...I'd be suprised if you hadn't heard of JJB, they have become very big competitors of other stores in the past few years and nearly cut out all the competition. JJB was originally formed in 1971 but I don't it really become huge until about 1998, by this time they had over 410 stores across the nation. They sell: Sports Clothes Footwear Exercise Equipment Football, Rugby kits Bikes & Golf Equipment...at incredibly low prices. The brands include: Nike Adidas Reebok Puma Hi-Tec Kappa LCS Patrick Umbro... ... and many more. All of their products are of decent quility and I personally think the prices are reasonable. On First sight i was impressed with how good the building looked from the outside, and as we went down the escalator we were even more impressed. We were greeted by a friendly security guard, who asked us whether we needed any help. JJB is good for me

Advantages: good range of products, polite and helpful staff, long opening hours
Disadvantages: store card expensive

...One of my all time favourite shops has to be JJB. With 4 children I find their clothing good value at reasonable prices. JJB is the only store I know that I can get something for everyone so I also save time and energy. When I go in someone usually asks if I need help but I don't feel watched like in some other stores. I can walk round for ages and get help if I need it. The staff are mainly polite and helpful and if something I particularly want is out of stock they will ring the nearest stores to try to find it. There are often good offers on. I like the "buy one get one free" best as you don't have to get the same size or colour. ...JJB sports had a sale on so I went to have a look, and though I did not buy anything except for some socks, I was impressed by their range and most of all by the staff. I somehow, managed to leave my bags in their, don?t ask me how, but I did. Luckily, I was browsing through some other shops close by, when one of their staff member approached me and said ‘Excuse me, I think you have something in the store? I was so happy, and so thankful. I don?t know what I would have done if I had forgotten them, I was so happy. So how can I possibly write anything bad about them except for they are brilliant. GO AND SHOP THERE!...

Warning About Their Interest Free Credit

Advantages: Usually a well stocked store
Disadvantages: Appalling customer service

...At Christmas I bought a basketball hoop from JJB Sports for £200. They were offering interest free credit on purchases this size and although I did not particularly need the credit I thought as it was there I would take advantage of it. I paid £20 deposit and needed to pay the rest by direct debit – 6 payments of £30. I have never ever regretted a decision involving buying any goods as much as I have done this one. First off the credit agreement is administered by a company called Creation Financial Service Limited of Solihull and if you ever see this name on a credit agreement walk away immediately. They in turn are linked to a company called Equifax Card Solutions also not surprisingly of Solihull. At the risk of repeating myself avoid these people also. It is however unlikely you will notice these names in minute writing...

The ironic job description of shop assistant

Advantages: Keeps the employees off the streets
Disadvantages: Your gran might go Christmas shopping there

..."Can I help you?" mumbled the shop assistant, without removing his intense gaze from the freedom that lay outside of the store. I wondered if he could even help himself.... Earlier today I was looking for a sports bag. At about 10am on an uncrowded Friday morning I decided to enter a sports shop as part of this search and despite admitting to not being the most capable of shoppers I assumed this was a reasonable idea. Silly me. There are many sports shops in Bristol. They are predominantly JJB Sports though so I wasn't particularly spoilt for choice. Anyway in I sauntered not looking on spending too much cash but something reasonably sized and not that unpleasant to look at. Suddenly my mind was full of questions. When did sports shops stop selling sports equipment? Surely the people seeking to dress like Harry Enfield...

Superstores are cheaper

Advantages: modern , stores
Disadvantages: price varies from store to store

...I have found that JJB out of town superstores are on the whole cheaper than the town centre stores. I guess this is because of the fact the high street prime locations cost a premium and therefore the prices are slightly higher to reflect that difference. Superstores also have a bigger choice of stock and often have a great end of range section that offer even bigger discounts off the normal retail price. I have bought Reebok trainers for twelve pounds and ninety nine pence instead of the full rec retail price of forty four pounds . This is well worth getting hold of . JJB is a top store though especially if you watch out for the superstore bargains....

Sporty Shop

Advantages: Many branches, lots of different sports.
Disadvantages: hardly open or out of stock

Broughton and it sells all the sports things i need.(provided they are in stock)In the world of sport shops JJB Sports is no way the top shop it is around second or third. im writing on it because i use it the most. What it sells Ah ha the gold mine what it sells is the most important factor of any shop bar price. JJB sells most things you would want for the more "common sports" such as football, rugby,tennis,hockey,golf,cricket and ball games as such. it also sells BMX bikes,weight lifting equiptment,badminton, icould spend most of my day naming what it sells but i think the point is clear, it sells accesories and bats of loads of sports at a price quite affordable.
