Jim Clark 1936-1968
Advantages: Greatest driver in the 1960s, a proper gentleman
Disadvantages: No longer with us
...This is a review of a number of sites in Scotland linked to the late Jim Clark which are little known about except to local residents & racing enthusiasts.
Gentlemen Jim as he was affectionately known was probably one of the greatest racing drivers of his time. A time when motor racing was all about participating & winning, not the money & glamour obsessed sport it has now become where sponsorship deals are more important than anything else.
He was born in Kilmany in Fife on the 4th March 1936, when he was four years old he moved with his parents to a farm in Duns in North Berwickshire.
Just after his 17th birthday his career as a motor racing driver started racing a Sunbeam Talbot Mk3 Saloon after joining the Berwick & District Motor Club. He also raced his friends DKW, Porsche & his Sunbeam Talbot on the local airfields...

FREE DVDs
Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included,new realeases
Disadvantages: see review
...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them.
∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊
Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54
Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.
...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied.
On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

Earthworm Jim - Crazy Worm!
Advantages: Great gameplay, Fun
Disadvantages: Didnt release enough copies
...What a funky, hard ass worm!
He is just slivering around one day, minding his own business, getting eating by crows and hiding in soil when a big funky, muscle bound, headless body falls from outer space. It lands on Earthworm Jim and he becomes ultra strong like some sort of super worm hero with big muscles!
Sound good?
Well get this....................
Not only is he super cool, he can also take off his head and use it as a whip to destroy oncoming enemies.
You think thats cool?
well guess what else he can do..................
He can use his head to grapple onto trees and hooks and swing like tarzan.
I know what you are thinking, thats cool right?
Well theres more.................................
When he gets bored he uses his head as a skipping rope :-D
On the PSP if you dont touch any buttons...

Jim Davidson
Advantages: Extremely funny will always make you laugh
Disadvantages: Sexist, Racist, Crude etc
...I have seen Jim Davidson on stage three times in the last 12 months plus I am a woman. I know he gets a lot of bad press but the way he expresses his opinions is very funny. The DVD has some special extras that I can assure you are just as good as the show.
Background
Jim Davidson was born in Blackheath and from a young age he liked to be the centre of attention. Was going to follow in the foot steps of his brother and join the Navy but a girl told him not to so he didn't.
He has been married, four times; his first marriage was when he was 18 years old. He admitted himself to a clinic for his alcohol addiction in 1994.
Once he got his life back together he proved himself as a family entertainer on Big Break and The Generation Game. I still think he is best on stage doing what he does best, taking the p...

Jim Clark, The Greatest FI Driver
Advantages: Great skill. Cool. Gentleman.
Disadvantages: Didnt always have the best car
...Scot Jim Clark. They were followed by three times World Champion driver the "Flying Scot" Jackie Stewart.
Later there were great drivers such as Nelson Piquet,Nikki Lauda,Alan Jones,James Hunt, and in more recent times Damon Hill, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost. Ayrton Senna,Mika Hakkinen and,of course,the current star,Michael Schumacher all come into the reckoning.
So far we have only considered drivers who won the world champonship but there were drivers such as Stirling Moss,Ronnie Petersen,Derek Warwick, Chris Amon, and Bruce McLaren,who were greatly admired,although they did not win the world title.
If you go only by statistics then I suppose the list has to read Fangio, Prost,Senna and Schumacher.These are undeniably great drivers and certainly among the finest of all time According to Alain Prost " Ayrton was certainly...

A Vote for Jim is a vote for a good old laugh!
Advantages: I cry with laughter
Disadvantages: Rude, sexist, racist and price of DVD
...This is a party political broadcast on behalf of the Purple Party; the leader of the party is Jim Davidson.
I know I am going to get some stick for this but what if Jim Davidson was Prime Minister? For one thing he would not be walked over like some of them are (I'm not mentioning any names) and he would not take any crap, why because he knows where his nuts are!
If you did not like that then I apologise but it is going to get worse.
The Show
=
Jim Davidson has made this a very British live show including having the national anthem as he enters on stage with a very large Union Jack hung as the background. There is a speakers' podium in the centre of the stage and he is dressed in a pin stripped suit.
As you probably would imagine Jim does have a good moan about Tony Blair but if you think it is over an hour of Jim...

Jim's Much Better Than Jack!
Advantages: A great twist on a traditional tale.
Disadvantages: Some children of a nervous disposition find the giant scary!
...This is a brilliant retelling of a classic children's traditional story.
As a teacher I love books like this as so many comparisons can be drawn between these re-mixed versions and the traditional tales.
~ Raymond Briggs / Author ~
He is perhaps most famous for The Snowman but he has written a number of other books for children and is an award winning writer and illustrator.
* The Mother Goose Treasury
* Fungus the Bogeyman
* When the wind blows
* The Strange House
* Father Christmas
* Fee Fi Fo Fum
~ Jim and the Beanstalk ~
Jim (not Jack), wakes up and sees an enormous plant growing outside his window. Being inquisitive, he climbs up it , in to the clouds, until at the top he sees a castle.
Feeling a tad hungry he decides to go to the castle for a breakfast of cornflakes.
A giant answers the door......
