...This is a horror film that has seen a lot of poor reviews from the critics, as well as most of the public; however, I really enjoyed it! The plot is as follows: a beautiful cheerleader, Jennifer, and her nerdy friend, Needy, go through life in small town America with a lot of differences but a strong friendship. When Jennifer is sacrificed by a band of satanists desperate for success, she comes back as a demon and uses her sexuality to lure men into a trap of death! This is a horror, but it's also a tongue in cheek comedy. As a horror it does work, and there are four or five realky scary scenes. However, the real strength of the film is the comedy. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. ...Christmas is fast approaching , and so beings as I havn't written a new review for around two weeks , I thought I would write a review on something Chrismassy and this is where the film Love Actually comes into it. Love Actually is a British film which comes under the romantic comedy genre. It was released in the United Kingdom in 2003 and was directed by Richard Curtis. The film stars many 'big names' including Hugh Grant , Keira Knightley and Alan Rickman as well as a few other well known actors and actresses. Then one day, a sucide victim's body comes into the morgue and he falls in love with her..hearing her talk to him despite the fact that she has been dead for a few days. He manages to avoid burning her body, much to his boss' fury, but as his boss is running an illegal body parts business, he is not really in a position to criticise.
