...I bought these speakers when i decided that by small anoying speakers on my monitor where just not enough. These speakers give a lovely crisp and accurate sound. They give a huge range of volume which if needed they can go extremely loud for the little things that they are. They are small and compact so they do not take up much space on a desk. These speakers also have very little distortion thanks to special JBL technology. One disadvantage is that you can not plug headphones into them. So unfortunately you cant listen to their great sound quality in silence! On the whole i would say that these speakers are very good and they do not cost much, about £30. For this reason they are affordable to anyone so i would recommend these to evereyone.... Read review

...WOW! Never have I heard any speakers that sound so good... These are absoloutley amaizing.... The JBL control 1's are small but powerful speakers. These are ideal for the profesional or the home user. The sound reproduction is probably the best I have heard. Even running off a home stereo they sound good. So long as the amp does the output these speakers will sound just fine.... they act great as satalite speakers and ideal for partys because of their small size. They are stylish too. The small size with the black colour looks excelent, but they are also producde in white so there is a choice. Also the logo on the speaker front spins round so no matter which way up the speakers are the logo is always the same way too... Overall a good buy for the money.... Read review

...We bought these nice neat little beech coloured JBLs back in January this year to hook up to the rear of our JVC TV. Mainly because the surround speakers supplied with the TV did not do it any justice (they rarely do). JBL will always be my first choice of speakers. Not really a great deal to describe here as regading the look of the speaker, it's easier just to take a glimpse at the picture, which shows the speakers without the liitle black grille which can be removed and re-fitted easy enough. Hovever,the sound is another matter. Anyone that is familiar with JBL speakers may think of the stunning Control series. These are a distant relation of those,and are a passive speaker, but boy do they sound good. Put plenty of power through these to get the real sound ,these speakers need to be driven,and driven hard to get the best... Read review

...I have owned 2 pairs of JBL Control 1 speakers and they have never let me down! The first pair I owned I gave to my dad as he liked the sound so much! These are bookshelf speakers and measure (H x W x D) 227 x 130 x 140 mm. They can be mounted on a stand, on a shelf or you can also order the wall brackets from jbl. For the size they have an excellent sound, warm solid bass with crisp mid and treble. They are 100 watts RMS and can really handle some power. The speaker is 2 way, comprising of a 4" bass woofer and a 1/2" titanium laminate dome tweeter. These speakers also feature a front mounted bass port. When you play the speakers loud its is astonishing the amount of air that is forced out of the bass ports! The speakers case is extremely tough, I have dropped one of my speakers (accidently, not some extreme test!) from head... Read review

...My experience with the JBL LX 8 model speakers has been quite exceptional not only exceeding in quality, but overall performance too. While this model speaker produced by JBL is no longer made there are many ways you can still be able to obtain the opportunity to get your anticipated hands on these speakers to give a whirl around the bush. I ordered mine through a friend, and paid $150 for a double-set of these speakers which now occupy the lower portion of my house in the family room. A solid, and fair deal in my opinion for such an exceptional pair of speakers, made exclusively by JBL. ~~~~~ Sound Output ~~~~~~~ Simply crisp, and clear these speakers output excellent sound. ...WWE Adrenaline Twin Pack The APA Review The APA were a great tag team in the WWE,they was payed money to beat people up a great personality tag team who used to drink beers and take cash to beat people up.The APA made a comeback for on the RAW anniversary show last month.They are no longer together with Bradshaw better known as JBL making a seperate move while Farooq now known as Ron Simmons does backstage promos. ...I can't believe no-one has reviewed this yet! I bought one for my wife as a Christmas present recently, and she loves it. I bought her an Ipod video Nano recently, so this was a logical accessory for use at home. I paid £49 in Tesco (reduced from £79) in November 2007, and last time I looked, they were still £49. I bought a black one, it looks ok with the silver Ipod Nano, but of the pack of universal dock adapters, none matched with the Nano, so we had to use the white one that came with the Ipod (black JBL, white adapter, silver Ipod, never mind). Sound quality is very good, and the sound is very clear for such a small unit. The remote only has 5 buttons, but this is enough to drive the neccessary functions of the Ipod. ...Ok where to start, My dad got these speakers quite cheap a while back and since then they have done nothing. My mum thought they were to loud for the kitchen so they sat in a box until I found them! I was looking for a pair of speakers to go with the turntables and mixing desk I had just got cheap on ebay but I didn't want to spend anything on a pair. My dad took these out of the garage so I looked them up on the internet. I couldn't find them on the JBL site but after searching I found that they were on the JBL pro website and these were actually professional studio monitors. I didn't wait around, I took them off my dad and went to wire them up. A few weeks later I got a set of Wall brackets and I was on my way. That was 2-3 years ago and these are still my speakers in my room, although me and my dad are making speakers cabinets... Read review

MATCH 6 (WWE Championship Match)(Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match) Big Show vs. JBL (Champion) The match started with a few cheap shots back and forth and loads of blocks. Finally, JBL gave Big Show a neckbreaker, then JBL climbed up the cage to look at the barbed wire, where he looked quite scared about it!
