...Twilight has become a new "fad" in my area and it is quite annoying. I love the book and quite like the film but since the film came out every-one is gabbing about it....its old news for some. Another thing that really gets me is there are people out there that did hear of the book way before the film and pushed it aside thinking it wouldn't be that good when they didn't even give it a chance...grrr! ...I have had this book for a while but never got around to reading it. Then the movie can out and there was allot of talk around this book so I decided to return to it and give it a second chance. When I did return to it, realised that Stephenie Meyer had been quite busy and written 3 more books in The Twilight Saga which was great since I quite enjoyed Twilight. I have read some of the other reviews and yes it's not the best written book but the story is enjoyable and you do get hooked. In Twilight (the first book in the twilight saga) the story basically revolves around Edwards and Bella falling in love. But unfortunately there is a big complication as Edward is a vampire and the scent of Bella brings out the blood lust in him. The courtship between Bella and Edward does get drawn out quite a bit but I believe this is supposed to be...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. ...Breaking Dawn is the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer's series, aimed mainly at the teenage girl market, with elements of romance slightly outweighing those of horror, fantasy and action. It is a brilliantly scripted fourth book, and does the other three justice. It is worth pointing out that it would be very hard to read this book as a stand alone novel, as events that have occurred in the previous three books are very relevant, and I feel you may flounder with incomprehension should you attempt this fourth tale without the experience of the first three under your belt. Similarly, in reviewing this fourth book, I may reveal elements of these previous three books which could spoil them for you. ...I was surfing online stores for books when i came across the book eclipse (the third book in the twilight series). I read the basic outline of the third book and thought it was fantastic so I just had to buy the first one. When it arrived i was so excited that i sat down straight away and started to read it. I just couldn't put it down. Its a romance story about a vampire and a human, this match is what makes the book so thrilling to read. The description that Stephenie Meyer uses creates such an image that its like your actually there in the town of Forks. 17 year old Bella Swan is just like your average teenager and lives an ordinary life until she meets the Cullen family. Then her world is turned upside down when she goes to watch the family play a game of baseball vampire style during a thunder storm. Then on its a thrilling story......

...Going for Gold, and achieving it! Hearty congratulations to Jonathan Edwards on his truly magnificent achievement of the Gold Medal in the Olympic Games in Sydney. Whilst many of the pundits forecast glory for Jonathan, I was somewhat dubious, as he often just misses out on the ultimate glory of winning a major prize. This time, however, he reaped his just desserts with a triple jump which beat the rest of the World's best. He always comes accross as a very quiet, unassuming, very religeous person, who truly represents the very best of good old-fashioned character. It is therefore refreshing to see that the Good Guys do still win. He sets a shining example to the youth of today, and I for one am overjoyed with his success. Long may it continue!...
