Advantages: Very emotional writing
Disadvantages: Quite slow paced

Judging from the several mentions of the song in the story and given that author Peter Murphy works in the music press, I suspect that's where the title of this novel came from as well. How much I enjoy the song depends on which version of it I hear, but with no such concerns with the book, I was able to enjoy it fully without worrying if someone had done a better version elsewhere that I was missing out on. Gielgud and One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest

...I went to see this last night. I was my first time to the Gielgud. I'd bought tickets on the internet so can't comment on ticket availability. Our seats were in the upper circle, so I wasn't expecting a perfect view, however the angle is such that if anyone in the audience leans forward no one behind them can see much at all. It wasn't too much of a problem with Cuckoo because the action tended not to be at the front of the stage and fairly static, so you only needed to follow one actor at a time. But I can see it being a real problem for a production where there's more action on the stage. The seats are at a slightly odd angle, so if you sit back they start to fold back up on you. I also found the sound to be quite low and both my husband and I had trouble hearing on several occasions (which made it more likely that...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging.
