JML Halogen Oven 1300 watt
Advantages: Speedy, versatile and excellent results
Disadvantages: Not available in the shops
...Faster than a conventional oven, 360 degree visibility without having to open a door. Amazing how much room there is, it can cook a large item of poultry and vegetables. Reduces the cooking tilme with a powerful fan assisted halogen heat. Food doesn't dry out and everything we have tried in it tastes better than a micrwave and even a conventional oven. Add to that the fact that it's rack system manages to ensure that food is never left to cook in fat and there is a self clean facility that removes any stuck on crumbs or fat. Unlike a microwave it browns food. Considering the fact that it can roast, grill and bake all for less than £50 and there is no better value kitchen appliance. Only available from JML on-line or by TV adverts. If you buy 2 you save £20 !!
Ideal for a present....

Quick and tasty food
Advantages: Quick cooking times , tasty food, saves energy, convenient
Disadvantages: Needs a better instruction book and a recipe book, no lid holder
...BACKGROUND INFORMATION
My mum bought the JML Halogen Oven after our main oven decided to give up the ghost. We'd seen infomercials about the Halogen Oven and it was something we were thinking of getting at some point. I liked the idea of having a counter top oven, and something that would cook food quickly but retained flavour. We did look at a similar product, but it was out of our price range.
HOW MY MUM BOUGHT THE PRODUCT
IMy mum bought her Halogen Oven over the phone, but you can also order it online from the JML website at www.jmldirect.com, and by Mail Order.
The Halogen Oven cost £59.99 and the delivery charge was £4.95. My mum ordered the oven on a Tuesday evening, and the oven was delivered on the Friday.

G. Pearson
Advantages: Cooks beautifully, easy to clean, easy to understand the controls
Disadvantages: The light from it is a bit bright
...I had been planning to buy a JML Halogen cooker for some time due to the praise given by my daughter, but when our microwave packed in it had to be a new one or opt for the JML Halogen, as we only use the M/W for de-frosting and warming up a cup of milk occasionally, I bought the JML. Our cooker duly arrived in less than a week, and was promptly sent back the same day, the fan did not work, however a replacement arrived in a few short days, (brilliant service)
I do most of the cooking in our home, ( YES I AM A MAN) and my first attempt was to cook truffle buns which came out beautifully, then roast potatoes, fantastic, then I tried a fruit cake from a conventional cook book at 200 deg. c , I had to take the cake out after 36 minutes the top was as brown as I dare let it, it was awful, WRONG TEMPERATURE, if I had looked at the too small...

JML Fresh Air Globe
Advantages: very good
Disadvantages: none
...The idea is that by swirling water around (or something more scientific but swirling is what it looks like), particles will be filtered out of the air and deposited in the water bowl leaving you with cleaner, fresher air. It claims to remove pet odours, harmful bacteria and neutralise other odours. The unit comes in three parts - the base with light & power switch, the water globe and the lid. There is a vent on the lid of the globe from which the air (and I assume the water particles) are emitted.
Cost
£40 plus £5 postage direct from JML, available in two colours
Use
It's very easy to use - you fill the bowl to the recommended level, put the lid on, plug it into the mains and switch it on. There are a number of light options ranging from one static colour, strobe effect, neutral or no light. You can add oils to the water bowl however...

Mr GT
Advantages: VERY LITTLE
Disadvantages: TO MANY
...I Bought This Oven? Hoping It was Half as good As The Flanell They Put On TV, But Alas No Conned Again
My First Thing i noticed, Was The Lack Of recipes & Instructions
My Second Thing Was, How Does The Lady In One of The Reviews
State She Baked A Potatoe On The bottom Rack, & Chicken On The Top Rack?? All I can say Is, It Must Have Been a Baby Potatoe,
The Distance Between The Racks Is About an Inch & 1/4
So How Can You Possibly Bake A Potatoe On The Bottom rack
& Chicken on The Top Rack ?? & Any One With Common Sense Would Do it The Other Way Round, As Fat / Oil Would drip on The Potatoe
THE TOP RACK IT WILL NOT SIT DOWNLEVEL , Also The Racks Are Very Flimsy & need To be Heavier Gauge Steel, & The Top Rack Definitely Needs To Be deeper

Cooking The Dinner With A Lightbulb
Advantages: Fast, efficient, clean
Disadvantages: gets hot
...I have wanted to buy a halogen tabletop cooker for a while now. I did buy a cheaper version some months ago but within a month it stopped working and I got a full refund from the manufacturer.
So, when I saw the JML version on TV I decided to buy one. It cost me £49 which is £10 off the current full price, less a little bit for the VAT reduction.
It arrived very well packed and I soon set up my gleaming new machine. The bowl stands on a heatproof stand and the unit that has the halogen bulb fits on the top of the bowl. Tongs and two racks of different heights are provided and there is an instruction book.
The first hing I noticed was that there were only very few recipe suggestions. I had expected to get cookery book with this machine.
The machine is very basic where heat settings and timing are concerned. You can cook...
