...I have always had dark upper lip hair and was looking for a product for years which would make it less noticeable. I didn't want to shave or wax the hair because i was worried about it growing back thicker and stubbly. After weeks of looking for something, i came accross Jolen. After reading the box, i new this is what i needed, so i immediatley bought it and went home to try it. Jolen Creme Bleach

Advantages: Good bleaching when left on for noted time.
Disadvantages: Can burn and cause irritation.

...I purchased my first set of Jolen Creme Bleach after it took me half an hour to build up the courage and will power to yank a wax strip from my upper lip! I bought the mild formula with Aloe Vera, as I have sensitive skin (therefore waxing also left my upper lip red for hours, even when I applied a cold compress immediately afterwards). At first I was quite perplexed by having to mix up the accelerator and bleach myself, and carried out the test patch on the inside of my arm. What I hadn't accounted for was that it would also bleach my gradual tanning moisturiser! So I ended up with a lovely white patch (luckily on the inside of my arm, where no-one really looks anyway). Advantages: Lasts ages and works.
Disadvantages: The fact you look like an idiot while doing it.

...What a lovely picture I paint of myself but being dark haired of Italian descent I do have hairier arms than the average English Rose......I do however have bonuses, don't sunburn and go very dark skinned in the summer months so I guess I shouldn't complain about the slight 'chimp looking' arms!! Moustache no more!

...As a dark-haired girl, I am not ashamed to admit that I use a bleach to lighten facial hair. Yes, I might look funny doing it, but in my opinion I'd look a hell of a lot funnier with a moustache! Don't get me wrong, I'm no bearded lady, but I've been using Jolen for several years because it just makes me feel more confident about something that, let's face it, most girls have, especially brunettes. For me, bleaching is a far less scary prospect than waxing my upper lip - stumpy regrowth hairs might look funnier than if I'd left well alone! - and it is a painless, quick way of tackling hair a little darker than you'd like. Jolen can be used on arms, face, or pretty much anywhere except "sensitive areas" (the location of which I think you can draw your own conclusions) and around the eyes. Which is why, last week, I was lurking around the hair removal aisle in Boots at the Trafford Centre, a box of Jolen facial bleach in my sweaty palm, praying that nobody I know would go past! My first thoughts were that you don't get a lot for your money - inside the ordinary-looking cardboard box is a tiny, Barbie-sized 30ml jar of creme bleach, a plastic spatula and a 7g tube of 'accelerator' powder, which I assume is to speed up the bleaching process. Creamy white mixture on your face!!!

...If you are reading this then you probably also have the dreaded problem of a hairy top lip!!! So you have looked at other methods of getting rid of this fine hair. Waxing, which is painful, or shaving which is not a very reliable method as the hair comes back stubbly and coarser, plus you need to do it very frequently. So you opt for bleaching. Jolen is the only brand name I have heard of. I usually go for brands as I don't think some shop brands are up to scratch. Now you've bought your pack of Jolen. Being a brunette does give you long dark eyelashes and silky dark hair but it also gives you dark body hair, which in my opinion is the only downside. Now, my hair colour is a dark blonde, and although my body hair is basically invisible, like blonde baby hair, someone obviously thought it was funny to give me a gene that turned my facial hair light brown.
