A delightful read!

Advantages: Atmospheric, magical story
Disadvantages: May be a little dated for some

...The Box of Delights is a children's book originally published in 1935. It was written by John Masefield, who was once the Poet Laureate. The book is a sequel to The Midnight Folk, and provides an interesting contrast, with The Midnight Folk being set in at the height of summer while The Box of Delights is set in the depths of winter, during the run up to Christmas. Advantages: Plot, cast, characters
Disadvantages: Ending was confusing for me
