Frame of the Future
Advantages: Great photo quality, effecient, can hold 500 pictures
Disadvantages: never taken 500 photos, hassle with memory card, easily forgotten
...Me and my mum saw our doctor with a digital frame in her office and we thought that was such a clever device we just had to get one. In a world where everything is pretty much digital it seemed logical to show our photos from our digital camera on this rather than leaving them on the computer.
***The Product***
It has a 7inch LCD frame which is photo quality. It will rotate your picture in the frame for correct viewing of landscape and portrait positions. The multi-card slot accepts Memory Stick, Memory Stick Duo, SD, MMC, CompactFlash, MicroDrive or xD media. Pictures from your computer can be easily transfered to the frame's memory with no software needed. The internal memory is 256MB which can hold up to 500 pictures to display on your frame. You can choose whether you wish to use the slideshow mode to show your photos or choose...

Review of Sony DPF-D70 - Digital photo frame - flash 256 MB - 7" - 800 x 480

A brilliant way to display your digital snaps.
Advantages: Crisp excellent colour. Brilliant way to show off your snaps. A great feature
Disadvantages: No battery facility.
...also an option on how you wish to display the images. They can either be static and manually moved between through the buttons on the frame or using the remote control. I prefer to use the slideshow feature which allows all of my photos to rotate every few seconds. Some people find this distracting and I guess it is down to personal taste. I like to see all of my pictures with minimum fuss so the slideshow works well for me.
You can also choose to have a clock and calendar feature as part of the frame. You may choose to have a split screen with the photo and the time, or have the clock appear instead of a photograph as part of the slideshow. The opportunities are endless!
In conclusion
The frame fulfils its needs. It is a high quality digital photo frame that displays photos to a high standard. It is also a brilliant addition to your...

A Sony Digital Photo Frame Review
Advantages: Good if you have a lot of pictures on your computer.
Disadvantages: There is always something moving in the corner of your eye.
...I bought this digital photo frame for my eldest daughter as the sales assisstant in the shop said it is ideal for people with a lot of pictures and as she is leaving school soon she will have a lot of photos lying on the computer. This gift is ideal for people is their computer it full up with holiday pictures etc. It is a regular photo frame size, which is ideal. The picture quality is fantastic, however this depends on the quality of the camera you took the photo on in the first place. It is good that you can change the picture often by uploading new photos onto it (instructions make this very easy). You can choose which pictures you wish to view and how the transition of the photos occurs. The only down side is that if the photo is small then it doesn't stretch to the edges of the frame....

Pixelar digital frames 7" and 15"
Advantages: ease of use ,picture quality
Disadvantages: 7" couldnt wall hang...no slots
...i actually bought the 7" PWCL7 and PBCL15 FRAMES...little one for a friend as xmas present, and the big one for me..;-).
The quality of the 7" one when i started it up with an sd card out of my camera was surprisingly good for a little frame.Worked straight from plugging in really...also linked to pc and could download from pc via usb lead provided.Could orient the frame in portrait and lansdcape...but would need to orient the pics too...did via the remote control.picture bright and colour good.
The 15" one was lovely, with stunning picture quality..seems to have same software in it as 7"-handy as i bought two. This one can go on a wall using the screw recesses in back..and thoughtfully has a longer lead power supply for the wall hanging option...
Overall i am a happy chappy... (**)...

Pixelar 7 inch white digital photo frame
Advantages: nice looking, ease of use, multifunctional, excellent picture quality-with music at same time
Disadvantages: no wall hanging slots
...I bought this pwcl7 white digital photo frame from the pixelar website,
It came quickly-2 dys - and was well packaged,
I have bought a 5.6" one and another 7" elsewhere over last 18 months but i have to say i was impressed by the quaolity and functions available on this one.the picture quality was very good and it was very easy to use,
with good brightness and contrast range. The remote also had a mode function which enabled you to change from 16:9 to 4:3 ratio,,handy as most of my pictures are 4:3.
it wasnt the cheapest..like my other 7" i bought, but it certainly was a goodd money buy.
downsides.well i really wanted a black one but i found that this fits just about anywhere, currently on my office desk.Only criticism if i am being fair is that you cant wall hang it,but it may llook a bit daf that small on a wall.
Remote easy to use...

Display your best pictures with style.
Advantages: clock, power saving presets, stability, connectivity options
Disadvantages: none
....
In the beginning of this review I need to say that before my girlfriend's brother bought it I was not a big fan of these frames. Saw them hundred times in shops, adverts and so on and can not explain why, but was not interested. Once I saw how it works, how simple it is and what it does I have completely changed my mind.
The biggest difference between ordinary and digital frame is in my opinion simplicity. It may sound weird but yes-simplicity. In normal frame you can not put lets say hundred pictures and set them to change every 10 seconds. It is not possible to see anything when light is off. Philips 7FF2FPA does it all and allows you even to save money. When you buy normal frame or frames it cost, to place something in - means to print a picture from PC or printing shop it costs. Once you have digital frame all you need to do...

Pixelar 7 inch white digital frame
Advantages: ease off use and many functions
Disadvantages: i want a bigger one!!
...This pwbcl7 7 inch digital photo frame is one of two i bought recently.
this was the more expensive one but is far superior.....the other living images one stopped working after 2 weeks.
the on screen menu is very straightfoirward, which is handy because i did wonder if the technology was going to be too much for me.
the remote control is simplicity itself.
One very handy option is the ability to switch between 16:9 and 4:3 picture ratios.,as 16:9 ratios are standard it seems on digital frames, but normal camera pictures are 4:3..so this option avoids cropping or stretching of photos.
the screen quality seems excellent, and the 256mb of internal memory is the highest i found for a 7 inch.
it plays videos clips too and sound ie music mp3 whilst photo slideshow playing.
Overall i would say its excellent value for money and may go...

Picture this!
Advantages: See review, too many to list!
Disadvantages: None for me but the Sony branding may put some off!
...In days gone by if you wanted to display your favourite photos then you had two choices, you either placed all the photos in big clumsy albums which you could pass round to visitors to browse through in turn or you could have dozens of photo frames all around your living room making the place look very, very cluttered.
These days with digital cameras we all have even more images to display and now thankfully we also have a new way to display them. The digital photo frame has been around for a while now but they are coming down in price and improving in quality so much so that they are soon going to be the thing no house can be without.
If you are going to go for a digital photo frame then you will want to look out for a few things, you will obviously want one that looks good, you will want one that can take a large memory card...

SONY - THE NAME FOR FRAME ACCLAIM
Advantages: Crisp images, easy to use, looks lovely, large screen
Disadvantages: No USB Cable supplied - so no way of getting photographs onto the frame without buying one
...My Mum, bless her, can?t get her head around viewing photographs on a computer monitor, she is of the generation that like their pictures in albums or in a frame, to be enjoyed at her leisure, preferably in a comfy chair, and without the need for constant mouse clicking. Between the family members with digital cameras we have a fair number of digital photographs, numbering into the thousands in fact, but not having a limitless supply of ink and photo paper printing them off would be immensely costly, as well as time consuming. Clearly something had to be done to open up these many photographs to Mum, which is how I found myself toying with the idea of a digital photo frame for Mothers Day. The brief was to find one that was simple to operate, aesthetically pleasing and with enough storage to hold as many photographs as we could throw...

A Conversation Stopper
Advantages: Shows off loads of photos without the expense of priting
Disadvantages: Distracting in slideshow mode
...would be nice, and that's what digital photo frames excel at.
I don't suppose I did myself any favours by buying the Sony DPF-D70 from John Lewis in Kingston, price-wise, but it was the last shopping Saturday before her birthday, so an element of desperation was creeping in. Parting with close on one hundred smackers does indeed appear to be about £10 over the top - so much for 'Never Knowingly Undersold'.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
My very first impression was 'My God, isn't the box heavy?'
Refreshingly, the packaging was an ingenious fold of cardboard with not a hint of blown foam to dispose of, so it was all immediately recyclable.
Contents were quite simply the frame itself, the AC adapter built into a UK plug, the remote control and the manual.
UPON SWITCH ON
This would have to be my first impression of any importance...
