...This review is on a big 2 door fridge freezer made by John Lewis. I have named the title after a catchy song from Vanilla Ice back in 1990 which entered my head whilst writing about this fridge. First port of call was the High Street to get a good idea of what was around to meet our requirements (we needed a big one). ...Their catchphrase never knowlingly undersold puts so much confidence in the shop itself and you'd expect them, although by law they have to keep promise, but to be limited to what they can keep undersold? Well i was taken quite by surprise... We had wanted one of those American style fridges for ages but we were waiting for the prices to drop because they were fairly a new thing on high street! About a year after this we saw John Lewis were doing a samsung double-door fridge freezer with water and ice depenser! The price was 899 pounds and this was still cheaper than anywhere else we had looked! Anyway, we decided to buy and was also pleased with the extra years guarantee thats John Lewis themselves give! ...We've only had this about 6 weeks, but I am impressed. This replaced a built in fridge freezer that was always iced up and it is luxury to go the freezer and not try and smash the ice off to open it. This is a frost free model in a really smart satin aluminium colour that is easy to clean and does not show any dirt. The fridge is large and spacious with a handy bottle rack and loads of storage in the doors. The freezer is great and is frost free. There are 3 storage compartments with a 4th large one that holds a alot. I bought this from John Lewis, but could have got it cheaper on line- worth shopping about for but I'd thoroughly recommend this item.... Read review

It looks fantastic and is very practical. I would recommend to anyone thinking of buying one to be careful with the stainless steal on the front, it can scratch, like all stainless steal. This unit can be bought from shops such as John Lewis and even local fridge dealers. (if you have any :p) It costs from £2300 to £3000 depending where you buy it. We bought ours from a store near us in 'Bunny' for £2300 i believe. We have had the fridge for 2 and a half years now and unfortunatly its needed to be repaired once because the fridge and freezer were over working to keep cool. ...I am a massive John Lewis fan. Their stores have a huge variety of goods all at very competitive prices. The key points to consider are :- 1. They have a policy of "never knowingly undersold". This means that if you find the same goods elsewhere they will beat the price. However, when you actually shop around (which I did when I had to buy loads of stuff for my new flat) you will find that usually you do not need the guarantee - they are almost always cheaper than anyone else. 2. All electrical goods come with a 2 year guarantee. Everyone else offers 1 year. 3. Local deliveries are free. 4. If there is a problem with the goods they are pretty quick at sorting it out (I received a washing machine and the front was cracked when I unpacked it. 2 days later a new one arrived - no fuss!) Disadvantages: Can't think of any. Other than frost free appliances are more expensive than normal ones but probably worth it in the long run.

...further, hence you can get the trays out more easily for cleaning. 3. Has zoned cooling areas with a good, separate fresh meat tray which gets down to 0 degrees (but doesn't freeze up). 4. It keeps food fresh for ages. The fridge compartment is great. I've never known food to last as long in any other fridge. I don't know how or why, but it's dead good. 5. The FF7x range is being replaced by the FF9x range which is exactly the same machine but also available in funky colours. The killer is that the FF9x range is a lot more expensive. So you can get the FF72 now for about £430 (but get it quick before the shops sell out) or you can get the identical FF92 for £560. 6. Why are you still here?
