Jet2.com - A good budget airline.

Advantages: Cheap flights! Isn't that why we fly with them after all?
Disadvantages: All the extra charges, however even after paying for hold luggage it's still cheap.

...I recently went on holiday to Prague, and I noticed my local airport, Newcastle, does not do flights to Prague anymore which were once run by Easyjet. After winning a return flight on Jet2.com, we decided to travel to Leeds to fly to Prague using this airline. Shame jet2 charge for bags!

Advantages: good rates and destinantions from local airports
Disadvantages: baggage charges and no rout changes allowed

...I have just recently flown with jet2 for a couple of trips - one to alicante from manchester and one to rome fumicino from manchester. As they were very close together i thought i would share my views as obviously two very different routes and staff were different on the different routes too. Booking: The jet2 website was very easy to use - i find most low cost airline websites are really and there isn't anything different about the jet2 website that makes it any easier to use than any other of the low cost airlines sites but i would say it is one of the more attractive looking ones. Lovely and bright with an array of offers highlighted and an easy to use search tool on the left hand side of the screen - just pop the details in it asked for such as date, departure airport and arrival airport, along with number of passengers and away...

Great to Jet2 Europe out of Leeds Bradford

Advantages: price, departure location, planes, destinations
Disadvantages: price of car parking

The difference with this one is that it goes out of Leeds/Bradford airport, and for anyone living in West Yorkshire this is a Godsend. No more travelling over to Liverpool or Manchester-it's a quick journey to just North of Bradford and you're off! How to book... Log onto the website- if you put Jet2 in you may be redirected to a site that looks as if it has nothing to do with Jet2, but it has- AIRKIOSK INTERNET RESERVATIONS.. Jet2.com - The Way All Budget Airlines Should Be!

Advantages: No-one else offers this sort of service from Leeds Bradford, impressive punctuality, cheap fares, new Manchester routes...
Disadvantages: Sometimes not so cheap.

...INTRODUCTION Jet2.com are a new (around 2 years old) budget airline who fly from Leeds Bradford International Airport to a variety of European destinations including Amsterdam, Venice, Prague, Geneva, France, Spain and Portugal. Their growth over the past couple of years has been quite spectacular and shows little sign of slowing down, with new routes, flights, aircraft and facilities being added all the time. They just announced a massive new expansion to Manchester where they will base 6 more aircraft and run 9 new routes including Budapest, Pisa and Valencia. So now they're the obvious choice for low cost air travel all across the north, not just from Yorkshire! Myself, and my family and friends have flown with Jet2 several times over the past year and a bit and have found it to be a very pleasurable experience every time...

Advantages: Convenient from Yorkshire and the Northwest, Great customer service
Disadvantages: Limited destination

...My best friend's mother was spending Christmas and New Year with family in Leeds, and was flying back to her home in Geneva on 5 January on Jet 2. My friend and I thought it would be fun if I surprised her at the airport (I actually got as far as the departure lounge before I leapt out at her!) and flew back to Geneva with her. (She has a bad back and so I could help with luggage etc.) As those who have read my other reviews will know, I am a frequent flier, but this was my first experience with Jet 2. I doubt it will be my last, despite the problems I will detail later. First, Leed-Bradford airport is as convenient to my home in the Midlands as Heathrow and Stansted and almost as convenient as Luton. ...My partner and I ideally wanted a few weeks away earlier this summer (well the start of June) but money could not quite stretch that far. Instead we looked at city breaks and before we knew it we had picked the beautiful city of Prague and were researching the net looking for cheap flights and times. It wasn't long before we found jet2.com (who I have to admit we had never heard of before). Advantages: Comfort, price and ease of booking

...I travelled in April from Newcastle to Tenerife and I was very impressed with Jet2. Firstly, we booked online and the website was very user friendly, we did not encounter any problems at all when booking. When we got to the airport, it was a very quick check-in, there was no queue at all and the check in staff were very friendly. The luggage allowance is 18kg which is very reasonable as most airlines only offer you 15kg standard and an extra 5kg at a supplement. I always go over my luggage allowance no matter what it is, however, since I only went on holiday for 4 nights, 18kg was more than enough. Once on the aircraft I was very suprised to find we had leather seats. Jet2 being a budget airline I expected cramped and uncomfortable seats, however the seats were the most comfortable and roomy of any airline I have travelled...

Jet off with Jet2

Advantages: Cheap n Cheerful
Disadvantages: Airport tax and no baggage lables

...than the company the airline advertised. So shop around for deals I found some places did 3 nights for the price of 2 which allowed me to get cheaper flights by staying for longer. All in all I would defiantly recommend Jet2, and will defiantly be jetting off with them sometime in the near future....

JET2 - Can be a nightmare for cyclists!

Advantages: The website is easy to use and it is quicker to book flights than over the phone.
Disadvantages: However - large items may not be able to pre-booked

...My Father has flown with Jet2 twice in the past 12months and both times he was carrying a bicycle in a carry case. Obviously this is a large item, and yet it cannot be booked in prior to the flight day. The flight (from LBA to Paris) was booked over the internet and it informed us that bikes could not be pre-checked. Therefore we had to phone Jet2, which took forever to get through. FInally we were told we would just have to hope there was enough room in the hold for the bike once everyone elses luggage was stored. This could have been an absolute nightmare, if the bike hadn't have fit in ,the whole holiday would have been cancelled at the last minute. I do not understand why bikes cannot be pre-booked as other items can be.As far as I am aware Jet2 didn't provide us with an answer. Luckily there was room and my Dad managed to...

Jet2.com budget airline

Advantages: cheap, local, friendly

...Now this is how flying should be! I've just returned from my second trip using Jet 2 this one was a short break in Nice which cost me £5 to fly there and £1 to fly back. The taxes they had to add on aftrewards cost more than that. But at a total cost of £36 I still couldn't complain. I can't get to Manchester for that. The fact that they fly from my local airport is superb, no more trips across the Pennines, I can get a taxi to Leeds/Bradford for £7-50. They're friendly and helpful and booking in was a doddle, it couldn't have been made any easire if they'd tried. As this was the first time I'd ever used a budget airline it felt a bit strange going into the airport with no tickets, just something I'd printed off the PC at home. I needn't have worried, everything was just so straightforward. Let's hope they stay small, and local...
