...I discovered L'Occitane accidentally, whilst on holiday in France. I'm a shopaholic and I wandered into one of their brightly decorated shops, drawn in by the lovely fragrances coming from inside. Since then, I've been a devoted L'Occitane user. You may not have heard of L'Occitane before, or of Shea Butter, so I'm going to start off with a brief history. Review of L'Occitane Pure Shea Butter

Shea Butter

Advantages: Moisturises well, fair trade product
Disadvantages: Pricey, no real scent

...appears in the picture above. It has a screwtop lid and on the lid is a sticker which you can see on the picture above, so I won't bore you with a description. The sticker states that it is "Shea Body Butter with Community Trade Shea Butter to moisturise very dry skin." Overall I would give this product 3/5 because although it moisturises well, so do many other products available, for example Palmers Cocoa Butter. I think it is quite expensive and whilst I would like to buy it regularly to support fair trade I am a student so cannot afford to. Finally the fact there is no real smell to this product puts me off buying it. I would recommend it to a friend, provided they weren't bothered about price/smell....

Shea Waste of Money

...I don't normally shop in The Body Shop because, although their kind to animals and fair trade ethos really appeal to me, and I know from experience that they do make some brilliant products, I find it just too expensive compared to other high street retailers - there's no way I'm going to spend £6 on a shower gel when I can get a £1.50 one just as nice down the road, AND it's BOGOF! Shea Body Butter? No Ta!

Advantages: Very ethnical product, pretty nice smell!

SHEA DELIGHT FOR YOUR HANDS

John the Entertaining

Advantages: Very emotional writing
