JBL CONTROL 1 REVIEW

Advantages: Excellent sound for an excellent price! Solid build, 100 watts RMS
Disadvantages: None for the price!

...I have owned 2 pairs of JBL Control 1 speakers and they have never let me down! The first pair I owned I gave to my dad as he liked the sound so much! These are bookshelf speakers and measure (H x W x D) 227 x 130 x 140 mm. They can be mounted on a stand, on a shelf or you can also order the wall brackets from jbl. For the size they have an excellent sound, warm solid bass with crisp mid and treble. They are 100 watts RMS and can really handle some power. The speaker is 2 way, comprising of a 4" bass woofer and a 1/2" titanium laminate dome tweeter. These speakers also feature a front mounted bass port. When you play the speakers loud its is astonishing the amount of air that is forced out of the bass ports! JBL 1xtreme

Advantages: Great sound, pro speakers
Disadvantages: A bit small

Sixaxis controller

Advantages: Motion control, blutooth

The controller is extreamly suffisticated as well as all of the normal buttons which are used for conventional gameplay it also contains a gyroscope which monitors its position and movements in six axis, clever hey. The sxiaxis motion control offers a new way to play games and makes things more interesting and more challenging. For example when playing a racing game with a friend and we get a little bored we may play a game where we just use the motion control which makes it alot more challenging and adds alot of amusement. Great for installations!

Advantages: Price, Sound Quality, Quality Brand, Size.
Disadvantages: Harsh Mid Frequencies.

...I've just finished installing 2 pairs of these speakers with the JBL Control SB2 Sub Bass Speaker. The single cone Sub is designed to drive 2 pairs of top speakers in stereo. Having switched the system on for the first time today and got some music running through it I was primarily amazed at the projection of these little babies. They throw the sound really well and the overall sound I can describe in one word: Crisp! Without the Sub Bass unit these speakers extend down to 80hz which is a respectable figure for such a compact cabinet. I would imagine that, on their own these speakers would make ideal candidates for background music in bars, cafe's and restaurants. They would also make pretty tasty surround speakers in a Dolby setup and are a viable alternative for home hi-fi for those who want a more professional sound. Do not...

The controller which shook the world

...When you think of a games console you think heavy, uncomfortable and always getting tangled in wires. Well not the PS3 sixaxis controller. The first point of interest is the wireless cabability of the controller. The controller uses bluetooth which allows a constant stream of information from the controller to the PS3 with no lag time. The second is because it is bluetooth the range of the controller is about 20m, you will never need this much length but it means there will be no-where in the room that you can't use it. PS3 Sixaxis Controller

Advantages: Battery Life / Charge Times ; Nice Size

...I don't think there's that much that can be said about this specific product...it's a controller. However, I'll give an account of my experiences of this controller over the past two years. I got two of these sixaxis controllers free with my PS3 so was able to rotate between using one and charging the other, hopefully allowing me to prolong the usability of the contollers. Unfortunately, after about a year and a half ( and many hours of use, 200+ ) the left analogue stick on both controllers began to squeak and stick. I'm pretty sure the analogue bashing involved in Beijing Olympics contributed highly to this. The main disadvantages of this for me is when I'm playing Call of Duty and I'm hiding behind an object and without realising have begun slowly moving out into the open. Advantages: Great sound, Great looks
Disadvantages: No remote control

...rings early in the morning but unless you keep the On Time right next to your bed, you need to get up to press the snooze button. And with such a nice sounding iPod dock, maybe you want to lie in bed on a Sunday morning and listen to music without having to get up to skip songs every time a bad one comes on. A remote control is a must for the next version...I was almost put off buying this purely because of the lack of a remote. Overall: Despite the remote control problem mentioned above, would I recommend it? If you love music and can't bear to listen to it on tinny, useless little speakers, and you want an iPod dock which is quite stylish. Yes I would. SIXAXIS CONTROLLER REVIEW

Advantages: ergonomic triggers
Disadvantages: no rumble pack

...I am extreamly made up with this new controllers for the playstation 3, the good points: 1) the reaction time between the controller and the console is so responsive its like it is connected via a wire. 2) the motion sensors are well balanced and the new triggers are a welcomed addition.3) The controller has a very long battery life. Downsides 1) its a shame that each controller does not have its own charger this would make it much easier to charge rather then having to share the one lead which is included with the consol. 2) its a great shame that the sixaxis controler does not have a rumble pack intergrated but I do believe that the next model will. 3) For me the fact that the controller(s) do not turn themselves off when they have not been used for a coulple of minutes is a shame this would be a great addition however I really like...
