Lloyds on Lloyds
Advantages: Many branches, deposits easily made
Disadvantages: Sometimes the shear size cannot deal with individuals across depts
...Lloyds TSB, a fusion giant of the Lloyds Bank and the Trustee Savings Bank in 1995, becoming one of largest banks in the UK. Its head office now in London, Gresham Street. In Scotland it is known as Lloyds TSB Scotland. It also owns Cheltenham and Gloucester, Scottish Widows, and Black Horse.
This is an example of a monster of a bank who are extremely good to you if you are paying the staff wages, but when you get into difficulties they seem to heavily crush you. Mind you it is not fair to say Lloyds are alone in this, all the financial institutions operate this way.
But Lloyds in my experience are relatively good in some departments but poor in others. If there are no problems with your accounts then there is not really a problem. However, if you open many accounts with them, they have various departments dealing...

I won't be returning.... maybe you will
Advantages: An interesting way of trying to tell a tired tale; cross-gender appeal
Disadvantages: Hard to get into and rather shallow
..., has her own issues. Completing the set is Greg Stringer, known by his surname or affectionately as "Horse", desperate to prove himself in a number of respects!
We follow the friends, together with a few accomplices in the weeks up to the wedding: the preparations, the stag party, the hen party and finally the wedding.
The style of this book is, for me, what makes and breaks it. Each chapter is written in the first person but from the perspective of one of the 4 characters, Matt, Stringer, Susie and H (interestingly NOT Jack or Amy who narrated the first). Under the co-authorship of Josie Lloyd and Emlyn Rees, we are, I imagine, meant to read authentic male/female perspectives on the situations in hand.
Now, it may be that I was at a disadvantage not having read the first in the series, but I actually found the style...

Josie Rocks!
Advantages: Excellent music, Rachael Leigh Cook - miaoww!
Disadvantages: Not exactly hilarious
...Josie and the Pussycats centres around an all-female pop/rock trio who are desperately trying to make it big in the music business. At the start of the film we see their humble beginnings, playing gigs in a bowling alley (!) hoping that maybe one day they will somehow be spotted by some music industry head honcho and given the record deal and stardom they crave so badly. Well guess what - one day, on the way home from another ‘gig’, that very thing happens and they are immediately signed up by the head of one of the biggest record labels in the world (played masterfully by Alan Cumming). However not all is as it seems, as it soon emerges that The Pussycats are purely being used by the record label to brainwash the minds of the worlds youth into buying various consumer goods – including their own records – by...

Lloyds banking
Advantages: Easy way to keep track of finances
Disadvantages: Can be slow at times
...Lloyds TSB internet banking lets you manage your finances, apply for loans, credit cards, mortgages & pay off bills from home or anywhere with internet access.
It seems very secure, you have a 9 digit username which is randomly given to you to prevent people guessing then you have a password which much be more than 6 digits & preferably a mix of letters & numbers. You then also have to enter your memorable information which very similar to a password therefore can be pretty much anything you want it to be as long as you can remember it! It can sometimes be irritating having to enter this infomation every single time not to mention time consuming if you're in a rush to check your account balance but it does make it that little bit more secure & give you the extra peace of mind that your finances are secure.
Once you have...

Lloyds TSB
Advantages: Generally good service, helpful!
Disadvantages: High charges!
... Lloyds TSB
I have been with Lloyds TSB literally all my life, they've always seemed to be a good bank to me, they won't lend me money as it is as I've never had credit and have been a student and never had a full time job, which is good, a lot of banks don't care and will give money out to anyone regardless of whether they can pay it back or not, but I've never had this with Lloyds, the only thing with them is the charges they put on your account for an unplanned overdraft, but these unplanned overdrafts I take with Lloyds really are a godsend when my wages are short by 50 pound one month and my phone bill needs paying so I don?t mind a £25 charge for a £100 unplanned overdraft, it s when you go overdrawn by 4p that the charge is annoying!!!
Other than this, Lloyds have been a very good bank for me, yes they try to sell me...

The Seven Year Itch- Surely It's Less Than Seven Years These Days
Advantages: Easy to read - some very funny dialogue
Disadvantages: The ending is a little cliched.
...The Seven Year Itch - Josie Lloyd and Emlyn Rees
I don't often get chance to read that many books - even chick lit - but a friend of mine gave me this book to read on holiday, when you have time to relax and read something easy and not too serious.
What's it all about?
I feel like I have come to the party late with this book, as it seems there are many more books that have been written by this duo (who are partners in life also) about the same characters to boot. So the first thing I will say is that I easily got into this book, without knowing anything about what had happened previously.
Amy and Jack are a couple with a small child, and have slipped onto the domestic merry go round, bogged down by routine and wondering if anything exiting will ever happen to them again. Jack has given up his career as an artist to...

Advantages: Helpful bank, always try to help during financial difficulty.
Disadvantages: Try to sell you things you don't want, high bank charges.

Don't scratch! Read!
Advantages: absorbing story
Disadvantages: none
...'The Seven Year Itch' is written by the very successful husband and wife writing team of Josie Lloyd and Emlyn Rees. They first started writing together about seven years ago when they wrote a book called 'Join Together' which was about a couple of characters called Jack and Amy who were just about to get married. I remember really enjoying reading this book especially as I was just about to get married myself and I could see quite a lot of parallels between the story and my own circumstances. I was really pleased when I started to read 'The Seven Year Itch' that Jack and Amy were back again, this time seven years into their marriage, just like me, and once again, as I read it, I found myself identifying with much of what was happening in the characters lives.
As I said, Jack and Amy have been married happily for seven years and now...

Not in Love with Love Lives
Advantages: Easy reading
Disadvantages: Some characters not as well developed as others
...Husband and wife authors Emlyn Rees and Josie Lloyd, as well as being published individually, have been writing together for a number of years. Love Lives is their fourth collaboration following on from Come Together, Come Again and The Boy Next Door. They have had two more books published since entitled We Are Family and The Three Day Rule. Their writing topics bring them under the genre of chick lit (or women's contemporary romantic fiction if you prefer!). Obviously a book entitled Love Lives is going to be about love but Lloyd and Rees also bring in relationships with family and friends to try and make the book different from a classic romance. Naturally, as with all good romantic fiction the path of true love does not run smooth and unfortunately this is quite a predictable romance as far as the ending is concerned but...

Does First Love Last Forever??
Advantages: Enjoyable
Disadvantages: Predictable
...The Boy Next Door is a paperback brought to us from bestselling authors Josie Lloyd and Emilyn Rees.
Set in the English village of Rushton during the 80’s, Mickey Maloney and Fred Roper have been best friends their whole life and shared everything together from the day they were born, from their first cigarette to their first kiss. As children they were constantly up for the latest challenges set by one and another to bring fun into the sleepy village, which they both deemed as boring but one of those adventures resulted in Mickey saving Fred’s life.
Fred seems easily led by Mickey and goes along with anything she suggests, he is an only child, his parents don’t seem happy together at all, in fact at a guess I would say they stay together because they need each other, his mother (Louisa) being totally against...
