Lonely Joey!!!

...Like probably millions around the globe, I wasn't sure what to think of a new series, mainly a spin off of the best series ever made (I think). Is it going to get through the critics with not too much damage? According to the NBC website, so far so good and they are making more and more episodes. The main thing before watching it is not to compare it the fabulous "friends" series. The 4 main characters are: - Matt Le Blanc as Joey Tribianni. I just love these US TV shows they are short programmes full of photogenic people within laid back story lines that do not challenge the intellect too much. Snappy commentary helps keep them alive an ideal way to spend Fridays with a bottle of plonk. I used to watch Friends on channel 4 it wasn?t until I found out how much they got paid and Jennifer Anniston married Brad Pitt that I decided to do something else on Fridays. Joey's back!! - series 1

Advantages: Funny
Disadvantages: Not as good as freinds

...Just watched this new show on channel five and it is good, but no where near as good as 'Freinds'. But then again I never expected it to be! It is based around the life of Joey when he moves into LA, in the same block of appartments as his sister lives in. In case you dont know Joey (who thinks expected has 2 c's!) is an actor in tv show days of lives and lets just say he isnt the brightest tool in the box!! This character is played superbly by Matt Le Blanc. Joey was in freinds and this is like a spin-off style thing! I dont get the impression that this will work as good as Freinds because friends is aimed at everyone (I dont know anyone who doesnt like friends) and joey is just one part of friends. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. ...Joey Beltram, I wonder how many people will remember that name??? Everybody my age will for sure. He was a great pioneer of ?Techno? back in the late 80?s and early 90?s. just about every time I went out ?raving? I would hear one of his tracks, and as the title of this album suggests, these are some of the top tunes he produced, which were played by all of the top dj?s of the time. I can remember one night in particular, seeing Carl Cox at Eclipse in Coventry. When Energy Flash came on, the place just went wild!! (wilder that is). I seem to remember reading that Joey is currently living in his native U.S.A. New York to be precise, and still turning out the odd tune now and then, but I haven?t heard anything by him since about 1991. Is Joey Your Friend???

Advantages: Spin off of one of the best comedy series ever!!!

...Ok fist things first, Joey is a spin off of the hugely succesful and very funny Friends series. Im sure everyone has seen at least one Friends episode but just in case, it was basically about a group of 6 friends living in New York and their lifes n loves. ...Having been a huge fan of friends I wasn't sure what to expect with the new series Joey. It was eagerly awaited for weeks and when the time came I sat eagerly on the sofa with bated breath. I had decided before I watched it not to compare it to Friends, which was such a huge hit, as it worked well because of the combination of characters and I wasn't sure if one out on their own would do as well. I have to say I found it quite entertaining, with Joey just the same, the character effortlessly morphing from New York to LA. I found his sister's character very irritating and his nephew a bit of a wet fish. Not slating the actors themselves just the characters they were playing. His sister was clingy and neurotic to the point where it wasn't funny and some of the jokes were overused, like the fake boobs thing. Matt Le Blanc is perfect...

...Having finished the series Friends, Joey is the spin off to continue the acting career of Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc) in Los Angeles. He moves to LA with his sister and his nephew (both newcomers to the TV series genre), where he is pursuing his acting career full time. There, he meets (newcomer) Alex, his neighbour and landlady. From there, everything just goes typical Joey - guest appearances by several big-name actors, the typical stupid situations, which could only be pulled off by Joey, and Joey's rather promiscuous attitude in LA.
