THREE HEARTY CHEERS FOR JONATHAN EDWARDS
Advantages: Couldn't happen to a nicer fellow.
Disadvantages: None.
...Going for Gold, and achieving it! Hearty congratulations to Jonathan Edwards on his truly magnificent achievement of the Gold Medal in the Olympic Games in Sydney.
Whilst many of the pundits forecast glory for Jonathan, I was somewhat dubious, as he often just misses out on the ultimate glory of winning a major prize. This time, however, he reaped his just desserts with a triple jump which beat the rest of the World's best.
He always comes accross as a very quiet, unassuming, very religeous person, who truly represents the very best of good old-fashioned character. It is therefore refreshing to see that the Good Guys do still win. He sets a shining example to the youth of today, and I for one am overjoyed with his success. Long may it continue!...

Jonathan James
Advantages: All the basics plus more. Nectar Points!!
Disadvantages: Bit more pricey than other places
...Whilst browsing through various products on Ciao, I was flabbergasted to see this particular category, and well, I thought - who better to write a review on this lil Petrol Station than someone who knows it inside out. Someone who has been on both sides of the tills. Yes, that's right, this review doesn't just cover the delights of the petrol station in general - but has a dash of advice on being an employee!
About Slade End
Slade End, is one of two petrol stations in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire the other being West Park Street, both of them are Budgens and BP garages, ran by James Graven and Son, who also owns a garage in Ely, and a couple of Budgens stores in Soham and Dersingham. The owner, is the one and only Jonathan James, I met him a few times, and he was generous enough to pay for the wine at our Christmas Party in...

Boy A
Advantages: Easy read, real page turner
Disadvantages: Based on tragic events
... Boy A
As both a film broadcasted by Channel Four and a Book, Boy A has shocked me to the core, its shockingly realistic and naked representation of children in society is not hidden, however it amazingly portrays the other side to cruelty and violence from very young children against other children. Something that I had not considered ever wanting to understand or ever realised how deep and conflicted my opinions could become.
I hope that readers can appreciate that this review is not just of a book and is also of a documentary/film and of the tragic reality that the book tells.
The Book
Boy A is a novel written by a British author called Jonathan Trigell and it was published in 2004. The novel tells the story of a young man released into society after being imprisoned as a very young boy, he has a new identity...

What did Delaware?
Advantages: A good plot and lots of twists and turns
Disadvantages: A bit too long and bulked out
... THE CLINIC
Jonathan Kellerman
Introduction
The Clinic by Jonathan Kellerman, published in 1997, is part of the Alex Delaware series.
Most of Kellerman's stories take place in a clinical setting, and feature the popular character of Alex Delaware, a child psychologist. This is the 11th book of the series.
I usually enjoy these books as Kellerman's characters are very well developed, and the stories usually quite captivating. Kellerman's experience in psychology helps to make his characters, and especially his villains, more believable.
Who is Alex Delaware?
Delaware first appeared in the 1985 book 'When the Bough Breaks'; this was the first of 23 books (so far) that he starred in.
He's a semi-retired psychologist who occasionally is asked to work with the police department. Usually...

If you like a good mystery to solve this is for you!
Advantages: Brilliant acting, fascinating storylines
Disadvantages: None for me
...At Christmas I had a lovely surprise from my husband who bought me the complete boxed set of Jonathan Creek DVD?s. Dave insisted that I had told him that I wanted this set but all I had said was that I liked Jonathan Creek ? I didn?t actually realise that this set existed so it was a great surprise for me!
The boxed set consists of five DVD cases ? each of the first four contains two DVD?s and covers each of the four series. The final one only contains one DVD on which there are the two Christmas specials from 1998 and 2001. The whole thing is classified as 15 presumably because there are a lot of murders!
For those of you not familiar with Jonathan Creek each episode centres on a seemingly impossible crime which is eventually solved by Jonathan whose job is to design illusions for the magician Adam Klaus.
Examples of the crimes...

Gone - but not forgotten.
Advantages: A quick and easy read
Disadvantages: guessed 'whodunnit' a bit too easily
... Gone - Jonathan Kellerman
It's that time of year again. The time of year where I am on the look out for anything to read. I'm a bit of a book slut to be honest and anything goes!!!
I picked up 'Gone' by Jonathan Kellerman in a bundle of book I bought from a local charity shop.
I've never actually read one of Kellerman's books before but seemingly he is " the international bestselling thriller writer, best known for his series featuring psychologist Alex Delaware", and this book was one of the Delaware series.
At one time I would never have chosen such a book to read, but I have noticed that I have been reading more and more crime thrillers over the last few months and beginning to enjoy them and also to become quite good at guessing ( not always correctly I may add) 'who dunnit'.
Seemingly 'Gone' is...

Jonathan's Baked Rice Pudding - winter warmer
Advantages: Great warming creamy dessert, far better than bought tinned rice
Disadvantages: longer cooking time
...and golden when baked and is lovely in the pudding itself when served as it tastes golden and deliciously crunchy.
Making rice pudding this way gives it a very creamy, rice pudding and golden taste.
I have found serving rice pudding with a slice of apple pie is a great accompainment to the rice as rice and apple go very well together.
Compared to any tinned rice that is insipid, and tinny tastin e.g Ambrosia home made is so much better.
I hope you enjoy this delicious winter warming rice pudding review and give it a try if any of you have time.
Thank you for reading
Jonathan....

Russia: a journey to the heart of the country and its people
Advantages: informative, well reported historical facts and interesting encounters with locals
Disadvantages: too much personal life of the journalist in the book (not inherent to the context)
...Russia (A Journey to the Heart of a Land and its People) is a report about a journey through Russia, by a distinguished broadcaster and author Jonathan Dimbleby.
The journey starts in Murmansk, in the Article Circle and ends in Vladivostock, in the Far East Asia, 10,000 miles and eight times zone away. Dimbleby travels by road, plane, boat and train covering the major cities of Russia such as Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Ekaterinburg, as well as less known cities and realities in the country.
During the trip, there are many encounters with Russian people of all class and creed and this is, in my opinion, the backbone of the book. It is by talking with the local people that Dimbleby and the reader can understand about Russia, a country that is still, as Churchill once famously put it, ?A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma...

Please Sir, can I have some Phroar!
Advantages: Avalanche of one-liners
Disadvantages: BBC bureaucrats
...Friday Night with Jonathan Ross
BBC - ONE - Friday's 10.35pm
Genre - Comedy Entertainment
Format - (4) guests usually, mainstay band 4 poofs and a piano, the green room where guests mingle and have a skin-ful before the interview onslaught, and a guest band for the finale
Please Sir, can I have some Phroar!

Dosed up to the eye-balls with cash from our BBC licence payers, thrown to the exile lions last year, sours the BBC tone to depths of sordid anecdotes every week; and what you get is the 'fire-proof' Jonathan Ross.
ITV have been after him for years, but will have to induce extra lucrative deals with Microsoft advertising every 7 minutes to make Ross's head turn to the other side. Then again his package as vast as it is reported to be, it certainly brings a tear to your eye, in humour...

THERAPY CAN KILL
Advantages: Good plot concept, specific well developed characters, engaging style of writing
Disadvantages: Disparate storylines, weak plot, too many characters, weak characterisation
...INTRODUCTION
I first discovered Jonathan Kellerman some years ago. I tend to go through phases where I read one author more or less continuously until I discover something knew and in this case it was no different. More recently I?ve been more smitten with John Grisham, Martina Cole and James Paterson as well as developing an interest in modern fiction. However, I went on a training course recently with an overnight stay and picked up this Jonathan Kellerman novel in a buy one, get one half price deal at W H Smith.
