was packaged amazingly and did look really nice. You could tell it was Lenor as the name was written on it and it did look a bit like their other products but I would say the bottle was designed more like an upmarket perfume bottle. The Ruby Jasmine bottle has a lovely picture of what I assume to be a white jasmine flower on the front with a lovely big ruby next to it sparkling away! The bottle was a gorgeous ruby red colour and an almost jewel looking colour to it. The tag line of this softener says it is meant to be elegant and sophisticated. Well, going by the bottle, this was definitely true to start with...

...This cream comes in a tube and initially seems quite expensive (when I bought my last tube it cost £17). It states that it is for use on chapped or weather burned skin ? basically for use anywhere on the body. It is a brilliant lip salve ? it may seem expensive but I can?t remember the last time I bought a tube ? it must be at least 2 years ago. The cream never goes off and lasts for ages as you only need to use the tiniest amount each time. Another thing it is very good for is when you have a sore red nose during a cold. It soothes and fixes dry skin extremely quickly and in my mind is great value for money....

...Before I bought Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream I had read about it in magazines with lots of Celebrities citing it as one of there "Must have" beauty products. As ever my inquisitive nature took over and I decided to invest in a tube to find out what I have been missing. So of I went to my local Debenhams and asked the Beauty Advisor for a tube of this recommended cream. The Cream cost me £18 for a 50ml tube. I know this is also available at other department stores so it may be possible to buy this cheaper. The eight hour cream comes in an off white box with the Elizabeth Arden logo on the front.
