...Johnsons Holiday Skin Body Lotion I am reviewing this product in Fair to Medium Skin. Johnson's Holiday Skin Body Lotion comes in a tall yellow bottle with blue writing on it. The bottle contains 250ml. It has lasted me about three months so far; I have used it about fifteen times and I am almost running out. It claims to 'gradually build a beautiful light tan'. My skin is pale and I burn easily in the sun. When and why I bought Johnsons Holiday Skin Body Lotion I bought Johnsons Holiday Skin Body Lotion from my local village shop. Shower with Johnsons 24 Hour Moisture Extra Rich Body Lotion

Advantages: Moisturises well and good value for money
Disadvantages: Not sure it could cope with very dry skin

There is a yellow pattern down the side that also corresponds with a box around 'specially for dry skin', so you know what type of skin the product is for. It also states that it 'will turn your shower into 24 hours of softness'. The bottle size that I purchased was 400 ml so is quite a large bottle. On the back of the bottle is the ingredients of the product. There is also some suggestions of how the product can help with skin tightness, flakiness and refresh dull looking skin. It also says you should use it everyday for 'noticeably soft, smooth skin'. I used this product in the shower as it is suggested. My opinion on the Johnson's Holiday Skin Body Lotion

Advantages: It is cheap and it has very persuasive advertising on the product.
Disadvantages: If your skin comes in contact with water, the lotion comes off immediately&it leaves skin itchy.

...In my opinion the Johnson's Holiday Skin Body lotion did nothing for me. It promised to develop an even natural looking tan after 3-4 days if you maintained with continued daily use. I did this for about a week, and I have used this product daily and it has done my skin no favours at all. I was extremely disapoointed in this as I know that Johnson's is a very good brand. Each time I applied the Johnson's Holiday Skin Body Lotion, my skin developed into a kind of rash and my skin became very itchy and red. At first, I thought I was allergic to one of the ingredients but I have taken tests with my doctor and he has said that I am not allergic to anything, exactly the same has happened to a few of my friends. This is the clever individual who thought "Why don't we get some body lotion, bung in a bit of fake tan, put it in a sunny, shimmery bottle and call it Holiday Skin? It'll sell like hot cakes!" They did, and it does, currently retailing for £4.99 from Boots or Superdrug, possibly less at supermarkets. This is a bit expensive for a body lotion, but it's pretty cheap for a fake tan. Disadvantages: must apply exactly right and ensure you wash your hands thoroughly

The second time I applied it I found that applying a body lotion first paying special attention to the drier areas of your body like your knees, elbows etc made the application much more successful. I have also cheated by applying the lotion now with a sponge thus avoiding any nasty stains on your hands and plus ensuring not too much is applied in one go. This product does give you a lovely healthy glow and I think it is best suited to you when you have a slight base tan, rather than being very white. I'm a beauty-whore, as my sister calls it, and this is the one product I'm loyal to, so it must be good! It comes in it's distinctive pink rounded bottle, with a secure flip-lid. It can be bought in various sizes, but mine cost about £1.99, I think, for 300ml. ...I just love the Johnsons baby products and the baby lotion is a favourite of mine. I have 3 children the oldest being 8 yrs, then 6 yrs, and the baby who's 2 yrs, and after having a bath they still use this!! It's got one of thoses smells that everyone just loves......newborn kinda smell, it's so clean and fresh and light, it's sutible for the whole family. I use it all the time and even after buying my own body lotions I will always revert back to using this. It comes in 300ml bottle for about £2 and a 500ml bottle for around £3, it comes in a pink plasic bottle with a flip-top cap it's then got to be squeezed but you really don't need a lot because it's quite rich and does spread in easily.
